A great introduction to the coaching academy for me

I love The Coaching Academy! I was first introduced to them many years ago, and was so inspired, that I became a business coach and trainer. I have done DISC training with The Coaching Academy, and I use their DISC products, such as the personality assessments and products for workshops. I'm really pleased with the cards as I will use them for games, making the learning more fun and memorable. I recommend The Coaching Academy to anyone who is interested in coaching and personal development.

Kristi made the 3 evenings easy to digest, engaging and enabled reflective and learning space while maintaining a fast pace. What I enjoy the most was the opportunity to experience the training more for myself as an individual than as a coach even, just learning more coaching techniques and thinking. It was brilliant. And Femi was amazing too- great support and deep insights.

Warning for Expansive, Entrepreneurial, and Non-Linear Thinkers: Do Not Waste Your Money
If your personality style is expressive, innovative, and non-conformist, do not ever join this academy. You will find yourself trapped in an exhausting frustration loop of being contained, audited, edited, and forced into a rigid, generic container.
What you are actually paying for behind the marketing is a file of workbooks and massive administrative box-ticking:
• Hollow Training Structure: The live training consists of someone simply reading from a workbook at 6:00 PM at night. Out of a 6-hour session, the amount of time allocated for actual peer interactions is a maximum of 15 to 25 minutes. The rest is completely passive. You are then expected to fill out the workbooks in your own time just to satisfy their files.The Pro Bono Exploitation Loop: You are forced to give up 54 hours of your own time for voluntary work to fit their "Grow Model."Zero Quality Control: There is absolutely no filter for the quality or commitment of individuals admitted into this program, apart from their ability to pay.Taxing Administrative Burden: Because of this lack of vetting, trying to find individuals who will reliably show up for you to fulfill your pro bono coaching objectives is extremely time-taxing. You waste endless energy chasing people who lack basic respect and timekeeping skills, absorbing all the systemic failure of the program yourself.Crucially, this program does not address the complexities of the world, the economy, highly complex workplaces, AI, or any other non-linear nuances when it comes to business. This is a shallow mimic of a university, but with nowhere near the standards, insights, or academic rigor.
Please, anyone who is extremely innovative and non-conformist, go to a reputable college or university instead. This is not it. If you value your individuality, your time, and your financial investment, look elsewhere. This program is built for rigid compliance, not true innovation, and it will leave you feeling completely erased.The positive aspect was a couple of the mentors l encountered, who are working in industrues, but considering the programme was £4,000 this can't be classed as a reasonable expence as these experiences were the only real value to me.Make sure you read the contract, because the programme was changed with out notice, leading to delays in practical assessments being marked. There is a 6 week wait between one assessment being market, and submitting another one . In my opinion this programme is unsuitable for non linear thinkers who have a tight deadline to complete it. Needless to say l accepted the "course" as a sunken cost , and dont value the orgsnisation to want a digital document stated l completed a "diploma".

Pleass proceed with great caution, read the contract throughly.lf you are looking for a folder of workbooks, and expansive Executive & corporate theory alone then this may be a plausible programme .The marketing and sales is around flexibility three years to complete. The reality is the system is rigid , and course there is no amendments or support for challenging client's outside of generate email replys.
After paying what is an expensive £4,000. It was then highlighted when l was on the course, that there is an additional £60 , to be paid to have practical assessment's marked. If the first two don't meet the grow module criteria. Note that the student will need to educate, indivduals on the grow model. My experience is, the grow module does not work for complex individuals, and l routinely adapted my coaching style, incorporating breathwork and trauma awarenes modalties, the certification from a univetsity . The criteria is 54 practice clients, which is voluntary work. With an underlining academy opinion, that this should be free. Again any professionals who already have a portfolio, of professional services for paid work . Value their professional work prior and current and are not , looking do to , volumes of free coaching . This is unlikely to be the programme for you.
This was not stated by the sales person. I have later discovered that diploma is not a legally protected word. As a degree holder2:1 by a uk univetsity. This is not a level 5 qualification, as stated in the portal. I am writting this review as the coaching industry has a controversial reputation. I believe the general public has a right to know this BEFORE they spend their money and invest their time.

Flexible learning that works around family and work commitments. Fellow students are so supportive and encouraging. The Coaching Academy facilitators are enthusiastic and really make the learning experience a positive exciting one.

I've had the most wonderful and transformative 9 months with The Coaching Academy, going from barely understanding the craft of coaching, to coming to end of the diploma ion Life Coaching!
It has been a challenging, supportive, insightful and enjoyable journey and I shall keep in close association with The Coaching Academy going forward, to continue my training with a company that has become family to me.
I have been trained by the most upbeat and experienced trainers and met the loveliest fellow students all along the way.
It's a real investment in yourself, just like coaching is a real investment in your self too. The course sets you up to a successful coach, with all the tried and tested tools, while encouraging you to be your authentic self.
The modules are interesting and the materials comprehensive; the recommended reading is so helpful and enhances the learning; it's a perfect blend of theory, practice and practical support and mentorship.
Like anything, you get out of it what you put in; but, the beauty of the diploma is its flexibility in timing and the accommodating times live training is put on. Assessor feedback is super helpful and timely and the camaraderie from fellow students is exceptional.

Polly Walker who ran this training was so knowledgeable on the subject. She made the sessions interesting and practical. I would recommend to anyone who want to develop their knowledge on conflict coaching.

Great sessions with a wonderful community of like minded people. Sarah led the sessions at a good pace and I was able to consolidate my learning having worked through the relevant module workbook ‘OW’.

The online course was very well thought out and presented. Looking forward to more!

This live training event was my first with The Coaching Academy so I was not sure what to expect. I have had experience of Zoom training with breakout rooms etc within my professional role.
This training far exceeded my expectations, the trainer was bright, bubbly and enthusiastic, she clearly knew her subject exceptionally well. She was also very effective at delivering training via Zoom. I personally felt included, despite not being able to identify how to “raise my hand” via my iPad.
The trainer positively acknowledged all of the verbal contributions and a good many of the written ones.
I was initially a little apprehensive about the interactions within the breakout rooms, but felt much more confident after her reassurances.
Everyone I interacted with in the breakout rooms was positive about their training experience. Some of whom were almost at the end of their training.
This first training has been a terrific confidence boost for me. I am now convinced that this is the right new direction for me and that I have made a good decision in choosing The Coaching Academy.

Amazing delivery as always. I really appreciate Sarah Bramall’s ingenuity and authenticity. Having now completed the OW training on the GROW model, I feel much more confident, competent, and ready to bring it into my coaching practice.

It was good and insightful. I do find the breaks short as it is hard to be on zoom for such a long time. But great learning!

The tutor was soooo good . Clear, consise, the flow of the training pace and interaction was perfect. Managing a large group of candidates - flawless . I can away with a tool box full and bursting with ideas and energy !

My journey with The Coaching Academy has been amazing. It’s been tough, it’s been challenging but I’ve learned so much and been inspired beyond I’d imagined. There are an abundance of materials, support when needed and I’m ready to take the next steps!
