Absolutely THE Worst Company EVER
Total Parking Solutions (TPS) is, without exaggeration, one of the most appalling businesses I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. It’s truly baffling that they are allowed to continue operating with such blatantly unethical and predatory practices.
I made a mistake - I parked at one of their car parks and received a fine for leaving the site on foot. Fair enough. I accepted the fine and paid the reduced amount the very next day.
End of story? Not even close.
Two weeks later, I received what turned out to be a duplicate fine for the exact same incident. I assumed it was just a clerical error or a follow-up letter. I’d paid, so I ignored it. Another two weeks passed, and I received a final demand—threatening escalation over a fine I had already settled.
I contacted TPS to explain. Instead of acknowledging their error, I was told I had to appeal. I did - but was informed that my appeal was submitted outside of their arbitrary 28-day window, and therefore “didn’t count.” They then demanded £120 and threatened to involve debt collectors.
I wrote to them again, spelling out clearly that this was a duplication on their part - not mine. Their response? They doubled down and told me the debt had already been passed to a collector.
At this point, I escalated the case to the British Parking Association (BPA), who thankfully agreed to investigate. A full month later, TPS finally wrote back to say they were “dropping all further action” as a so-called “gesture of goodwill.” A gesture? No. This was nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to save face after their own incompetence was exposed.
TPS’s conduct throughout was disgraceful - disorganised, heavy-handed, and completely lacking in accountability. They attempted to bully me into paying a second fine for a single mistake that I had already rectified. The stress, time, and energy wasted dealing with this nonsense was entirely their doing.
How many others have been tricked, intimidated, or worn down by this company’s tactics? How many just pay up out of fear or frustration? TPS thrives on administrative errors and technicalities - then hides behind robotic policies to avoid owning up to their mistakes.
Avoid this company at all costs. Their business model is based on coercion, not customer service - and the sooner regulators step in, the better.
SHAME ON YOU
I appealed on behalf of my husband who was taking his 88 year old mother, who is no longer able to walk any distance awaiting a knee replacement so needs a wheelchair, for her appointment at Weston General Hospital when the parking charge was issued. When he arrived at the hospital there were no marked parking spaces available so he had no choice but to park in an unmarked bay and had to leave his vehicle in order to push his mother in her wheelchair to get her to her appointment on time.
The appeal was unsuccessful and he paid £6 to park.
I paid for parking – and they still tried to fine me. Avoid at all costs.
I had a genuinely frustrating experience with Total Parking Solutions after visiting Wicksteed Park in February 2025. I paid for parking and even have the bank statement to prove it. Despite providing this evidence, they’ve insisted on issuing a fine – first £30, now threatening £80 – claiming I didn't pay.
Their so-called "appeals process" is a joke. They ignored the evidence, assumed user error without proof, and are now aggressively demanding payment for something I clearly already paid for. Judging by other reviews, this seems to be a pattern of behaviour.
It’s such a shame, because this experience has completely put me off ever returning to Wicksteed Park. I would expect better from a family attraction than to work with a parking company known for targeting genuine paying customers with automated fines.
On the 14/01/24 I parked at the U K s…
On the 14/01/24 I parked at the U K s worst unkempt car park only because the nice car park opposite me was full.Take a look at 25 Rochdale Road. Its a tip .I was the only car parked and after 25 minutes on a frozen January a/noon the decaying machine which marked the dump of a car park wouldn't take my payment.I tried phoning there number on numerous occasions as l was desperate to get out the cold and felt unwell ..My wife carried out bag and booked in at the Hampton Hilton next door.I was forced to give up on a malfunctioning machine on the dirtiest unkempt excuse for a car park .Thank goodness we got and paid for a space in the car park opposite..Total car parks instead of apologizing took me to court and l had to pay £286.02p .I told the kangaroo court judge and showed him my receipt for the opposite car park of my plight l even told him I had lung cancer and Total Car parks wouldn't cancel .The so called judge recorder asked me for other car park witnesses that couldn't pay and l said look at the photos lm the only mug in the car park .Obviously there is a malfunction .Iused this car park in desperation .Total car parks are Total Bollocks and all that's wrong with CC Js and out of you h courts.I am going to take up demonstrations against this shower of charlatans and cowboys.Hamish Howitt Blackpool
Shame on the companies and institutions that choose to associate with and use the services of such a company.
Let me start by stating clearly: I have a valid parking permit, and I pay for it monthly - yet I was still issued a £75 fine. A company focused solely on exploiting poor users and extracting as much money as possible from customers. I’m surprised that institutions like the University of Reading use the services of such a ruthlessly operating company. Even though the university has a portal where users' vehicles are registered – I have two cars registered there and use them alternately depending on the situation – I still received a fine for not displaying the red permit card. The card must have slid off the dashboard while driving. I don’t keep it permanently attached because I switch cars, and it’s simply not feasible. Besides, many users’ cards are faded from the sun and unreadable anyway. After submitting an appeal, I waited a month – A MONTH – for a response, which basically said, “Well, you should have had the card.” So why did I even bother registering my vehicles on the portal?
Can't respond to simple queries
I'm not even complaining about a parking fine, I tried to contact them twice over the last month about layout issues with one of their managed car parks and I've never received an acknowledgement of my email, or from their online queries from.
Fined for parking in B and Q Aylesbury…
Fined for parking in B and Q Aylesbury for going to a nearby bank before going into the store..cake back to find a fine on my car for £60.
Totally unreasonable and ruthless behaviour, # carpark cowboys
Poor experience parking at Halfords, High Wycombe
Free parking at Halfords in High Wycombe. What they omit to tell you is that if, in addition to shopping at Halfords, if you visit the Aldi which is less than 100 yards away you are at risk of £100 fine, even for 5 mins. I spoke to the car parking attendant that slapped the ticket on my windscreen and he said that he's (and I quote) "not allowed" to warn me about this. The appeals process is one-sided. I did get a reduction but even then they tried to overcharge me on that. Research is needed in dealing with them.
How can they improve? If they had provided a map of the permitted parking area + proper indication of boundaries of the car parking area then I wouldn't need to be here slagging them off. Also, they take far too long to respond to correspondence while the clock is ticking on the payment deadline. As a result of this experience I am never going to that car park again, and will avoid any car park operated by TPS.
Issued a 'Parking Charge' at Welsh…
Issued a 'Parking Charge' at Welsh National Pool when I had paid and have the receipt to prove it. PC notice issued on 19/02/25 didn't arrive until 28/02. 'Parking Charge' states you have 14 days to pay from issue of notice. So that leaves just 5 days of the 14 to pay. I wonder how many who have not kept their receipts are being ripped off by these pirates
TPS have just issued another parking…
TPS have just issued another parking charge notice to me. Unfortunately for them I always keep my receipts now. So if they don't pull out they can go as far as they wish as I have my tickets. I would recommend to anyone using the National Pool in Swansea or any parking area that is covered by TPS to keep their tickets. This company cannot be trusted.
Corrupt scammers.
I was legally parked in Halfords Chatham. I bought a battery and a socket set, and looked at the bikes for my granddaughter. I received notification of a fine. I produced my receipt. Get a letter saying they won’t fine me as a matter of GOODWILL! Goodwill would be to apologise for incorrectly fining me in the first place. SORRY I think is the word you were looking for, your dishonesty is appalling. I will be sending details to your head office, Halfords CEO and Medway Council. Shocking.
Total W÷ankers solution
W÷ankers, just like most of the parasitic showers that exist in this country with no regulations, from parking to unsigned bus routes to scum that entrap people for supposed littering, this country is a complete zhithole
They hire rouge parking agent at stores…
They hire rouge parking agent at stores where free parking for costumers and defraud costumer with parking charge notice first £60. When make an appeal the ombudsman service they make decision in their favor to pay £100 for parking charge despite proof of been store costumer.
Valid reasons for parking ignored
Our son working for a charity parked in New Cross Shopping centre. Despite inputting his VRM into the computer system to exempt it from charges he was sent a penalty notice for £60. Despite numerous phone calls and emails and being told the penalty notice would be on hold while it was investigated. Total parking solutions pass on the debt onto ZZPS a debt collection company. The amount owing now £170. Totally dishonest and illegal to say one thing and do another. The fine has been paid. Absolute crooks. We have legal insurance cover and will be taking this further.

Fully paid before I left and still want to sue me.
Fully paid before I left. I have credit card payment record. It becomes my fault when they cannot find my parking record. Scammer!!!
No way to further complaint. Worst parking company in the world.
Took a wheelchair bound nearly blind…
Took a wheelchair bound nearly blind elderly lady shopping in Dunelm store in Kirkcaldy. Blue badge showing on dashboard. Because I am also elderly, getting the wheelchair in and out of the car takes time. I use a stick for my disability, so pushing the wheelchair around is difficult and slow. Because she has difficulty in seeing, shopping in such a large store with a huge choices takes a lot more time than normal…. On receiving a parking ticket I appealed. It was refused. This is discrimination to say the least and no consideration was given.
Complete scammer
Complete scammer. They steal my bank information and charged me £24 for five minutes of parking. I tried to contact them so many times but they never responded. Avoid them at any cost!
