I'm trying to register on the Council Tax site. I have been successfull with log in, answered all the security questions correctly, but I'm not recognised and advised to try again and to request a PIN. Done that but no response. There does not seem to be any way of contacting someone through the site.

We were attacked just outside our own property because we decided to video record a someone who threaten to set our house on fire, basically arson. we asked few questions about their intention and the drunk and disorderly neighbour who could not handle his drink, begun physical assualt and property damage (smacking my phone off my hand 8 times). If it's sunny and my neighbour drinks you can count on Islamophobic and racial comments something very commen around here, also this was confirmed by the 101 operator who said "unfortunately we get alot of these phine calls during hot summer days when people drink" so i replied "so is ok for people to drink and become racist/Islamophobic biggots?". The operator seemed ashamed and condemned the actions of the biggots but nothing materilised. I kid you not even with clear footages from multiple witnesses, there was no action taken. This has been ongoing since 2024. We have informed sheffield city council and south yorkshire police both took no action so far. Even though there is over 12 separate clips, 3 different cctv. There is no justice here in Sheffield the council and the south Yorkshire police are both ineffective against clear racism and Islamophobic remarks and laughing about direct threat to burn my family home by Mr Woodward. Just ignored by the authorities completely.
Also just for clarity the sheffield city council neighbourhood officer chris mager confirmed in writting no action will be taken against the perpetrator and his son despite all the evidence submitted so do not be surprised when we label sheffield city council and south yorkshire police complicit in whatever harm that may happen to my family. We informed the authorities and organisational bodies but a racist system is a racist system. No justice for black, brown or muslims thats is the message received. Just remember no bad guy ever wins. Justice comes from Allah, I was just giving the system a chance to put things right which they did not for over a year.
My colour scares them (weaponised black ethnicity) That is why the racist biggots first hated the black and browns then Muslims. The pattern is as clear as day. If you are black, brown and Muslim no justice, but the biggots forget they have no power over their own fate yet alone my fate and future. Justice will be got whether you want it or not. We don't like to be oppressed and we don't oppress. We live for justice which you failed to bring forth so we will do it through the courts. Level playing field.

Ordered a bulky waste collection. No-one showed up. Called and asked for updates, been totally ignored for a month. Almost 100 quid out of pocket and nothing to show for it. DO NOT USE!!

I have found out that the housing rents department had applied to the dwp to ask them to pay £342.36p out of my universal credit of £669.36p without first contacting me as i have struggled on both jsa and now uni credit i have too now decide same as before on who to pay and who not to pay.In my view the sheffield city council only cares about getting re-elected and allowing expensieve flats/apartments to be built too those who can afford the rent instead of helping people on low incomes survive and to help people who live on the streets in sheffield into accomadation repair houses on glossop road for this purpose and the same with the old park hill flats that are derilict.I was lucky to be a volunteer at the arches project and heard some truly heartbreaking stories from some of the clients in there.This council is not like the one i remember growing up in the late 1960,s and late 1970,s/80,s.we as sheffield citizens should stand up too the council and say enough is enough.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear ! Having read the reviews of Sheffield council tax telephone ‘service’ I have to admit that my expectations were not high …. But oh my God .. the council took that very low bar today and smashed way below it in spectacular fashion !
Having been on hold on the phone for 2 1/2 hours , slowly inching my way forwards from no 46 … I actually got to no 1 in the queue… so tantalisingly close and yet so very far …
The plinky Mozart music designed to soothe ( it didn’t ), throughout the ordeal … and messages of ‘All our staff are busy’ … suddenly changed after my epic wait .. to … Our office is now closed !! What ?? 2 1/2 hours and I’m 1st in the queue.. and you do this ?? Honestly .. this felt like a telephone equivalent of Squid games … good work Sheffield , that level of incompetency deserves recognition

As a disabled tenant, I am already navigating various challenges, and the presence of mould throughout the house, particularly in the kitchen, has significantly worsened my health. The mould not only creates an uninhabitable living environment but has also led to physical illness, making daily tasks increasingly difficult to manage.

The mould accumulating in various areas, including the walls, ceilings, and especially around plumbing fixtures in the kitchen, which has been a source of persistent moisture. This situation poses a significant risk to my health, as mould exposure can lead to respiratory issues, allergic reactions, and other serious complications. Paying for furnished but they won't replace not one item. Neighbourhood Officer it's just a spy for them!! ***the date is wrong - not sitting clicking like a mad man to prove I'm not a bot, to a ................ BOT

Mum is housebound. Can’t get up stairs to her own toilet due to her stroke.

Been fighting since April to be repeatedly told she has no medical needs.

They have acted repeatedly illegally and don’t even care

I’ve phoned throughout the day and each time I’ve called I’ve been placed at number 45 in the queue - funny that. Makes me think their services don’t exist.

If anyone manages to get through to someone regarding Council tax then please let me know your secret.

Sheffield City Council helped me to register for postal voting earlier this year. I went to the town hall and was dealt with immediately and politely. I was in and out in 15 minutes and received my ballot a few days later.

In contrast, I recently moved home and I had to ring the city council to inform them that I would no longer be paying council tax for the address, and I spent OVER TWO HOURS on the phone for help with a very simple query.

In conclusion, my face-to-face experiences with Sheffield City Council have been great, but over the phone was very challenging and frustrating.

As I write this I’ve been queuing on the phone for an hour and a half trying to sort out council tax. We emailed the council over 2 weeks ago explaining the fact that one of us was a student and we need the single persons discount. They ignored the email and sent out the council tax as it stood. I set up a standing order/direct debit to pay it anyway in the hope it would get resolved anyway and payments down the line would be amended. Nothing has been taken via direct debit or standing order and we’ve had no response to any enquiries.

Beyond useless, whoever is organising things there needs firing. I saw another review from two years ago saying waiting times were awful but they had been told more staff were being trained. This must have been a lie because waiting times seem to be even worse now. Maybe they can’t retain staff because of the rubbish working conditions. Either way someone needs replacing with some competent higher up the chain because it’s beyond terrible. (I’m not blaming the phone staff for this issue!). I’ve moved several times to different towns and cities and no where has the council been a bigger joke than this one.

We just want to pay our council tax!

Still have not had any response about my neighbours from hell, so i guess the council are going to nothing about ASB and drug dealing, I sent 3 letters on the 27th August 2024 with details about what those next door are doing, But no response yet

I visited Sheffield recently and could not believe the state of the city. I was so shocked I could not wait to leave and I will never visit Sheffield again. Thankfully I don't reside there. The council should be ashamed of themselves. To make matters worst I then received a Clean Air Zone fine! Clean Air? Sheffield City Council need to wake up and look at the city, it is a dump!

Rubbish all over the place, Hedges and grass verges not been cut for a long time, rats running about outside takeaway shops, dangerous pavements, unsafe roads, properties that need pulling down, street lights not working, homeless people begging at the traffic lights, the list is endless and Sheffield Council are worried about clean air zones!

I believe that World Snooker want to leave the Crucible in Sheffield as the players also say the place is a dump, I totally agree.

You now see councils going bust and I think Sheffield will go the same way. The best thing about Sheffield was driving out of the city. Wipe your feet on the way out.

The last person to leave Sheffield needs to turn the lights out..... Well if they can find any that actually work.

I will never go back to Sheffield and will tell friends and family about me experience visiting the city.

Goodness know what the council are spending the revenue income on but one thing is for sure it is not the city.

I live on Prince of Wales Road sheffield I rang the council to inform them there are rats around this area they just said they could not do anything about it and the women I spoke to said I am ending this call. Everyone in sheffield should refuse to pay council tax. I don't know what they do with the council tax they definitely don't spend it on this city. The big wigs in the council probably spend it on so called business dinners

Sheffield City Council don't care about homeless.
I got here at 9 am. Its now 11:25. 2 hours later and only seen 1 woman and 1 guy for 5 minutes each time. The woman spoke to quiet and didnt seem to care. The guy didn't seem to care and just seemed he wanted to keep me here until 12pm without seeing anyone. Told them ive work soon and cant wait around for long buy they didnt care. I've had to leave without seeing anyone again because Sheffield City Council don't care about anyone here. They're a disgraceful Council who are all just stood around doing nothing at all.

I guess I will go back to living in my tent in the woods. Sheffield City Council won't help you ever!

How are they unable to answer the phone - its basics !

I would like to thank my brilliant Sheffield city council plumbing department. I had a faulty kitchen radiator, with a couple of days a plumber came out, he quickly assessed my problem, changed the broken part, ordered a replacement unit. He then booked the new job. In a few hours I received a call from the team who efficiently booked my morning appointment for the unit replacement. Two days later my plumber Jon arrived. He was so polite & worked so hard but wasted no time. Within a few hours the job was complete. He tied everything up & took everything with him including the old unit & rubbish. I see many unnecessary complaints forwarded towards our council workers, they have a difficult often thankless job but I have always had positive experiences & I’m so grateful to have a lovely home with the support i need. Thank you all !! 10 ⭐️

They are live vultures and always know how to say things to pull you down and slag you of about how it is the best thing that your kid has been tuck out of your care for nothing and always have to be there when you are having contact with your kid when they don't need to

This Council is absolutely poor in standards and do not care about the tenants and people it serves. They do not uphold any of their commitments and make excuses when they fail to carry out repair work. The anxiety and distress they cause tenants is soul destroying.

The safety on the sheffield streets is absolutely poor!!!! Been attacked by a BLACK PERSON in the middle of the street with an axe 🪓, meanwhile resting with my husband a few min on the street after walking our dog....we called immediately the POLICE and NOBODY CAME....totally EXPOSING US... I might be even pregnant (we still wait for the results 🤞...I might be in an early pregnancy) ....I told them that a man is attacking us and threatening us with an axe 🪓 and they were like keeping us at chatting about what is the name of the street for 5 minutes in string....I asked them why they do not access the GPS from my mobile phone, and they started to pretend that NOW I was some how a bad person FOR CALLING THE POLICE WHEN ATTACKED WITH AN AXE!!! I asked them if they want us to be killed or why they do not come straight, and wait so much at the phone doing nothing immediately 😒!!!!! I hope that those police officers that done nothing meanwhile WE HAVE BEEN TREATHENED LIKE THIS, MEANWHILE BEING MAYBE EVEN PREGNANT ...TO GO IN HELL!!!!! And us to have the right people doing service to the community, and cameras on the streets to keep us actually safe!!!!! That man who attacked us would have never been supposed to ever even come out to us, to myself with an axe!!! It to go in hell 5 million times!!!!! 😮☹️
