Beyond horrific
What can I say, passport control was an experience we will never forget (2 adults 2 children) returning from Paris to Northern Ireland. Hundreds upon hundreds of people trapped at passport control in Terminal 2D for 2+ hours. Grown adults ready to physically fight each other to be next in line. The staff "manning" the 4 queues they had created for 1 window open were truthfully a joke. It got to the point the staff vanished and there was no one to hold back the crowd, it then became a free for all the get to the window. We were in the queue for passport control from 3pm for a 4.50pm flight, we did not get through until 4.50pm, multiple families boarding the same flight were in the same position as us, resulting in a delay of the flight. Children screaming, people crying, sweat running off everyone as the temperature in the building was insane. Honestly, I am beginning to wonder was it a social experiment being filmed for some sort of reality show because truly it was the most ridiculous experience of my life. Never seen anything like it and hopefully won't do ever again.
Charles de Gaulle Airport
Charles de Gaulle Airport: A Masterclass in How to Miss Your Flight
I didn’t know an airport could function this badly until I landed at Paris Charles de Gaulle for a layover. Imagine thousands of people funneled into a single, endless snake of a queue because most of the security lanes were just… closed. Not broken, not under maintenance. Just closed, while everyone watched the clock and slowly entered panic mode.
Meanwhile, the staff were moving with the speed and enthusiasm of a herd of sleepy sloths after a heavy lunch. They joked, strolled around, disappeared from their posts for 5–10 minutes for no apparent reason, and certainly didn’t bother to let anyone else step in for them. People were literally begging not to miss their flights; they looked more stressed than the staff, who seemed almost amused by the chaos.
After finally surviving this circus and passing security, I heard a passenger complaining to one of the agents because his AirPods had simply vanished after being sent through the scanner twice. Instead of showing the slightest hint of concern or trying to help, the agent answered with passive-aggressive, unhelpful comments—as if losing your belongings due to staff incompetence while you’re already late is somehow funny.
Passport control was just as shambolic: only two gates open for EU passengers, with dozens and dozens of people in line, inching forward at glacial speed. No information, no organization, no urgency. I travel all over the world for work, and I can honestly say I’ve seen better organization in so-called “third world” countries than in this so-called major European hub.
If you have a choice, do yourself a favor and avoid connecting through CDG. This place feels less like an international airport and more like a social experiment in how far you can push passengers before they completely lose it.
Worst and most unsafe airport
Worst and most unsafe airport in my life. Inside the airport 3 darktone gentleman approached me and tried to steal my luggages. Gunned guards walking around for decoration since it happened Infront of them and also the guy who tried to robbed me digged into the bin infront of them with no consequences. Be very careful at terminal 2 because without any English speaking or boarding pass checking they told us to take a shuttle bus that we realised was unnecessarily. We stucked there for almost 1 hour we told the driver and showed with google translator that he missed our gate he said he will go back but he didn’t said will take 1 hour with a whole airport city tour. He also said Fu… off to us many times, I tried to take complaint at airport website but when you filled up the form of course the next page says the page is not existing. If my partner don’t manage to run fast I would have miss my flight for sure. This disorganisation and chaos and unsafe environment is very shameful. Also be ready that Air France before security will check all of your hand luggage by kilogramms and one part of their airport also using still the liquid bag rule that I have never seen in my life anymore travelling around the world.
MISSED FLIGHT with 90 minutes transfer!
I had one hour 25 minutes to connect to my next flight and I MISSED IT because of CDG buses between terminals. If they told you that it's so long (50 minutes to go from E to D) I could have walked out and gone through security again in half that time. The agents just said "oh you will be ok", then when challenged they said "there's nothing we can do". Pitiful service. I want a refund from CDG for my missed flights.
Horrible airport if you have young…
Horrible airport if you have young children. Currently queuing for 45 minutes in the 'family' queue for passport control. Still nowhere near the front of the queue. Probably have another half an hour to go. No consideration at all for young families.
Charles de Gaulle Airport
This is the worst Airport that I have ever visited, the staff were unhelpful where families were concerned. We were being penalised as families, where ever we have been in the world they look after families with small children but not in Charles de Gaulle airport, It took approximately 2 hours to go through passport control, they had 3 flights arrive at the same time and only 2 Border control open, The managers should get their backside kicked for this, instead of the children being happy and excited they were crying and very upset at the wait we had to endure. I tried to ask the manager for help with my three Grandchildren who 2 of them were under 2 and they weren’t bothered. There answer was if you don’t like it don’t come to France. Our Taxi that we had booked had to leave us, we paid an awful lot of money for two cars with 2 baby seats and a booster to take us to our hotel, we had to squeeze 9 into a van with only 1 seat for 1 of the babies and a booster seat very upset by the whole experience, very very stressful for all of us. They have got what they said to us we will never be back to a country who treat people who have worked hard for there money and wish to spend it in their country and they proceed to treat us like cattle.
No clear signage
No clear signage, everything moves at a snails pace. Place is huge and takes ages to get around and there was no bar in out terminal
No food places
No food places! One of the workers says there was a McDonald after going through security DISCLAIMER: WHICH THERE WAS NOT!
No food places! No allergy friendly, resulted in having to go to use a microwave to heat food up in which doesn’t work.
Workers are rude and so are the people in the airport. I will never be coming here again and it’s a shame that this airport lets down its country sort it out because this country will lose a lot of tourists
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever, missed flight thanks to the lazy and shit system of this AirPort. Never again.
CDG is THE Worst airport I have ever…
CDG is THE Worst airport I have ever been to! The staff want you to put your bags through xrays as they do at every other airport but want everything removed from your bag and put in separate trays then shout at you and your kids when you don't understand why every little thing has to be separated.
Getting through immigration is appalling, they have a family queue yet can still take 2 hours plus for an officer to just stamp your passport. I have to say the immigration staff are the most miserable looking people I've ever come across.
Flight was delayed for an hour because immigration were so slow half of the passengers on our flight didn't manage to pass through in time.
Transfer security is the slowest I've ever seen
Bit conflicted as the hard product of AF economy MNL-CDG was satisfactory it can even be described as good. But the security transfer staff at terminal 3 were excruciatingly slow. They made me miss my flight at 715 next AF flight is at 1455. While queuing there, we made it clear to them that we need to be prioritized but no they said it was going to be ok. Ha, the security staff who handled our bags was like the lovable sloth in Zootopia DMV. I wish I could laugh but I was at the receiving end of this service. Just wanted to point out that if your customer is being communicative and asking for help, please listen and try to address the issue so you don't cause undue delay like what happened to me and my family.
Bravo! On était épuisés, les passagers exténués.
2.5 hours to clear immigration!
Took 2.5 hours to clear immigration!
WiFi was reliable and free throughout. Decent connection train between terminals.
Food, drink & duty free were more expensive than I expected
Really chaotic and unpleasant experience clearing immigration - 2.5 hours with a small child is difficult
One of the worst International airport
One of the worst International airport. Totally chaotic, no organisation. Security totally overwhelmed, only 4 belts open out of 10. Hundreds of people getting stressed, and flights delayed as a consequence. We had to ask people to kindly let us pass or we would have missed flight. The staff are rude and less than useless. Got there 2 5 hrs before flight and just made final call
Vol Transavia, TO.3524, du 28 Décembre 2025.
