Health Check - Poor
My parents (annual mileage = 4000) who are both in their 90's had their car recovered to a local garage - Protyre Warrington - for a new battery. This was fitted efficiently and without problems, however they were also told they needed new brake pads and discs. At the car health check at the same garage 2 months earlier they were told the brakes were good for another 14000 miles. They had done less than 1000 miles since the health check.
What is the point of having a car health check if the quality of the check and advice received at that point is erroneous - and potentially dangerous?
We did enter into communication and they made some valid points, but the trust is gone.
Needless to say, they won't be returning.
Review would have been 1 star had they not interacted with us.

Don’t do what they say…
Booked my wife’s car in for 4 tyres through website for Friday 16th
left the car with the garage and said I would walk home and just ring when done. Picked the car up at 12.30. All customer service good.when I got home checked over the car. All 4 wheels and tyres covered in tyre soap(not overly concerned) but on closer inspection one of the grey pressure valve caps had obviously been lost and replaced with a black one. Then saw that the all 4 valves hadn’t been replaced and the wheel weights had just been stuck onto the brake dust on the wheel rim and just flicked off when pushed with a finger.
Took the car back within 30 mins. Explained my concerns, I could see they were busy and I didn’t want to walk back home again so said I would drop the car off on Saturday morning, which the wife did while she went to the hairdresser When she brought the vehicle home,the wheels had been half wiped to remove some of the tyre soap but none of the valves have been replaced and the wheel weights are still stuck to a dirty wheel and will soon come off when washed.
I used you because you are a local company and garage and expected better than Halfords etc.
