The renewal of a British passport is a tricky affair because it involves a photographic scan of the picture page of the old passport and the sending of a numerical photograph of the bearer in JPEG format to the passport office by E-mail. The UK Passports company provided help with both issues so that I could successfully renew my British passport.

Was worried at the beginning but turns out the it wasnt as hard as I thought, The responses were quick, directions were very clear.

An amazing service from A to Z. I am confident that all of the staff are great, but I had a certain Shaun who dealt with me. He was fantastic! The communication and instructions were very clear and made the process very easy. Renewing my passport worried me more than a little, but Shaun answered any questions that I had and put my mind at ease. A simple, speedy process that makes life easier for those living outside of the UK. I highly recommend this service, and especially Shaun if you are lucky enough to have him as your advisor.

The guidance, particularly regarding taking your own passport photo, was very helpful. I also appreciated the clear instructions, prompt responses to my queries and regular updates throughout the process. Excellent service!

Communication by email meant every step was clear and promptly dealt with by my consultant.

Smooth four week turnaround from initial application to delivery of new passport in Auckland. Emails promptly answered and tracking numbers supplied for tracking of couriers/delivery. Could not have been easier.

I was quite sceptical about using ukabroad,as I had never heard of this company before. I now know that they are totally trustworthy and offer a very easy and useful service, where each step of the way is explained in detail.I had a friendly consultant who kept me up to date and was quick to reply at all times.
My passport arrived safely and in a very short space of time.

Francois was so helpful and all instructions were absolutely clear especially for an elderly person like myself who is not very IT literate.

Edit: Since posting their response to my review, UKAbroad has tried to have it taken down by flagging it as "inappropriate or offensive".
Added to the persistent emails (funny how they suddenly became communicative when I didn't give them a 5-star review) that initially had a vaguely threatening tone until I pointed it out, I would not recommend anyone to go near them.

I took a punt to see if this company was a scam.
They charge a very large fee for doing very little. From my experience, the only “extra” service was arranging for the Courier to pick up my old passport. I live in NZ so this will have incurred some cost. But not NZ$500!
Every email I received was a pre-prepared “template” email containing whatever instructions they had for me, and my details where necessary.
Whenever I emailed my “agent” any query outside of the normal or expected, I never received a reply.
Was I dealing with a real person? Is this just an automated system set up to handle a repeat process? It all has a whiff of a scam.
To summarise, there is nothing UKAbroad does that you cannot do yourself on the UK Govt website.
In fact, I’d say their site even looks very similar to the Govt one and asks all the same questions. So it’s neither easier nor quicker. It just costs a lot of money and comes with the extra anxiety of wondering if you’ve been scammed.

From start to finish my assistant was amazing. He was very polite and very informative. We communicated with each step to get my British passport renewed. I have lived in the USA for 30 years and this was by far the best Passport Renewal experience I had. The whole process took less than 3 weeks. One very happy customer.

I was very surprised at how promptly Peter replied to every question I asked - he was so helpful - and my new passport arrived so quickly - I never thought it could come so quickly. Thank you very much Peter - and for answering my questions/queries.
