Unfortunately I cannot give Nexon less than 1 star!

This company makes games and gladly takes your hard earned cash and then refuses to police their own game. Constant racism, bigotry and other stuff you just don't expect to still see on a game in 2020!
However that is not the worst part. They released a game 9 months ago and let everyone spend their cash until Nexon's pockets got fat. After the cash spenders slowed down, they completely closed the entire game with no hesitation, no refunds or concern for the community they created! Took the money and ran, gg Nexon! And for that, I will never play another Nexon game.

Awful Company

Garbage company, bought 80$ worth of in game cash, banned before i could even spent them, refused to refund me the unspent amount.

The customer support is beyond the worst. Support I've ever seen

The customer support is. Horrible. And rude at that and they dont care if The company is the reason you get beat out of your money. When they have errors they do not take responsibility and fix them they tell you "I'm sure you can make the money back" and Want to close the ticket instead of helping their customer or fixing the issue

Don't buy stuff from this company

Don't buy stuff from this company. You'd get something equal and less. Took them long enough to get sued from making rigged gachas. GW2 is a far better game and they rollback your characters if you loose it.

UNACCEPTABLE

UNACCEPTABLE. I download a new game, hoping to play with my SO and it AUTObans me for NO reason. I barely got to play it!! It tells me to submit a ticket at [URL] and I can't even log in to submit it!!! This is BULL. Let. Me. Tell. You.

Crap company with horrible customer…

Crap company with horrible customer service, I paid for premium membership, and they still took 18 days to resolve my issues, it was always me that had to reach out for a response. They are only good at stealing money.

The support in Maplestory 2 is…

The support in Maplestory 2 is HORRIBLE. I pay these guys for the premium pack and even more to support them, yet they let meso spammers run rampant in chat and when you try to out talk them you get muted for 24 hours and the support tells you "not enough evidence" to unmute you. Hell, all you got to do is login to the damn game and you'll see the spam GM Fhebby

Overpriced, deceitful practices and support that "cannot help"

This review is mostly from Maple Story player's perspective, although their other games seem to share similar practices.

Overpriced:
This company has some of the most expensive cosmetic monetization in any MMOs. A full outfit can cost you from 20$ and it will expire in 3 months. They also offer "convenience items" (pets and androids) that a full set of will cost you another 15-50$ / 3 months and they drastically reduce the amount of menial work you do and increase performance, really.... A free player will never catch up, if playing as much as a paying one...

Deceitful Practices
It is only clear when items expire, however, cash currency and MVP service also expire and they provide no links to let you know that. You have to know where to look for information to know that cash currency expires ( There is no link to that page in their billing pages ). MVP service, which gets better as you spend more cash in game is designed in a way where you can have it for a day(Yeah, you can spend 200$ one day to get a rank and get downgraded to lower rank the next day). The only official source of information about it is an update note (which, again, you will never find, unless you know you have to look for it).
Just to clarify, if links to relevant information were in Billing pages and MVP pages respectively, I would have a bit less of an issue with that.

Support "cannot help"
To put a cherry on top, when you contact support (even about issues THEY CAUSED), they will often just tell you that they cannot help. This has been my experience every time I contacted them (so far: 4 times on my own accounts and 2 more on behalf of another person).

I am not talking about complex problems either. I once contacted them asking to delete or rename (to anything) a character that I couldn't delete in time because of an "unexpected" maintenance that lasted 2 days. In short the problem was caused by them they responded with "we are sorry, we grant your request" and I lost 3 days of an event because of it.

I spoke to a lot of players in game about this and apparently, it's a common problem. However, players who contacted them about payments not going through, or any issues relating to cash bugs got better luck....

Horrible gaming company

Horrible gaming company! I will NEVER play another game these lazy idiots put out. They want your money but give NO support. Just pathetic! If you're playing a game they support,leave it now. If you're looking to play a game they support, save your time and fine another game. Nexon is horrible. They gave up on OVK and your game is most likely next.

UNCARING

I've been a Vindictus player in the beta version, then came back in the end of 2015. Game's always getting new content. But, as I learned, none of their updates is bug proof. I've been enjoying the game in the last months, until I get a major gameplay bug occuring, which would get me killed really easily. Ticket has been sent, but here's where the crap began. The bug was really annoying and unfair, and the next time I look up the tickets, 2 months later, they considered it SOLVED. WITHOUT ASKING OR ANY CONFIRMATION. A 2nd ticket is what I did, and I have been told to wait. Now, it's been 4 months since I sent that ticket, and they have released a big update (Rise update). The bug is back, and even more occuring than before, game's now unplayable. Not only to me, but to every other player of the same class as I. Worst customer service ever, they're just being narcissic. Besides, I heard they care only about their public in Korea, and not at all in America. We're just wallets to them.

I never minded nexons massive pay2win concept in my time playing maplestory. Sure i spent grands of usd's to make my equips powerful but i never minded it cuz its nexon, whaddya expect. But the last update is where i cross the line.
The last update removed every duplicated/illegally generated item from the game. Thats fine and all, but if theres a risk to accidently deleting things that arent duplicated and actually made from scratch and alot of money, then dont even bother doing it. I have lost a piece of cra top, aka a very expensive equip that took around 5-600 usd to make from scratch (its hard to make cra powerful, and obviously VERY expensive). Nexon had the nerve to remove it because it was somehow looked at as duplicated and was ubruptly removed from the game. I always knew nexon was full of scapegoats, but i didnt know that they can go down so low as to start deleting items that people worked hard on, such as myself.
Im gonna start calling out a name here, because she was practically useless and only added more salt to an open wound. Idk whether its a he or she or whatever and i quite frankly dont care, but I hope that GM Eysera gets fired on the spot. She was the one I had to deal with. Now I understand that GM's dont have the power to bring items back, only request it, but she had the nerve to tell me that my item was illegally made, wouldnt even give me a reason as to why it was looked at as illegally made even though i asked for one, and just told me that any further responses from me will get ignored from here on out. THAT is where i draw the line right there.
Sorry nexon, I didnt mind your extremely expensive process in making good equips myself, but you can thank not just the update, but mainly Eysera for treating me like Im a duplicator myself for quitting. I gave you guys my money yet you dont even give me what I paid for. If I was given a reason AT LEAST as to why I lost my equip, then I most likely would've continued playing and remake my equip. But I was only left out in the dust, and thats exactly what Im going to do from here on out to nexon.
Its sad to know that if you make a good equip in maplestory that you gotta hope that it doesnt get taken away from you on the next maintenace that deletes "illegally made" items from the game. It takes hundreds, for some almost a grand to get just one piece of equip up to par out of like, 20 something equips. If you have the disposable income like I do and can afford that then go ahead, just know while your making it that it may get deleted by accident on the next dupewipe, regardless on whether you made it from scratch or not, or how much money you spent on it. THAT my friends is just below scum level, in other words, nexon. They can talk to me again when they decide to give me back what they accidently deleted (which wont happen) but until then, cya nexon. I was probably one of your more bigger money maker, but not anymore.
Idk if any other game by nexon is like this, but point is stay away from maplestory unless you plan to play on kms or tms or whatever, because in gms, which is the server in usa, you'll only get screwed with dupewipes, I guarantee it. You can play the game as legit as you can possibly can like i did, nexon wont care, or at least in terms of gms, nexon america. Make your own equips from scratch at your own risk.

Trash Service, Shady Business

I requested an account deletion through customer support. Apparently, they require a copy of your driver's license, passport, birth certificate, or other government ID. I don't full trust sending out such sensitive information out over the internet to a company I'm not confident in.

I've had a back and forth with customer service. I originally sent an ID photo with all information blurred except for my first initial and last name because that's the only information they have to check against.

They came back saying that was unacceptable and they needed my face, address, date of birth, etc. to confirm I'm actually who I say I am... I feel like I'm missing something. What are they confirming this information against? I've never bought anything. I only played Vindictus for a short time.

Again I refused, saying I would sooner seek council than send my ID. Saying, essentially, they're asking me to expose myself so they can look after my security.

Received an email back saying, paraphrased: I'm the highest point of contact you're allowed to talk to, have your lawyers contact ours.

Well, I'm poor and have no intention of getting a lawyer. Looking at their Terms, I'm actually not allowed to. I have to represent myself in private arbitration.

I just want to delete my account. Most places, it's the click of a button. With Nexon? Get a lawyer. This is why everyone hates you Nexon.
