Frustrating customer experience

On the reverse side of my on-line ( log into account ) paperless invoice there is a sentence which reads a upcoming $5.00 service increase can be offset by switching to Debit Card from Credit Card.
SORRY but I do not log-in and read the Back of my paperless invoice each month . I Auto-pay by Credit Card and move on. My monthly went up $5.00. for this reason. A Sparklight E-mail explaining my options could have been used. I get a lot of Advertising E-mails so I know they are used.
It was difficult to connect by phone with a Real Person in Bookkeeping .

The internet always has issues…

The internet always has issues sometimes it's down for 10-20 minutes sometimes days. They say they will keep you updated but all they do is send a text every few hours saying the internet is still down. I already know that because my internet isn't working. Tell me what's wrong and when it will be fixed thats an update also let me know if you do eventually get it fixed incase I need to reset something on my equipment. Get your head out of you ass do your job and provide the service I pay for.

We have not had a business phone for…

We have not had a business phone for two days here in Longview, Tx. We contacted No spark light and were told that only AT&T customers were unable to connect to No spark light. Maybe they should sell out to a better service provider , one that has a working system. DO NOT USE SPARKLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this isn’t going to change…

I know this isn’t going to change things but I have to get it off my chest. In the two years that I have had Sparklight my bill has increased $25/month and is about to increase another $5/month. No change in services just increases. I am fed up with them and even there isnt much of an alternative there is some and I am looking for that way out.

Caution Buyer Beware

Moving due to health issues.My new apt complex only allows 1 internet service on the property. I given a girls name to call for service. She refer me Michael in Az.I think he said, he told the small plan would $39.00 a month. he agreed to start the service on April 30th. Today I got email saying I was 2 months past due.Phone call was 800#, by some girl, how sound like she the in Far East. I had to ask to say that again. She wasted appox 20 min. Michael $39 month was $49 month plus tax. He told me when I ask to start the service when I moved into the new apt. April 30th. My service put in on the dates he called me tp answer my questions. April I had two internet accounts. One thing I learned in my 78 years, is dishonest people come i every form of life. I asked for the contract, they refuse to send me a copy of the order. I'm refuse to laid down. I think this company needs to be sued in a Class Action lawsuit...How many customer have they cheated with their shady business, fast talking work from home order takers, (they not Saleman) I remain P O

Hung on by Sean today as I requested paper billing for about the fourth time from them. Sparklight has shifted me to paperless billing for my business and I have requested paper billing for accounting payments. Sparklight can hassle you when you do not pay them since you never got the bill you requested but other than that they are about useless. Their service is ok at best as it often goes out. Sparklight is HORRIBLE so find another service if you can.

This company's online bill pay system…

This company's online bill pay system seems inefficient. Lengthy wait times and a cumbersome auto-pay setup process create a frustrating user experience. Additionally, the required pre-payment messages are repetitive and could be streamlined.

If a suitable alternative internet service provider were available in my area, I would strongly consider switching.

I over paid my cable bill during the…

I over paid my cable bill during the hour of death of my husband. I was charged $30.00 for insufficient funds. The bill was $78.
53. I entered $785.33. I was told that I would definitely be reimbursed by March 5, 2024.The would deduct the original amount of the payment. I called on March 6, 2024 for an update and was told that the request had never been made..I was also told that it would take 4-6 weeks to get my money. It only took 1 minute to deduct my money and I need my money ASAP

We were cheated! So basically we have been an Internet…

So basically we have been an Internet customer for a little over a year, paying for unlimited data when they attempted to scam us with a thirty dollar overage fee. When we called them out, they removed the charge and then claimed to add us to unlimited for the same price as always. So simply put...did we pay for a highspeed service we didn't get for a year or did they try to pull a fast one? Either way it is shady.

Mob Behavior

Sparklight is dishonest, condescending and enjoys a utility monopoly. They do dis-service to customers by boasting of LIGHTNING FAST SPEED 1GB speed but but fail to deliver. Countless measurements for the past six months of upload and download speeds via various metrics at various times of the day have yielded averages less than half of their speed assertions (1GB). Why should customers pay for such malfunction and failure to deliver? I had to snail mail a letter in order to receive any attention. Specifically, it is difficult to impossible to spend less for services - only more. Certainly, and by obvious design, Sparklight's website does not have a link to decrease a service plan, nor are there ways to communicate via email. The only consumer choices are limited by their web designers. Behavior such as this – Sparklight's belief that the customer will soon be exhausted and just keep current services -is abhorrent and, sadly remains endemic within service monopolies such as Sparklight, who experience little or no competition. Customers feel locked in with e-mail addresses as well. I changed from 1GB to 600 MB speeds and have experienced only a lower monthly bill. When it comes to internet service, we are sodden compared to Japan and Europe. Sparklight is a contributor to the third-world image we so hate to tolerate in the USA.

Not honest with their customers

Last night I was tricked into purchasing a 'speed increase' but was not told that my modem would not support the faster speed. Now I have even slower speeds than I did before. Tech support says I need a new modem, but they can't help. They transferred me to Customer Service who let the chat go dead and now they're not answering the phone or chat. Monday I will setup Century Link or Verizon and be done with Sporklight

My service was cut off without notice

My service was cut off without notice. When I called them it turned out they went to paperless billing without notifying me so I didn't get a bill and wasn't aware of the payment needed. Trying to iron this out on the phone was a nightmare. Nothing but lies, excuses and poor customer service.

Derrick Wickware came out and took care of the problem we were having. He was very thorough and very nice. Would recommend Derrick to anyone who is having issues with their internet.

Constant Outages

For the past year we have at least one internet outage every 2 months. It’s completely unacceptable to pay a high price of $95/month for Wi-Fi and have an outage at minimum once every 2 months. They also will not reimburse or discount anything despite the many issues we’ve experienced with our internet coverage.

I work from home, making the internet outages a huge detriment to my livelihood. Having to explain to my employer that my internet is out as frequently as I do has made me look unreliable. That is not the case at all, as I am a hard worker who puts in over 8hrs/day, yet my internet issues make me look differently. This is one of the most expensive internets you can find, with the least reliability.

Run And go else where

I have had many internet companies over the years and i HAD to get this one when i moved to OK as the choice was them or ATT and at this point i rather have ATT. This is the worst company i have ever dealt with. At this point as a twitch stream they owe me money. There service is such garbage my messages take minutes to send or don't send at all. They told me its a main line and refuse to fix it. Do not get internet from this company!

Formerly known as Newwave

Formerly known as Newwave. Worst provider company I had since the advent of the Internet. Always outages. When I terminated in 2020 they promised things and regardless of their promise they tried to charge me. Their store was closed due to "covid". So I had to ship the modem back. They promised to pay for the ship fees. They did not! So I withheld the last payment and asked them to subtract the ship fees. They didn't and even sent it to a collection agency. STAY AWAY from these incompetent crooked scammers!
