First of the problems began on entering the caravan to unpack and put clothes in cupboards I placed my t-shirts in one cupboard and realised it was covered with what felt like sand photos supplied if requested.
I complained at reception and later that day was given £30 in food and drink vouchers that was satisfactory.
Two days later we found a soiled nappy dumped outside again photos if requested.
The following morning we found a dead rat behind the caravan it took two visits to reception to get it removed.
The final straw came when we had some rain the situation of the caravan meant we had to walk through red clay mud and leave a mess in the car photos supplied of trainers from one visit to car and back.

Nice big site. Reception staff were great as were bar staff. Plenty for families but we were a couple.
Only problem was flies in the bar/Restaraunt not nice when ur trying to eat.
We Had the gold caravan that can sleep 6, it was comfortable and clean.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Caravan clearly had not been cleaned as there were dead ants everywhere. Most doors did not close as they had dropped. There were fag butts everywhere round the caravan.
My husband came out in a rash after the first night in the caravan and had it ever since.
NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AT ALL.

Van was clean park was kept well and tidy location great no complints

I couldn't sleep on the plastic mattress covered with a sheet. I had to take all the cushions off the setee and use them as a bed on the living room floor, The parking spaces are too narrow for modern cars. I have a large car and the cars either side of me were large too. I f I parked in my space I couldn't get out of the car. I had to park at reception and walk bak.

We visited this resort late September, it was very good value for money. The park was well kept, swimming pool great and we were surprised that evening entertainment was still available. A great base to explore the Yorkshire coastline.

Shocking experience, would not recommend. Kids events cancelled, swimming over booked, entertainment extremely loud. The one thing we did manage to book for the kids (build a bear) we turned up and they didn’t have any stuffing so had to get a refund. The only thing it had going for it were the arcades which were off site

We stayed at Golden Sands in Dawlish in august and had a lovely time. Our caravan was beautiful absolutely spotless, the additional travel cot and highchair were also ready and waiting for us upon arrival, the only issue really would be it was a 6 berth caravan with only enough utensils and crockery for 5 and there was no where near enough pots and pans (not a major issue for us as we ate out most of the time). The facilities etc for the most part were excellent aside from the communication issue between reception and clubhouse wait staff. The welcome pack stated pizzas were served until late however we found this to not be the case at all, yet reception staff were not aware of this change when we queried it. The prices in the clubhouse are insane and in some cases overpriced for what you received but the food was lovely. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and I’d highly recommend Golden Sands.

Check in was fine..apartment was a good size...it was pretty clean apart for first bedroom..i removed the cobwebs myself..there was a lot...
Do need to put mattress & pillow protectors on.
Also a check list for staff would be good as some things where missing & blinds were falling down. Just needs more attention to detail.
All in all a good time was had.

There was few things I did not like the first being the charge for pets ,I feel the way things are set up to make things look cheaper then they are ,I booked a pet friendly caravan ,when I went to book in the said pet friendly no pets do I said yes two dogs ,he said oh you not booked them in ,they then charged me £60 for the 2 dogs for 4 days when I checked my booking we had said we wad bring 2 dog but hidden away under menus and right at the bottom you have to book in as extras which is crazy why would you book a pet friendly caravan tell them you have 2 pets and then pay as a extra ..... other thing is we booked for adults and the beds in the 2nd room were ridiculously small in fact they was not beds they were like bunks ,also in the club house you could not get lunch ,they did breakfast till 10 then no food till 5pm

Our accommodation, first break A 2 bedroom Lodge at Sand le Mere park , second A Gold plus 2 bedroom caravan was exceptional! Very new , clean and well equipped. The space in the lodge was amazing and furnishings lovely
Really made our relaxing break .
Also swimming pools clean and amenities great 👍

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. The animation team and compere at the club were great. The children in our party had a lovely holidayAlso other holiday makers were happy to help with telling us easy path to beach or bus times or any general enquiry. Our accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. We stayed in one of the lodges and booked for next year before we left

Silver sands Lossiemouth. We arrived as advised at 4pm to be told that the van wasn’t ready as the cleaners were still cleaning the van, no apologies, told to go have a tea in the club house, reception staff said the van wasn’t ready as it was being cleaned entry was from 4pm, I show them the email stating entry was at 4pm, 30 minutes later we were told the van was ready. On entering we immediately could tell that the van hadn’t been cleaned a used cotton bud on floor in shower room,crumbs in cutlery drawer and utensils and plates were dirty there was also a party balloon under one of the beds. We have been to many Parkdean parks over the years and have to say in general most of the vans we have stay in were of a high quality and standard, we had booked a gold standard van and going on past experience we didn’t feel this van was a gold standard and if it was then we would have to wonder what a silver or bronze would have been like. The clubhouse was what we expected with good staff and Lossiemouth itself a beautiful town with a special beech. Would we return yes to Lossiemouth but not to this site we felt the reception staff lacked warmth especially the elderly lady who we felt was in control.

The caravan had everything we needed , it was clean and comfortable, the park itself was also well maintained, we didn't use the club as our dog wasn't happy with the noise however it was great that dogs were allowed in there , the walk to the beach was rather long and not suitable for people who have difficulty walking so I would recommend driving there however it was a lovely beach with a dog friendly part a little way up so again fine if you can walk unaided
Overall it was a lovely quiet stay and we would return to this site

Perfect, much needed short break. Caravan clean and sufficiently equipped. Enjoyed the bingo and entertainment in the clubhouse. All staff and entertainers were enthusiastic, polite and courteous. Had a drive to Great Yarmouth and Southwold and a look around the broads.

Booked a gold caravan for 4 days 21-25th September and was our first holiday as a family in a caravan so didnt really have high standards. I wasnt disappointed other than the caravan carpets seemingly not being hoovered before about arrival which was the only sore point I had really as i have a child thats crawling. The location was good for walkers but not for families as to do anything required a 20-30 minute drive at least but thats by-the-by, as a whole couldn't complain. Kids liked it and thats the main thing for me.

The holiday was great.
The van however could have been cleaned better.
I cleaned the shower the side and glass had soap scum and water marks.
The pans in cupboard needed cleaning before use because they were greasy and food remains.
The heating didn't work there was writing on switch saying it didn't work.
It clearly wasn't wiped down or dusted with any care the sun coming in through the windows showed up marks where it hadn't been done.
There was staining to the sofa's in the livingroom.
We only stayed a couple nights. Out of the 4 we paid for.
My husband had just had operation to replace a new knee and wanted some freah air by the sea.
We enjoyed our time out of the van.
However the camp and fascilities were very clean and staff were very polite.

The caravan was dirty on arrival and had a broken door handle on the bedroom door, it was 3 days of asking before they replaced. Smoke alarm went off only at night after 4 days of asking I had to take off myself. I paid for a Gold + and the caravan was very basic. Won’t be saying at Carlton Meres again.

Lovely accommodation in a lovely setting. Helpful staff. Very clean and well kept grounds. Was nice to see lush green grass..so much better than other parks.

Paid for the WiFi and never received it. Spoke to various people who promised to refund the money. Initially turned up to find no caravan cleaning pack.
