Today I had a 2 hour beginners lesson with Alan.
Had an amazing experience, it was so much fun and I will definitely continue with more lessons.
Alan so so patient with me and all the students in the group. He made it fun but also teaching you in such a good way.
Highly recommended. Thanks Alan for making it such a good first experience.

Had an amazing time. I hadnt boarded for 20 years and booked on to a level 4 course. Bit nervous but all staff were fantastic!! Lamar was a great instructor and slopes were clear. Group size was 4 people so good ratios. Hire kit was included and was of good quality. Cant ask for a better experience :)

Booked a 2-hour session in a small group of up to 6 people for my son (Absolute beginner). When we arrived his name was on the screen with a group of 5 people (great so far). The name of the teacher was not the person he was eventually with. Eventually they combined the groups and it was a group of 17 pupils shared among three instructors. So when it came to taking turns to ski, they had to wait for 16 (rather than 4-5 ) people in front each time. Therefore the experience was limited. Instructor did not check my son's equipment to ensure it was on properly, despite being asked.

My son just finished the level 2 lesson today. Very impressed! The instructor Miss Nicole B. was very patient and thorough. We would definitely recommend her!

I now have my confidence and love for snowboarding back thanks to the instructors at the snow centre.
Having learnt many years ago and then suffering a confidence set back I opted for some lessons which was the best idea.

My first lesson was with Nick L who really helped get my confidence back and offer advice in a supportive and friendly way. By the end of the lesson I was back to loving boarding and hoped some of my next lessons would be with Nick again.

My next lesson was with Reece and again I had a great lesson and could see just how far I was progressing even in 2 hours. I was able to start gaining confidence on the main slope and was grateful for the instruction and patience when it came to the button lift which was my fear. Also hearing about working in Canada and getting some great advice as I look for a move there was very helpful.

My latest lesson was with Graham H and by the end I felt confident on the button lift and the main slope and now able to now get some practice in on my own. I had a great lesson with Graham. I’m now looking forward to my first boarding holiday and appreciated been show how to use a ski lift and hearing about the resort we have picked.

I would definitely recommend the snow centre. The snow quality is much better to other indoor places I have been and I have found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offering gluten free meals is great as well.

Did an all day boarding lesson with Sam L who was absolutely phenomenal in his approach. He knows his skill very well and is able to share that in a incredibly calm and relaxed way. There's people twice his age who can't teach and establish the personal connection in the way that he did and it should be applauded. I'd recommend anybody booking a lesson asks for Sam L. personally.

The snow was as good as it always has been and the bar was like it was opened yesterday with it's presentation - it could just do with some charging ports for phone and laptops especially the tables that look out over the slope... Small detail!

Had an amazing time at The Snow Centre in a beginners class with 5 others. The session was led by Sam L, who was an excellent teacher, patient, calm and very encouraging.
The facilities are top notch and the lunch/drinks included in the package exceeded expectations.
I’ll definitely book another session with Sam.

Both a private lesson with Rebecca and a group lesson with Sam Lewis helped me reach up to a level 4 within 3 hours of ever skiing!

Before both of these sessions I had never skied before and now I feel so much more confident that I have got the basics and will be able to do Green and Blue runs when I go on my first ski trip.

Both instructors are so lovely and calmed my nerves immediately and made the experience so enjoyable, so I highly recommend both instructors to anyone at any stage who wants someone to calm their nerves and make skiing fun!

I can highly recommend the snow centre at Hemel for a day of fun or to improve your skills and confidence at skiing. My coach on the day was Nick. He asked me what I wanted to improve upon and he carefully observed my skiing and gave me loads of tips and things to practice. More importantly, he helped me to believe in my abilities and by the end of the afternoon, my confidence had changed dramatically as had my skillset. I will definitely be booking again.

Kieth was a fantastic instructor, his tutoring was very clear and to the point but better yet his upbeat attitude and passion was inspiring! Honestly, I would have given two stars but Kieth was just brilliant and really made my day.

Sadly, the slope was far too busy making it difficult to learn until the crowd thinned out after about an hour. A ski instructor from a different group even became hostile and condescending because my set lesson path dared go to the bottom of the slope where he was teaching.

Alright location as not too far from London. Great big car park with plenty of spaces but can get quite packed during peak hours. Anyways, I would like to say many thanks to our Instructor Lamar J who was friendly, approachable and gave great instructions/demonstration on how to improve my skills to bring back younger days of snow boarding about 15 years ago and gave us an amazing fun experience on the day. Would highly recommend coming here for weekday, weekend or anytime really if your interested in snowsports (my second visit bit pricey habit but worth it)

Sam Lewis, what a great instructor! First skiing lesson ever and came away feeling so much more confident and have already booked to come back to do level 3 as Sam managed to pass our group to level 2 on the first lesson!

Michelle was excellent and a massive help on my Level 2 lesson. Boosted my confidence by a country mile and made it fun as well.

I am a 60 year old lady, who had only had ski’s on her feet once before so took the plunge to have a lesson, do it now, don’t wait until you regret it!!. I had a private lesson with Andy, he gave me so much confidence & his expertise meant I skied from the top of the nursery slope!! I Really enjoyed the whole experience at The Snow Centre. Will be booking lesson 2.

5 stars. I had an excellent private ski session with Matt G. I hadn’t skied in over 10 years so was abit nervous to begin with, but he really took the time to help me with my technique, he was lovely to be with and I had a really good time and feel ready and confident for France in a couple of weeks! Thank you Matt!

Me and a friend are learning to snowboard and have passed our level 3 and love it here. Amazing instructors especially Owen and Bert both really friendly and made the lesson really fun. Their enthusiasm for the sport and knowledge really did make a difference. Definitely going back for the level 4.

The staff as a whole are amazing and really lovely. The cafe upstairs is warm and spacious to put your kit down and warm up. If you need to rent gear it is looked after and well kept.

Had a great first ever snow lesson with Andy yesterday evening. Did a group session with other beginners and was really great fun! Andy was patient and knowledgable giving us all confidence to progress through the lesson and even get on to doing some turns! Thanks Andy

Our instructor, Sam, despite a fairly large group managed the pace of the session brilliantly. This was no mean feat as the centre was busy that day, yet at no point did I feel we were being held up. We covered enough for me to feel confident enough to progress to level 3, which I aim to do in January.
As an experienced rugby coach, I like to observe different coaches' methodologies. The way Sam adapted his approach to the needs of each individual was really impressive!

I paid for a private lesson with Andrew Simister and it was money well spent! I'm a nervous skiier but Andy filled me with confidence and was really knowledgeable! I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Andy!
