Appalling- the gymnastics center hasn't even opened its doors yet, and I emailed 2 months prior to the opening date saying my daughter wouldn't be attending. They have since been trying to charge me £56 for a club that isn't even open yet!! And the email they sent me said first payment would be the 1st of August.
DO NOT SIGN UP TO THEM. clearly scammers.

scam company, they don't return calls once you sign up (prior to sign up they absolutely hound you)

Chris the account manager dealt with my query extremely quickly and it was resolved within a phone call. He was extremely friendly and helpful.

So, my daughter 7yrs old, has been going to The Gymnastics Academy in Xscape since September 2025, the price has increased twice in this time from £48 to £52, now £56.. it isn't worth this amount so with hardly any kids showing up, bored, not getting anything from this anymore, we've decided its time for something else.
We followed all their terms and conditions...We paid the months notice in advance, then they've taken the months fee again a week later. Repeatedly phoned, left messages, contacted on chat online, several emails for 11days, Dad has even turned up, spoke to someone who clearly doesn't care ... no refunds, no apology, an email on Friday stating they would reply in 48hrs.... nope nothing since.
I have had to cancel my card to make sure no future payments go out of my account.
There's so many chats on fb about this company. Absolute disgrace.

My daughter went for a trial session at castleford brand, no one welcomed her, no one even said hi or tried to acknowledge her.

She’s only 6!!!! She was so so excited to start gymnastics as a child would be she got her hopes really high for it.

They went in, she didn’t have a clue what she was doing wasn’t told to do anything just stood there looking terrified.

All parents with their eyes on her in the waiting room probably felt intimidating too.

Within 2 minutes she was crying wanting to come out… the coaches didn’t even acknowledge her until she was stood there for a good 2 mins crying.

When we walked in as parents we had no clue what we was doing either no one told us anything just had to guess!

Felt absolutely awful for my daughter my heart broke for her. Took her to Junction 32 outlet accross the road after to get her some sweets and play outside to cheer her up!

She’s scarred for life and never wants to try gymnastics again thanks to this awful experience!!!

Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, absolutely appalled and the staff didn’t seem to give two about it either even when I emailed!

If only it was possible to leave a zero. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever come across, and that says something. They are an absolute shambles. Taking extra payments as they see fit, having unrestricted access to your payment details, and doing everything they can to avoid or delay paying these back. They have an obvious policy of refusing and ignoring requests to leave, ignoring parents when giving them notice of their children leaving. They then continue to rack up debt on your account and chase you for fictional overdue payments. The only way I was able to stop further unauthorised payment was getting the bank to put a block on them and then changing my card details. Trying to contact them is like trying to contact the dead. I have been pulling my hair out since December and here we are in the middle of May and still it continues. I would urge anyone thinking about enrolling their children to give this company as wide a berth as possible. I cannot overstate how bad they are. When reading other ‘positive’ reviews, ask yourself, how many of these have tried to cancel membership, that’s when your problems really start!! You have been warned.

Kent was very helpful dealing with my refund and cancellation query which I have been trying to sort for the last 2 weeks. I have previously left voicemails and been told someone would call me back with no luck but Kent clarified everything within the hour and called back when he said he would. He did this without any hassle and stress for myself. Thanks

If I could give a ZERO star I would tick that but there's no option here. The company is full of lie where they trick you into theso called "free trail" or £1 trail, but you have to give them your card details. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM! Once they have your card details, they cut payments without your concent! I've been fighting to get my money back (which they took from my bank card without notifying me) and it's been more than 4 months now. They initially agreed to give me money but, only blackmailed me into taken my review off here then I will receive the refund. So I did but they just LIE! They never end up giving me money back. I'm in the process of appealing to higher authority now to try take them off the market! STOP GOING TO THEM, YOUR WILL REGRET! Such a pain to deal with these people. I wish I had never answered their selling call in the first place!

Great experience overall. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and supportive, and they do a good job helping students build both skills and confidence at their own pace. The classes are well-structured, and there’s a positive, encouraging atmosphere that makes training enjoyable. The facility is kept clean and organized, and communication about schedules and updates is clear. A real strength of this academy is how they balance discipline and technique with making classes fun and motivating for students.

Absolutely appalling customer service.
I signed my daughter up in person at her trial session, she is 4 years old. I stated I wanted her to attend a specific class, and was advised this had been done. I made the payments of £66 for the month and £44 for the insurance fee.
A week later, these payments were taken out of my bank again via direct debit. I called and requested a refund, was advised this can take 7-14 working days. Two days later, the amounts were taken again.
I called and emailed and it took 2 days for anyone to get back to me to resolve the matter.
In the meantime, when we turned up for the class they said my daughter had been put onto a Saturday class, not the one I asked for. They changed this for me on the day.
Then, my daughter at her second class got very upset and decided she didn’t want to continue. I spoke to a member of staff and she stated she had ‘no idea’ about the cancellation process and to ‘just look on the app’. When I advised I hadn’t been told about the app as I signed up in person, she again just told me to download it and look on there. The coach then came over and said to give it another week in case my daughter changed her mind.
My daughter was adamant she didn’t want to come back (no fault of the staff here they were lovely with her, it just wasn’t for her)
I emailed the company to cancel and was advised there’s a one month cancellation policy and another £66 would have to be taken before I could cancel. I emailed back to say nobody at any point had advised me of this and to cancel with immediate effect. This was ignored and the £66 taken anyway.
I have since requested to raise this as a formal complaint and have heard nothing back.
The staff are great with the kids but shocking with communication over policy and payments are handled badly also. Would not recommend.

Great classes, small groups.
Needed to pause a month and they made it easy. Any missed ones you can also get make up tokens.
Kent was really helpful on the phone.

Nory was great to help me decide what package is best for me. I'm happy with his service definitely helped alot. He covered everything.

I booked a £1 trial session for my daughter, but unfortunately the timing didn’t work out as childcare plans changed. That part is on me—but everything that followed was really disappointing.

I received repeated texts, emails, and phone calls saying the same things over and over, which felt excessive and quite pushy. One phone call in particular was uncomfortable, with a very persistent tone.

When I tried to cancel, I wasn’t refunded the £1 (which honestly wasn’t a big issue), but I was told the cancellation would only be processed after I left a positive Trustpilot review. When I said I’d do it later, I was told I wouldn’t receive cancellation confirmation until I had posted the review. That didn’t sit right at all.

Even after the cancellation was eventually processed, I then received another call the next day asking me to book again, followed by several more messages over the following days about the same trial session and invitations to join.

I can’t comment on the quality of the gymnastics sessions themselves, but based on my experience, the administration and communication were very poor. I wouldn’t use this company again.
