Entered a bus gate for a moment, it was not obvious and was not sign posted clearly. I soon corrected this mistake and left the road on a side street. They still decided to enforce a £30.00 fine for this. They put up the monthly rates on tax also and you see nothing from it. Awful!

Disgraceful using there own views and feeling to cancel and allow what they want to happen

Sheffield city council have announced that a company will be doing road works and it has left 2 disabled people who needs support and food delivery with no means of getting either and I am not happy because they have said that there want to let people die and I have been informed that there must die and there are to blame and leave people who need support with nothing please help it is urgent number 0114 2960252

What a joke...phone at 7.45am Saturday morning No heating.. No hot water.. Because its summer you can do without phone back Monday.

I recently contacted a local Councillor with regard to issues surrounding the green bin service in Sheffield (previous Veolia review refers) and I have to say the councillors response was polite and prompt.
However the question was did the complaint get resolved.
After numerous e mails, and a lengthy response from the councils refuse Dept I have to say NO.
Sadly this was a recycling issue, which is very much prevelant in this day and age.
The council it appears sub contracts the green bin service to Veolia who actually charge a fee. The same company also empty the Household black bin, and the recycling blue and brown bins, and I presume this cost is incorporated within the council tax, which during the past couple of years has gone up by I believe an average of 5% per annum.
In a nutshell the response in the end from the council was the green bin service is run by Veolia, and although it is not perfect they hoped that by constituents complaining the service could be improved.
Unbelievable😳 I only wanted the bin to be emptied in time, considering the charge. This was a complete fobb off.
Ive given a 3 star view in respect of the councillors assistance.
The actual City Council response is 1 star at best.
I come from a generation that went out, and did, and not from a generation that seems to sit round a table and read.
From my view there is a lack of accountability to the people the council serve.

The council has repeatedly shown their contempt for the people they represent. The details of their contract with the private company Amey for street maintenance is not available to the public, and it appears most councillors are unaware of its contents. Thousands of mature healthy trees are being destroyed purely because it is cheaper than maintaining them. They have employed inappropriate law enforcement by arresting residents for protesting on their own land, but arrogantly ignored laws protecting wildlife such as the bat population. They have now taken out a court injunction to make peaceful protest in a public space illegal.

Terrible, the council continue to persue their dubious policy in relation to their contract with Amey to fell healthy, much-loved trees, ignoring the strength and feeling of public opinion who will almost certainly vote current leaders out in the next election. Using shock tactics to drag residents out of bed at 4 or 5am in the morning in order to do so, and seriously contemplating felling healthy trees planted as a living memorial to local boys who gave their lives in WW1 is utterly shameful and disgraceful.
