Very slow service for two tyres being…
Very slow service for two tyres being replaced, Both tyres were wrong pressures resulting in a tyre pressure warning flashing up after a short journey, Rectified at home by letting pressure out of the two new front tyres!, Also a chip on one of the wheels

Service at opening time, MOT at closing time…
I usually am really happy with Protyre but this time not so much. I booked a service and mot combination and booked Workington as they could do it very quickly. When I arrived however, I was told the car would be serviced first thing in the morning and the MOT would be done at the end of the day. It wasn’t clear from booking this would be the case and had I known beforehand, I’d have waited for Carlisle slot. I always leave my car for an MOT and service and collect it a couple of hours later. I booked specifically a morning slot assuming both would be done in the morning. I was then told upon collection 15 mins before the garage closed that my car failed its MOT because of a rear bulb, which was fine. But… I was told “too late for us, can’t get supplies, we can’t fix it, so you’ll have to take it and get it sorted yourself.” I said fine, I’ll do that and get it tested closer to home. I was then told “you can’t do that, you have I’ll have to bring it here.” I said okay and left. Obviously I know how free retests work and half price free retests work… but I felt they just couldn’t be bothered to source a bulb because it was near the end of their day. I’m sure there is a TMS nearby… so I ordered a bulb off amazon, next day delivery for £1.29, fitted it myself and got Kwikfit (Junction Street, Carlisle) to test and pass my car for me which they did.

Excellent friendly and honest service
Desperately needed 2 new front tyres, I walked in within the last hour of the day and the friendly man at the desk was able to squeeze me and get the job done just before closing. He offered a range of tyres which he had in stock and advised me on which were the good brands and good value for money. Walked away very happy and really appreciated the last minute job :)

Car failed MOT on a Thursday
Car failed MOT on a Thursday , needed new brake pads, couldn't make the Friday to do a repair and retest, the man on reception said 2 o clock Saturday which I could attend, breakes done no issue he then said he couldn't do the retest as the tester had gone home, he said to pop in Monday for the retest , would take 10 minutes, he assured me no appointment was needed thisvwas in the workingtonstorr.
I went monday , and was told that I had no appointment and it couldn't be carried out, this was a different person on the front desk, he was polite and apologetic and offered to donation Thursday ofvthatvweek, wasn't ideal after a few days of being messed about. He mentioned the other fella had told about 4 other customers to turn up this was most likely because he was on holiday for the week. I found this really unprofessional.

I ordered and pre-paid for my tyres…
I ordered and pre-paid for my tyres online. When i went to collect my car I was told that unfortunately they don' have a laser aligner.
I explained that i had paid for this to be done and the guy said that i would bw refunded.
I didnt receive a receipt at the garage so I presumed that i would get it by email? So far I have never received my refund and never had any type of communication online. It has put me off returning to Protyre, as the after service has been rubbish.
