Ordered 2 tanks through 3rd party , after ‘sketchy’ response over 2 months plus , I emailed Telford copper and stainless cylinders directly and came across Sean Reynolds who answered all my queries within minutes, could not of asked for a better service, thank you so much Sean

Tornado Stainless was bought to replace a 21-year-old copper cylinder; it has lasted 4 years to the day, leaked into the jacket then leaked through the ceiling. The plumber tells me terrible firm with a terrible product. Too late, but it might not be for you. Don't buy

2 year old Stainless Steel water tank leaking. 1400 worth. Tellford wont stand over it. Brain dead customer service with genius suggestion that the best advice she could offer us was for us to replace the tank. She must have spent the day thinking of that suggestion. Awful company. No word. No warranty. Many reviews like this on the web. Greedy unprofessionals

Excellent service! Contacted this company about a problem with my Solar Tempest Cylinder (10 years old). An engineer arrived the next day at the arranged time and did the necessary work. All staff were efficient, friendly and kept me informed by text and email. Would highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs!

Bought a heat pump/cylinder package from them but when the heat pump did not work correctly after 10 weeks without being able to get an engineer on site I rejected the heat pump but they point blank refused to take it back despite getting solicitors involved. Ended up purchasing a Vaillant heat pump which works perfectly.

I refused the visit because you only tried to arrange a visit AFTER you received letters from my solicitor rejecting the goods. Just look at your Trustpilot reviews... 73% are 1 star. Says it all doesn't it.

Found attitude poor .
I failed to register the warranty online and despite being within 12 months of installation attitude was completely dismissive and disinterested.

Gave a pretty poor response to the issue of a chemical smell emitting from their cylinder in the airing cupboard.

I have never had this issue in any other home I've lived in.

I had a new 1200 x 450 stainless steel indirect vented hot water cylinder fitted 6 months ago. It was supposed to have been guaranteed for 20 years. All was well until it started leaking below the immersion pocket at the top. It seems to be coming from a welded joint at the bottom.

We’re trying to soak up leaking water with towels but fighting a losing battle.

We are an elderly couple. What do we do to make a claim under the guarantee? We need this fixed quickly!

Just had new cylinder and heat pump all supplied by Telford. Everything turned up on time and is all working perfectly

fitted new unvented tempest in 2016. that failed at the bottom in 2020.
Telford refused to provide any warranty assistance!!!

in order to save changing pipework I reluctantly purchased another Telford Tempest unvented and fitted that in August 2020.
Today, that cylinder has also failed somewhere inside the body/at and/or around where the hot water draw off threaded fitting is located on top of the tank.

Utter rubbish cylinders with very little to zero customer support!

Our fitter was fitting 170 l tank while installing our system and he couldn't fill to capacity as one of the fittings is leaking and thats straight out the box been without hot water and heating for 3 days now and its not the best time of year either, not good .i get the impression mass produced in china only way to explain why there considerably cheaper than their competitors ,not a good start !!!

My brand new Telford Tornado boiler broke down after two and half years and they refused to honour the warrantee. On top of that, they were very rude - probably because they are used to annoying people when they refuse to stand by their products.

Had a Telford Tempest fitted 2010, replaced under warranty after a fight in 2016. 2020 it's gone again. In addition I've had tp replace the expansion vessel more than once. System is serviced, softener and de scaler fitted I cannot do more. Fortunately its in the garage so didn't damage the house during it's multiple failures.
These tanks have cost a fortune in plumbers bills and I would never under any circumstances have a Telford product in my house again.

Had a unvented cylinder installed in 2014, now in 2020 I need a new cylinder, I have water leaking through the insulation so I’m assuming a weld has gone! Telford will not uphold there guarantee due to it not being serviced! Maybe that’s my fault but I have looked and cannot find a manufacturer that has nearly as many complaints about leaking cylinders as these guys, add mine to the list

Had a failed cylinder from a different manufacturer and therefore approached Telford for a quote and specification and their attitude was arrogant and self-satisfied - they slammed the telephone down on me, so rude and disinterested - I wouldn't touch this company ever again!

Bought a 200L Telford Tornado unvented cylinder in 2010 for a first floor flat.

In 2013 the pressure expansion vessel developed a split allowing water to spill out of the top through the floor into the shop below damaging stock. Paid Telford Cylinders £175 to fix even tho there's supposed to be a 10 year warranty

In 2020 during the Corona Virus pandemic water started leaking out of the bottom of the cylinder into the shop below. Telford Stainless Products were unable to allocate an engineer for 2 months.

Telford claim that unless you have an annual inspection you void their warranty for which they charge £90 pa which means it's cheaper to throw the cylinder away after 7 years. I suspect Telford have ongoing quality issues with their cylinders which explains why the reviews are not glowing and there's a 2 month wait to fix things when they go wrong. 200 litres of hot water can do a lot of damage to a ceiling and that's ignoring the dangers of mixing water with light fittings

I am now looking at having to spend £1,200 on a replacement cylinder after just 10 years. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on

No problems at all.
We have fitted hundreds of their products and have had very few problems
Any problems were dealt with quickly without any issues.
Technical support is good
No complaints here.

Sold foulty cylinder what cause damage to customer property .Dont pay for repair and replace foulty parts.
Poor quality service .

I have a Telford stainless unvented hot water cylinder, which (supposedly) comes with a lifetime guarantee. The cylinder burst (presumably poor workmanship) and they refused to honour their guarantee.

Unhelpful technical department - they refused to discuss it with me once they realised it was a fault with the cylinder itself and not a problem with the expansion vessel. I was told to go to a small claims court if I wanted to take it further!

I will not be dealing with this company again, and I suggest other people should think twice as well!
