Avoid this company. Their website states they are no longer taking on new orders. All existing orders have been placed on hold. Tried calling and sent various emails with no response. Ordered two items of furniture 8th Jan and haven’t received delivery. I have asked for a full refund but haven’t had a response. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE!!

As all other customers ordered bookcase last year and despite promises of deliveries, and blame on delivery company never their fault. Now they have basically ceased trading. So no refunds so much for all the blurb on website about refunds and secure payments. Someone has all the money. As it’s not a bricks and mortar site they have virtually no overheads. Obviously no stock either they rely on importers. Sadly my wife paid with bank card not credit so doesn’t look like we will get anything back.

Made an order in December for a coffee table. Called twice in Jan for updates, told they were awaiting stock and delivery would be early Feb latest. Called again today, straight to answerphone, checked website and big notice saying not taking further orders.
I'd say unlikely a scam but clearly things aren't all right with this company so beware, especially as they have become unreachable. Have submitted claim with credit card company.

An experience similar to many:

3 items of furniture ordered in July 2022 with an estimated lead time of 6-8 weeks.

None of the items have been delivered despite repeat assurances by email that they were coming into stock and would be delivered by November 2022, then January 2023.

After requesting a cancellation of the order and a full refund 8 days ago, the line of communication has gone dead and this frankly fraudulent company is seemingly ignoring these complaints.

Like others, I'll have to go directly to my bank in order to arrange an eventual refund.

Abhorrent company and deceitful customer service.

EDIT - Despite ignoring all cancellation and refund requests, I did receive an email shortly after posting this review.

The company is clearly in trouble financially, has furtively misled customers by placing blame on couriers, stock shortages etc. and is now in a position of being unable to reimburse paying customers for goods they will never receive.

Even if this company does survive to resume taking orders - avoid at all costs.

Ordered and paid over £1200 for a cabinet in November 2022…..awful communication from this company. Had an email 2weeks ago that delivery eta was week of 13 February - obviously no response to my phone calls /messages and have now seen the notice on their website. Absolutely furious and frustrated - will be contacting my bank this morning.

It seems I am amongst many customers who have been let down by this company. I ordered a bookcase at the start of November and became concerned when I heard nothing. I sent emails and left messages, eventually getting a ‘delivery date’ in January which came and went. I paid over £380 and will be contacting my bank to see what can be done - a very frustrating experience all round.

Still no refund despite being supposedly processed? But did get a reply from Oak Furniture Hut!!!

“Trading standards are aware of the situation and we have already explained the current position of the company and they are satisfied with our explanation. We can only apologise for the inconvenience caused”

This is more than an Inconvenience!!!!
They have had my money for six months and not delivered the goods! And continued to take orders from other people.

I’ve had similar experience to others - I ordered a chest of drawers in May with a 6-8 week lead time. They cost £406. Was repeatedly told they were waiting for them to be delivered to the store. Then in December I was told they would be delivered, then it was going to be early January, then it was end of January. Last call I said the man said he was going to call the delivery company and call me back - he never did. Have had no answer to emails and calls ever since. Wanting my money back.

Ordered a large sideboard 16th August 2022 with 4-6 week delivery time. I have been repeatedly fobbed off and even lied to I.e. the customer service adviser told me on 31st January that my sideboard would be delivered 10th February. It wasn't. Now they aren't answering phones or emails. £793 out of pocket.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY it takes your money and doesn't supply the goods or refund your money. I ordered a cupboard in June 2022. I started chasing delivery in September 2022. I spoke with the owner and emailed him numereous times Sept 22 -Feb 23. Always an excuse why delivery delayed and then when given a delivery date it never happened. He offered a full refund but that has never happened to date.

I have seen on the Companies House web site that he has just changed, on 6th February 2023, the registered company address to Unit 4 Randall House 83 Church Road Addlestone KT15 1SF. Not a good sign I would suggest.

I have made a complaint to Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice web site.

My wife ordered an item of furniture on the 16/01/23 for £500.00 She did receive an email confirming the order but has since lost it. Both my wife and I have been phoning and leaving messages but as of today 11/02 we have had no response.
Reading the feedback today I note that on the company has stopped taking orders from the 10/02 but the website will remain open?

Please avoid this company at all costs...took monies for goods being display cabinets 2 no. believed would be delivered, not received too date. Ordered November 2022...3 delivery dates given and all failed. 2 months on nothing. Chased with countless calls, messages and emails. Out of pocket by £1500.00...cancelled order requested monies back. Now have reported to bank and Trading Standards. Please beware of this company

Really like the dressing table I ordered. It came without the chair but that was quickly resolved.

Unreliable delivery
After ordering on 9th September I've still not received one of my wardrobes. One was delivered (a week later than I was originally told) but the other was apparently damaged and had to be reordered. Since then I've been told 5 times when it will arrive and each time they've failed to deliver.
Whilst the wardrobe that had arrived is of a good quality, and I appreciate the challenges of organising delivery for small companies I can't recommend using oak furniture hut.

I placed an order in early December. I was told to expect delivery in mid-January. I was given an expected delivery date in mid-late January. I have heard nothing from the company for two weeks. My nearly £1000 has not been returned to me. Nor has the item arrived.

Oak bookcase was purchased in early November 2022. Delivery was confirmed at 2/3 weeks. Called company in December and was promised delivery in a week. I kept reviewing by phone and email. Excuses such as a change of courier, lack of vans due to an exhibition in Birmingham and many others. Wasted time staying in waiting for promised deliveries on numerous occasions. Clearly this is a scam. I'm not often caught out but the website was convincing and Trustpilot reviews at the time were good (how did they manage these!)
Have now been refunded by my credit card provider.
I hope others who have been scammed are successful in the return of their hard earned cash.

Disgraceful company. Even worse that the law allows this sort of outfit to operate. This is brazen theft of your money and Oak Furniture Hut needs shutting down if it hasn’t already done so. No reply to voice messages or emails. Holding many £100’s of my money. I may need to pay a visit to Addlestone.

Good news to everyone who has not received the goods they paid for.
I got in touch with my bank and they paid it back while they investigate.

Ordered desk 03/11/22 and still waiting for a delivery date!!!
Can’t get hold of anyone by telephone as it’s an answer phone!
Have sent numerous emails still with no delivery date.
Avoid at all costs!!
