⭐ Sky Bet – extremely poor treatment of a customer

I am absolutely disgusted and extremely disappointed with the way Sky Bet have handled the closure of my account.

My son accessed my Sky Bet account using login details that I had written down in a notebook and placed bets without my knowledge or permission. I openly admit that I made a mistake by not keeping my login details secure enough, and I have never tried to hide or deny that.

What I find completely unacceptable is Sky Bet’s refusal to properly listen to the circumstances.

I have explained clearly what happened. I have accepted responsibility for my part in allowing my login details to be accessible, and I have made it clear that I would take every necessary step to ensure it could never happen again.

But despite this, I feel as though I have been completely ignored. There appears to be no willingness whatsoever to consider the circumstances or treat the situation on its individual merits. It feels like a decision has simply been made and Sky Bet have no interest in hearing what I have to say.

I am not asking Sky Bet to ignore their rules. I am asking them to show some common sense and fairness when considering what actually happened.

There is a significant difference between deliberately allowing somebody else to use your betting account and finding out afterwards that your own son has accessed your login details without your knowledge.

What has really annoyed me is the complete lack of empathy and the feeling that I am talking to a brick wall. After explaining everything honestly, I expected at the very least for somebody to properly review the circumstances and give me a meaningful response.

Instead, I have been left feeling that Sky Bet simply don’t care about listening to their customers once they have made a decision.

I accept my mistake. What I don’t accept is being completely dismissed without the circumstances being properly considered.

Sky Bet should remember that there is a real person behind every account and every decision they make can have a significant impact on their customers.

Extremely poor customer service. Extremely disappointing. And, in my opinion, an extremely unfair way to treat a customer who has been completely honest about what happened.

A quick and direct response; a friendly approach. Better customer service than the others.

Top quality for the alternated system the service was great at helping me solve and sort out my issues thank you for your help

The agent was so polite and understanding and even though I initially had the hump she put me at my ease and made me feel she was really trying to help.

Time and again they seem to just cheat me out of bets that clearly went my way.

I'm sick of it so I'll be cancelling my account and going elsewhere. A number of people warned me about them when I set the account up but I couldn't believe a company like Sky would operate like that.... I was very wrong.

Avoid this lot like the plague.

Pavan helped me a lot to retrieve my account within few minutes.He was patient and explained everything to me.

Placed a bet shown on site. It showed my team winning and in my active bets it came up as winning at FT showing my team I chose had won 3-0 then minutes later it was shown as Lost on settled bets still showing the team I bet on as having won 3-0. I contacted support 5 times and was given lots of nonsense and denied a refund of my betting stake which was a significant amount. I would thoroughly advise people to stay away from this corrupt betting website. I have proof also of screenshot and many screen recording showing proof and also the interactions with advisors on the support chat where I was lied to and had other advisors extremely unprofessional acting childish. Very very bad experience here after leaving my previous betting site and joining Sky Bet recently and realising they are 100% the worst betting company I've ever experienced in 20 years of being an adult gambler. I wish I could attach all the proof in my screen shots and recordings. I'm absolutely disgusted with them and will never use them again. 100%

Not only is my account restricted to bets as low as £1 on promotion prices etc they are now reducing my cash out value almost immediately after placing a bet, even though the event is not due to start for several hours and the original price has not changed. The customer service agents are helpful but they simply say it is the trading team who decide things like that, however, you are unable to chat to them. I asked for an email address where I could send my query, they don't have one, you have to use the chat.... And around in circles you go. Basically they are very unscrupulous beware!

Have been with skybet for many many years. I was using them last night and every other day. Woke up this morning to withdraw my winnings/cash balance to be notified my account has been suspended without any notification what so ever. Ive sent in the required to documents and I still havent had any response from this and still cant access. This is an absolute shambles as sky bet have been my go to for betting for 10years. Please resolve this!!!!!

Had agent Sean help me today very helpful also thumbs up to sky bet for allowing commen sense and not just sticking to rules been with sky bet 10 years never use other bookmakers ther always fair and look after loyal customers

Worst game fairness on the internet/apps.
Would also like to know why it shows money loss/win (win?) and not the amount of spins you've had?
Guessing it's because if you seen you'd had over 100 spins without a bonus of any kind you'd know exactly what type of company you're dealing with.
Avoid at all costs if you want a fair game.
All the above points are possibly an understatement of how truly awful this company and it's approach to game fairness is.

I cannot but show my appreciation of a disputed horse racing bet that was explained in a professional and understanding manner by the agent online. This was settled with a wonderful gesture by the agent which more than made up for my original enquiry.

Suspended since 2023 – thousands of pounds still unpaid

My experience with Sky Bet has been extremely frustrating and is still ongoing.

My account was originally suspended in 2023. Since then, I have spent over 3 year repeatedly providing the same information and documents requested by Sky Bet. I have supplied my driver's licence, bank statements, proof of address, photo of my debit cards and former employers and clients.

On numerous occasions, Sky Bet has confirmed that they received the information. However, I have also been told later that they did not have information or documents that I had already submitted and, in some cases, had already been confirmed by email photos they were received.

I was never given a clear written explanation for why my account was suspended in the first place. Instead, I was repeatedly asked to provide the same information over and over again.

Eventually, after more than 2 year of back and forth, I received an email stating that Sky Bet had all the necessary information and that my account had been reopened. I then proceeded to withdraw some of my money.

Less than 24 hours later, my account was suspended again.

I am now being told it was a mistake and asked to provide the same information and documentation that I have already supplied multiple times. I have many thousands of pounds still unpaid, my account remains suspended, and Sky Bet has provided no timeline for when the current review will be completed or when I will receive the remainder of my funds.

The most concerning part is the contradiction: I have received confirmation that documents were received, yet I am later told that the same information cannot be found and must be submitted again.

I have tried to cooperate fully throughout this process, but after nearly three years of repeated requests, unexplained suspensions and unresolved withdrawals, my patience has run out.

I am now escalating this matter through gambling regulator complaints procedure and seeking further advice regarding the prolonged withholding of my funds and the handling of my personal information.

At this point, I simply want a clear explanation, a proper resolution, and access to my money.

My account is still suspended and my payout is still outstanding.

Absolutely shocking company, tried creating new account via their website to be given a registration error, during on chat with an agent for 1.5 hours she requested my details which she linked to a separate account (not mine) then confirmed they were wrong details no shit ITS NOT MY ACCOUNT, wrong email address & mobile phone number which a simple request & check of these when first on chat would have identified the error. Now I'm unable to create an account via their website due to Sky Bets error, currently waiting for update to my complaint, very poor service for a new customer DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as its clear accounts are also being compromised.
