We have had eight sash windows completely replaced by The Sash Window Co. They are excellent and very easy and smooth to open and shut. The quality if first rate and we would recommend this company wholeheartedly. Their service is personal and very good. We would have no hesitation in using them again.

Amazing Quality Windows and Service.
Have used Sash Window Workshop twice now to install their Bi-Glass product. Highly recommended as the product, service and staff are excellent. Restored my period windows perfectly without destroying the character yet enhancing sound and heat insulation. Also expert knowledge provided and recommendations made to me, to suit my property exactly.
Windows will now last another 100 years ! Will be much warmer and quieter this winter.

Excellent service and beautiful sash windows
We had 17 sash windows replaced, including two bay windows, by the Sash Window Workshop. Prior to confirming the booking, we visited their factory in Bracknell and could see from that how well-organised a set-up the company is and how much attention and detail goes into making double-glazed sash windows.
The installers were great. All the new windows have been beautifully installed, look fantastic and hopefully will keep us warmer this winter. The company was recommended to us by a friend, and I would recommend them to others.

Highly recommended, professional and courteous team
Sash Window Workshop was recommended to me by a colleague and we're pleased to say we will also recommend them if asked. They draft-proofed all our sash windows (Victorian house) just over a year ago and we are very happy with the result: no more drafts, noises at street level much quieter and much, much less dust! The Q-LON seals are (so far) still in very good condition and all windows now open and close smoothly, too, with a nice "swoosh". In terms of the service, the team was professional and meticulous on the day, and considering how much disruption you would think comes along with having all ones windows removed and repaired, we were amazed that they did all 14 of ours in one day and had the house spotless by 5pm. Definitely worth paying the little extra ££ for this level of service and product.

pretty seamless and easy
Joe Parkinson the salesman is amiable and very presentable so you immediately feel your dealing with a proper company. The quality of the product appeared to be at the appropriate level.
Importantly quality and pricing were attractive - in SW London sash windows aren't cheap and most suppliers 'see you coming!!' I felt TSWW offered proper quality at very competitive prices and I also was happy I got their best deal.

THE SASH WINDOW WORKSHOP
I found The Sash Window Workshop professional and competent.
All aspects from the initial interview, taking instruction, preparing costings, surveying the works, programming, installation and completion were all under taken speedily and without fuss. All work was undertaken efficiently and tidily.
There was a slight problem after works the were completed during the 'settling in' period, they returned and repaired the problem without delay or question.

The Sash Window Company delivered a great service to us in designing and delivering the windows.
We used the Company on our first house were we changed all windows in the house. The windows arrive on time and were fitted very neatly and they just look amazing.
We were so happy with the service that we are using the company on another house we bought and the helped us from scratch with designing the windows and were they should go until execution of fitting. With the same very pleasing results.

I have been working with The Sash Window Workshop for a few years now through an ongoing refurbishment programme at a large property in Highbury.

The sash window workshop have had years of experience manufacturing glass for their own use. They have now expanded to supply the trade. They have an excellent facility that is well run. The team are happy to advise on all aspects of glass.
They supply an excellent product at sensible prices and they can be flexible and helpful when those small emergencies happen.

I have worked with this company for many years, over various different projects. They have never disappointed and their customer service and attention to detail is superb.

I am a difficult and particular customer who stands no nonsense with our contractors - if they were not good we would not continue to use them.

They don't understand the term renovate
We asked this company for a quote to 'renovate' 4 of our sash windows. They took 2 of them off and re-hung them, replacing the sash cords, re-hanging the weights and draught-sealing them. The problem here is that the cracked panes of glass and weather worn timber remained. This is not renovation. This is re-hanging.
We needed to get a different company to remove the sashes, cords and weights and draught-seal to renovate them before repeating the job that the Sash Window had done previously. Money down the drain
We stopped the job at 2 sashes and they tried to charge 75% of the quote for half of the work, despite it not being the work we wanted. Legal threats when trying to negotiate. I couldn't recommend any lower.
Their saving grace is that the fitter was perfectly pleasant and competent. Just sent to do the wrong job by his management, who don't seem to understand the word renovate. I would have thought this should be a prerequisite for a company specialising in repairing and replacing victorian windows.

I am sorry to read your review and indeed I am rather surprised at such vehement criticism, given the fact that you acknowledged in writing your responsibility for “signing up for the wrong works”. This is despite the fact that our schedule of work clearly stated that you were to have our draught seal and overhaul service, excluding decorations, and a very detailed specification of this service was freely available to you. I expect that the fact that there was 13 months between our initial quotation and your placement of an order may have had something to do with this.
The above said, we must accept that we have some responsibility for the fact that you, our customer, did not fully understand what we were going to do to your windows. We will try to make sure in the future we do not make that mistake again.
With regards to our service, the order was processed and booked with you efficiently and we arrived as scheduled to do our work. We carried out work to our specifications on two of the windows while you were away at work. Later, we received a call from you informing us that this was not what you actually wanted and that you wished to cancel the rest of the work, which was booked in for the next day. You told me that you were prepared only to pay a small part the value of the work carried out. I disputed this with you and we agreed, not unreasonably, that you would settle in full for the work completed. Contractually you were obliged to pay late cancellation costs, but we did not enforce this. I believe we acted entirely reasonably in this matter.
Lastly, I would like to point out that none of our previous email and telephone correspondence highlighted any suggestion of poor service or quality of work. This issue was simply a misunderstanding over the scope of our work.
I am sorry for the fact that our service did not suit your requirements. I acknowledge and am grateful for your positive comments about our fitter, his professionalism and his standards of work.
