Michael came today to refit and put some mirrored sliding doors in my bedroom. He also built a new fitted wardrobe together with mirrored sliding doors in my second bedroom. Michael arrived at the agreed time completing the whole job in a day. A great job.

I really liked the showroom set-up. I went to research what might suit us, to get further than brochure research. Plenty to see and lots of patient help from Leighton. He did onscreen design, which can show price change as you try out your ideas.
Once we went back to make our choices measuring and installation were very quick, really advancing and inspiring our bedroom project. Martin worked quietly to fit them, I could hear his measuring tape checking everything and within the day it was all finished and looks great. Doors swish effortlessly and we love our choice. Thank you everyone. Excellent service and quality.

Visited showroom impressed with what we saw and all explained to us. Ben arrived at agreed time and produced a detailed description of what we required. Date of installation agreed. Paul completed the installation speedily and to our complete satisfaction excellent job.

After a visit to the showroom & then a site visit from the surveyor. Our sliding wardrobe doors were fitted. The fitter did an excellent job & the doors look great & glide effortlessly & silently. Top job.

Sliderobes did a superb job in an awkward, sloped ceiling room. We are over the moon with the results, looks fabulous. No complaints whatsoever would highly recommend.

Have been trying to claim on the 10 year guarantee for months. The top rail was fitted into the plasterboard ceiling without and rawl plugs, and now the whole top section has come away from the ceiling. Spending Easter Monday now repairing this myself, after months of waiting on them replying to emails. Spoke to one person on phone, who promised to get it sorted - and have heard nothing, six weeks later. Avoid like the plague.

I wrote a review a while ago stating that I had a 10-year agreement with Sliderobes and wanted them to come back within this time and make a repair. I was ignored over the email by their sales based in Belfast! I wrote around 6/7 emails to them asking for help and not once did they come back. They only made an effort to email me back when I complained on here for everyone to read.
I have since had a wardrobe specialist in to take a look at the issue of my doors sliding open when I don't want them to and I have been informed that when they were initially put in, the bottom track wasn't flat so obviously wasn't put in properly. This company is not good. I would suggest that you do not use them.

We had Sliderobes fitted in our bedroom 2024. Only the doors were replaced but was pleased with the outcome so when we decided to replace the wardrobe doors in another bedroom we decided to again have Sliderobes. They came to measure up & discuss what we wanted, gave us a quote & we ordered there & then. We now have the doors fitted, it took the fitter just an hr from start to finish, were very pleased with them. We had to take off the old doors & get the room ready so there was nothing blocking their way. The opening just needed a bit of packing as it was not even then the frame & doors fitted.

Used to be a good company, but, alas, no longer. Sales process is still slick and professional. Installation is performed by inexperienced staff, leading to problems afterwards. Customer service team is shockingly bad. Emails and telephone calls are not returned. We probably sent about 50 emails/telephone calls, but it makes no difference - they don't get back to you. It's such a shame. Sliderobes was fantastic ten years ago.

What has happened to this fantastic company. I bought my first wardrobe from them more than 30 years ago, and have bought three or four since. Today, they do not answer calls, respond to emails when I try and order another one. Have they gone bust?

From start to Finish of the project, the professional manner personality and most of all the installation was completed to an excellent standard.

I don't often post reviews but on this occasion I am compelled to say that our experience with Sliderobes has been EXCEPTIONAL. From our initial home appointment regarding design Rebecca was excellent and professional with great advice and suggestions. On the lead up to installation the Team kept us informed and updated on every step. On the day of installation, Ross, the fitter arrived on time and he was very personable, friendly and professional. Over the 2 days of installation Ross was exceptional in his trade, amazingly tidy, fantastic workmanship and absolutely no disruption in our home. He is a true asset to this company and we cannot speak highly enough about him. A+ First Class Service.

Great Experience from Start to finish. Super design staff in the Belfast Store. Great installation by fitter, clean tidy and on time. Simply couldn't ask for anything better! Would highly reccomend Rebecca and the team in the Belfast store.

Really disappointing service and problems with installation not fixed for months.

Design service was good and the lady who called out had good ideas but it all went downhill from there.

Install booked for two days in November 24, but the installer, who seemed to be a sub-contractor, wanted to finish in a day. He did a long day in fairness and was busy all day but the quality suffered. By late afternoon he realised he didn’t have the tool required to finish fittings on the desk so someone would have to come back in any event and he said this would happen in a few days.

Next day when I was cleaning up I noticed a chip in the veneer on the top of the desk. I also subsequently noticed a problem with the strip of veneer at the front of the desk along with another problem with the wood panel for the plugs under the desk and many of the screw caps were wrong colour.

I sent photos and they said there would be a delay returning as they needed to make a new desk top. I had other works starting in early December at my house so from health & safety perspective I said they couldn’t come in to the house until that finished. They booked to come back 19th December 24 but that was cancelled. I was told on the phone the fitters were booked up for months and they’d see when they could come which I thought was poor customer service given they hadn’t finished the job and the faults were with their work.

Roll on to the new year (2025) and there was no contact so I contacted them and on second attempt got a response and arrangements were made for a fitter to come.

He arrived with some filler to fix the damage to the veneer and was not aware of my expectation that a new desk top was to be fitted. He also wasn’t aware of other issues I had raised in November and had provided photos of and therefore couldn’t fix the panel for the plugs which had been installed upside down. He checked other things and tightened doors on a cupboard which was an improvement. Talking to him I was confident things would be fixed but frustrated at the poor communication, particularly given he was from Cork and wasn’t in Dublin every day.

Return visit 6th March 25 cancelled with less that 24 hrs notice by email. No phone call to explain why and just a reference to a fitter coming on the 14th March which clearly meant I wasn’t getting the same person coming back which was really disappointing.

Now rescheduled for 14th March 25 so I wait to see the final outcome. Four months after the initial fitting.

My main mistake seems to have been paying in full on the fitting day as I had no leverage with them after that. I paid in good faith thinking that, for prices charged (which are at the higher end for this type of work), work would be carried out to a high standard and service would be good.

I don’t think it’s too much to expect that people might prioritise fixing the problems they have caused and show a bit of courtesy by communicating information about what will be done and to manage expectations. I will never use this company again and I’ve got a carpenter to do other work for me. Thankfully, I didn’t book more work with them initially or it could be worse !!!

There is too much to reasonably put here in detail so I will try to summarise:

- I implore you, please look elsewhere like Sharps, Hammonds, Wren or Howdens with a local fitter.

- It took just over 1 year to go from initial consultation to a finished install (that is still wrong and would require the whole wardrobe removing and trimming at this point to rectify. I've concluded I don't want any more hassle because it's wearing me out).

- Build quality is terrible. Materials feels cheap compared to competition. Thin wood (don't get me wrong, it's not Argos cheap).

- No less than 4 repair visits required due to negligence when fitting. *Deep breath*...Draws not aligned, draw fronts falling off, damage to panels, edging trim not applied, coloured in black with a Sharpee instead. Sliding doors binding. Draw carcass wrong from the factory requiring all runners to be re-drilled and mounted, excess glue on units and new carpet, hinged door not closing properly and finally...white adhesive tape used for black draw fronts on a black chest of draws which sticks out like a sore thumb.

- Communication poor, slow responses, no return to calls, the right person never being in the office and not being told of repair visits until they arrive on my door step.

- The complaints procedure on their website does not work. It goes to an email that no one monitors and my local branch were not even aware of.

- For the money I paid, I am very disappointed. The product is now at a point where I can accept it but if I could do it all over again I would select a different provider.

On a positive note, the fitters were polite.

The company keep telling people they will investigate further but that is the last you hear from them.!!

Having rated sliderobes installations highly I now regret having to warn potential customers that their after care is non existent. For more than six months I have been trying to get two minor adjustments to a large wardrobe I had installed last March. I have telephoned, emailed, sent letters to their UK offices and Dublin HQ with absolutely zilch result. I have given up now but recommend you dont use them.

I used Sliderobes Belfast - Rebecca made the process really easy and the follow up customer service and communication with Lee was great. I'm so happy with the workmanship and the fitters left the place clean and tidy. I didn't catch their names but the main installer really sounded like he was taking his time to teach and explain things to his coworker, I just thought it was really nice. The customer experience was great from start to finish.

Getting Sliderobes to examine and replace old units was a pleasant experience and hassle-free. Having called out to examine old units we agreed to replace. Choosing a design was easy, with the range of options and the agent created a design very quickly and let me see what the finished product would look like. Removal of the old unit was arranged an d a date for the new one agreed.
On the day, the installer did a great job - was very neat and tidy, cleaning up after - I think it was cleaner than when he arrived!
