I am not yet qualified as a coach - I am currently doing the life coaching diploma with The Coaching Academy (highly recommend!), and this course had a lot of content, some of which was a bit beyond me.
Having said that, it was great to be able to practice coaching with more experienced coaches, and to learn from them.
The tutor clearly knew her subject matter and gave great examples, I just need a bit more time to process it all! A great resource.

The Introduction to DISC module with Sharon Lawton was so interesting and engaging. Sharon is incredibly motivational and brought so much energy to the class. I learned so much about the different DISC styles and how understanding them can help us communicate and connect more effectively with others. It was such an enjoyable and insightful session. My experience with The Coaching Academy has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m genuinely delighted that I chose them for my coach training.

What I particularly valued was the depth and purpose of the qualification. It never felt like a course where you simply completed a series of modules and received a certificate at the end. There was a real arc to the training, with each stage building on the last and encouraging me to reflect, practise, learn and continually develop as a coach.

The combination of theory, practical coaching experience, mentoring, feedback and assessment challenged me in all the right ways. The marking and assessment process was thorough and rigorous, which made qualifying feel all the more meaningful. When I finally completed my portfolio and assessments, I genuinely felt that I had earned my qualification - and that mattered enormously to me.

I’ve learnt so much, not only about coaching techniques and frameworks, but about listening, asking better questions, giving people space to think and trusting the coaching process. Looking back at where I started and where I am now, I can really see how much I have developed.

Throughout my journey, I have also found the tutors, mentors and wider team supportive, knowledgeable and encouraging. There has always been a sense that they genuinely want their students to succeed while maintaining high professional standards.

Completing my qualification has given me the confidence and foundations to begin the next chapter of my own coaching career, and I’m looking forward to continuing my learning through further professional development.

It has been a substantial journey, but an incredibly worthwhile one. I finished feeling proud of what I had achieved, confident in the training I had received, and very pleased that I chose The Coaching Academy.

A great season positive, practical, relevant and engaging. It boosted my confidence as a trainer coach.

The only thing I’m not keen on is three consecutive nights is very tiring. Could the first one be longer and the third shorter perhaps?

This was my final online training with the Coaching Academy and I had definitely saved the best till last! Sarah's delivery was energised and engaging. The time literally flew by as we completed a range of practical activities which could easily be applied to our clients. Sarah was responsive throughout, she had a thorough understanding of her subject and also how it had landed with the audience. Well done Sarah, a masterclass in delivering an online training session with style.

Im really enjoying the course, it's a very well organised course with great teachers, just the right amount of theory v coaching practice, and not excessive work loads.

The course schedule fitted perfectly around my day job and family commitments. The instructor was very knowledgeable and had great control of timing and responding to questions effectively. There is a good mix of theory and practical content so you get to try it out and ask any follow up questions. The diversity and inclusion demonstrated throughout meant I was able to access the learning and would recommend it.

I really enjoyed the Accelerator Day programs and although I don’t plan to start a professional coaching business, these skills have been immensely valuable to me as a team leader. I hope to transition at some point to executive coaching and will certainly come back to TCA for that. I highly recommend the program as it is very structured and exhaustive in drilling the fundamentals on which you build as you gain real-life experience. Note - there is no hand-holding in this program, no reminders to complete - you need to understand the process and requirements, set your goals, build your timeline for completion, and the execution of your studies is up to you. One strong recommendation- complete your learning sheets the same day that you complete your module, practical or webinar - do not wait until later unless you have the memory of an elephant!

I learned so much while studying for my Life Coaching Diploma with The Coaching Academy. Everything was so well structured with an excellent mix of learning resources.
The various live learning modules were inspiring and the tutors were knowledgable, fun and engaging.
Overall, I cannot speak highly enough about my experience - it has set me up perfectly for my new career as a life coach. Thank you!

I absolutely loved this module- from reading to classroom it was positive, lively and made sense. I could see so many light-bulb moments in the group, enhanced empathy and curiosity. I really felt like we were all in it together and left the module feeling energised.

The coach for the topic - Kris was really good, she provided insights into practicality of the models. Also the content had different variety of models - which was very useful.

I have really valued my experience with The Coaching Academy. The training has given me much more than coaching models and theory — the live sessions, practical exercises, breakout discussions and opportunities to practise have helped me develop confidence in how I actually coach.
I particularly appreciate that the training continually brings the focus back to listening, rapport, powerful questioning, self-awareness and allowing the client to find their own answers rather than trying to fix things for them.
My final live session on DISC Personality Profiling was another excellent example of this. It gave me a practical way of understanding different behavioural and communication preferences and how I can adapt my coaching approach to the individual without putting people into boxes.
I am finishing the live training feeling far more aware of myself as a coach, where I still want to develop, and the kind of coach I want to become. The tutors have created a supportive learning environment while still encouraging us to challenge ourselves and grow.
It has been a meaningful and worthwhile learning experience, and I would recommend the programme to anyone who is serious about developing real coaching skills.

The training session was engaging. Use of video references provided realistic examples of the different personalities. The addition of break out rooms gave us an opportunity to interact with other participants.

The Coaching Academy are fantastic course providers. I have had a really positive experience and have felt very supported throughout my time with them. The coaches, supervisors and mentors are all brilliant and I have learned so much from their valuable feedback.
