Avoid at all costs
Sent enquiry form. Bombarded with calls and texts. Signed up to a taster session, son didn't enjoy it, cancelled immediately. Session was poorly planned, poorly taught, staff didn't seem to be interested in any actual teaching. Still getting Bombarded with texts and messages. Avoid!!!!!

Absolutely shambolic company
Absolutely shambolic company, offer trial and taster sessions and then immediately try to deduct nearly £100 out of your account.
They spam call you from numerous mobile numbers once you have signed up.
Try to contact them via phone, email and social media and get no response, even better, is that if you leave a negative comment on their social media the pages admin remove it almost immediately.
Avoid this company at all costs. Trading standards and the ombudsman are aware, an investigation is currently underway.

Resolved my issue
I had a conversation with Chris from the gymnastics academy today, he was very helpful and sorted my issue. Only giving 4 starts as this has been an ongoing issue that I feel should have been sorted sooner but that’s not a reflection Chris - he was very helpful to me today.

Vile company
Worse choice ever sending my daughter to these. Kept taking money they wasn’t authorised to have. When I raised they stated it was tough. Eventaually raised with bank, they tried to charge me a charge back fee even though I had in black and white email from themselves that it was an error as I’d cancelled. Threatened to get me a ccj and take me to court.
I contacted citizens advice and trading standards who felt with this and then the case was dropped.
They have no complaints line! Just booking and finance line to demand money they feel like there owed.

We take concerns around billing and cancellations very seriously. Based on your comments, it sounds like there was an error which was later identified and addressed, and we apologise for the frustration caused while this was being resolved.

Shocking company booked a taster…
Shocking company booked a taster session for my little one for it to be cancelled as it was the school holidays they then went on to take £82.99 out of my bank over four different payments what is unauthorised I soon got my money back from my bank all further payments are now blocked but have since tried taking a payment for £36 this is all over a five days the money taken. I would not recommend this company to anyone stay clear.

Great potential, but owners need to implement change off the back of poor reviews
I signed up & paid the initial fee’s. My partner then took her for the first trial session and was asked to pay again on the day. A week down the line & I’ve had to email & call every day to try & get this refunded.
You can only speak to a call centre abroad.
I must say - Chris who was a team manager/account manager, was very kind & helpful today.
I’ve read the other reviews which are very concerning.
If this was my company I’d be reading these & implementing change immediately.

Does the company even exist? According to government website the gymnastics academy has been compulsory desolved on 31/03/26.
All Google information, reviews, places been removed, which happens if the company no longer exists.
Still their own website exists, and the classes are still going ahead 🤷

We believe you are referring to The Gymnastics Academy Limited, a separate company registered in Stratford-upon-Avon.
To be absolutely clear, we have no connection whatsoever with that company, its directors, or its operations, and we have never had anything to do with them.
We are an entirely independent organisation, and our business continues to run as normal with all classes proceeding as scheduled.
Any information regarding the dissolution of that unrelated company does not apply to us.

Lucky I never payed the £1 they tried to sell us after these reviews
I got completely bombarded with calls when i enquired for my 2 year old
I was getting 5+ calls a day up until nearly 10 pm
After a week of constant calls I told them i would not be letting my child join as they were almost harassing me to join
I still got constant phone calls for nearly a week despite telling them
Not once did the man ever fully explain what the class was about and how much was going to be just that I was to pay £1 for a trial class
Thankful I trusted my gut and didn’t join this class

My daughter went to a trial which cost £1, I explained that I didn’t want her to continue 24 hours later. Their policy is to let them know within 48 which I followed.
They then proceeded to take £44.99 and then a further £52 which is supposedly for insurance for the year. I questioned this and asked for a refund, yet nobody would answer the phone. I have left messages, emailed and comments on social media which have then been deleted. Before my daughter attended her trial I received over 10 phone calls to discuss the same thing which was off putting and annoying.
Due to not being able to get my money back I cancelled this with my bank as my child hadn’t attended any classes other than the trial. My bank refunded me and put a block on them taking any more. Then 3 weeks late they took another £44.99 and another £52 using I assume a different account as I had blocked the other with my bank. Even if my child was attending it’s only meant to be £44.99 per month, but they have added the £52 on again. I then called my bank and cancelled again and was refunded. Then today, just over a week later they have tried to take £44.99 again and a further £52. I have opted out, I have sent over 20 emails, I have tried to call, I have resorted to their social media pages and still they are trying to take money they are not legally allowed to take as I never entered a contract. It’s nothing but a scam and the reviews online especially the Google reviews confirm this. What a vile vile company. Avoid at all costs.

We attended this gymnastics academy for just under a year, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. There has been little to no progression in that time—if anything, my daughter has learned more at home by watching YouTube than she ever did in class.
The cleanliness of the facility is a real concern. It often feels dirty and poorly maintained, which isn’t acceptable for an environment where children are training.
While I do feel the staff try their best, the structure is worrying. Many of the sessions are run by under-18s who are reportedly paid very low wages and are expected to work without even basic breaks, including for a drink. More concerning is that there appears to be no qualified adult present during sessions—only parents—which raises serious safeguarding and insurance concerns. In addition, the staff do not appear to be properly qualified, which further raises questions about the safety and standard of coaching provided.
The academy is not registered with British Gymnastics and instead uses its own insurance— which you get shown no record of when asking them to evidence this, which is also significantly more expensive. This lack of proper affiliation only adds to the concerns about professionalism and standards.
On top of all this, there have been ongoing issues with payments. The academy has repeatedly attempted to take £300 from my bank account without justification. It became such a problem that I had to open a separate bank account just so these attempts would be declined multiple times a day.
Overall, I would not recommend this academy. The lack of progression, poor conditions, safeguarding concerns, unqualified staff, and ongoing payment issues make it a very frustrating and worrying experience.
