I recently had a bad experience with Wards estate agents in Broadstairs.
A member of staff was active in stopping me market my flat for sale as they were selling their flat which is in the same block.
A complaint was made to Wards but this was not dealt with professionally and they referred me to the Property Ombudsman, hoping I would not pursue the matter.
I made a complaint to the Property Ombudsman and this was upheld stating that both the staff member and the estate agents had acted inappropriately awarding compensation against the company.
The whole experience has been very frustrating and I would highly recommend potential vendors and buyers think twice before they instruct this unprofessional company.

Above and Beyond - Sam Turner Is an Absolute Credit to Wards
We first met Sam Turner around 9 years ago, when she was the agent who sold us our home, so it was quite lovely that our paths crossed again recently during our house buying and selling journey.
Sam has been absolutely incredible throughout. She has gone far beyond what was required or expected of her, stepping in to help wherever she could, even when it wasn’t necessarily her responsibility to do so. She is exceptionally kind, professional, knowledgeable and genuinely supportive, and you always feel that she actually cares about the people she is helping rather than simply doing a job.
Buying and selling a home can be incredibly stressful, and having someone like Sam involved makes such a difference. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we are enormously grateful for all the help, advice and reassurance she has given us.
Sam is an incredible person and an absolute credit to the Wards Kings Hill branch.
9 years after first meeting her, she is every bit as wonderful as we remembered.
We genuinely cannot thank her enough!!

OUTSTANDING YOUNG AGENT
Bought a Flat in Margate through The Cliftonville branch of Wards. The overall service was outstanding, particularly young Estate Agent Joe Barley who will go far. Nothing was too much trouble and he handled the difficult situations with considerable skill and diplomacy.

Wards of Welling
I have used Wards of Welling a couple of times now to sell houses, and have been hugely impressed with their professionalism each time. Communications and advice have been excellent, and they made the whole process much easier than it could have been.
A special mention to Louise and Alexis who were fantastic to deal with.

Not all heros wear capes. We were let down by another estate agent which left us in a vulnerable position with a family member with dementia. Great company
We just purchased our new house through wards, they’re easy to get hold of and keep you in the loop. Kim batchelor was a diamond! I was having a nightmare with my solicitor who was dreadful! Excellent experience at Kings Hill branch of Wards
Excellent experience with the Kings Hill branch in West Malling whilst buying a property from them, especially Be Chapman who went above and beyond with help and advice during the process and always kept in touch as well as being very knowledgable about the area.
I found all the staff but especially Be to be warm, welcoming, ready to answer any questions i had and totally professional through out which made for a smooth purchase of my property would highly recommend this branch.

Another satisfied customer
It has been a really good experience dealing with Billy, Keryn and other Wards staff with selling my flat. They are always pleased to see me when I walk down from the station. And once a sale had been agreed upon, Sally Bryant organised matters that I could not even think about, e.g. four sets of solicitors plus the clients also. Well done Sally.
