You can't get through on the chat or to speak to someone by phone, it lets Warner down, no customer service as far as admin is concerned.

Fun, friendly breaks for the elderly but standards slipping
We enjoy the music, dancing and meeting people, but cost-cutting measures have tarnished recent stays. Maintenance and cleaning has gone downhill. Food is hit and miss. They are in lovely locations. Warners spend millions on advertising, but need to up their game. Would only recommend for over 60's. Look to see what type of music is provided.
STAINED PILLOWS
Unfortunately our recent stay at Thoresby Hall was not good - on departure day I decided to strip the bed covers before checking out and found two very badly stained pillows without pillow protectors on them.
This was such a huge disappointment after having high expectations of our first stay at a ‘reserve’ hotel and sad to say we left feeling deflated rather than refreshed - the thought that we had slept on these for two nights was quite nauseating and very unhygienic
Warner Hotels should not show glam tv ads…
Warner Hotels should not show glam tv adverts anymore. It's obvious they have had a cost management company in to cost savings measures. And probably cost them more than the misery disappointment caused to the customers.
It's now gone cheap with little waiting service. You get your own tea and coffee from a coffee machine. You get your own breakfasts. And you get your own dinner. Some of the outdoor sports are now £10 . On Lounge quizes you now get a discount on 2 drinks if you win. And it's the only prize. The rooms are now cleaned with new towels once every 2 days. The snooker tables have been reclothed with the cheapest available. And the singer in residence has been singing the same songs in sequence and moves for the last 5 years. It's almost hilarious in Cheap Cut Corners to save money!
Housekeeping staff were helpful - admin & office staff always said computer says no!!
A relaxed holiday in a luxury hotel was what we expected. One guest is a wheelchair user, the other uses a walker within the hotel and a mobility scooter outdoors. The hotel is marketed as accessible - our experience was that it is not. Our holiday was a nightmare, a catalogue of disasters which was made far worse due to poor customer service by Reception staff.
Porters were not available when we arrived to assist with luggage.
A car was parked in our designated parking space which was near to our room. We were told to tell Reception staff to put a note on it and ask them to park elsewhere - the receptionist said she did not know how to do this!
The food was good - but buffet service at breakfast and the main course for an evening meal is difficult for guests with mobility issues. Maintaining my balance is a challenge without the added complication of carrying plates,
No back bacon is served at breakfast, only undercooked very fatty streaky bacon. Several guests expressed dissatisfaction about this.
Access to the fire pit in the walled garden was dangerous for wheelchair and mobility scooter users. There was an open-air theatre production there and the theatre company noticed the problems we experienced getting stuck in the gravel and needing assistance to move along. They were keen for it to be accessible to everyone but the terrain made it unsuitable for disabled guests.
During the interval, I left to go to the toilet. My mobility scooter toppled between the grass and pathway so I fell with the scooter falling on top of me. I was not badly hurt but very shaken and later suffered as a result of this accident.
We missed the performance by Sioned Terry that evening because she was not due to sing until after 10.00pm. By this time, my joints were too painful for me to sit comfortably and my husband was very tired.
On return to our room, I started to vomit violently. I don't think my sudden illness was related to the food consumed but more likely to be the result of shock and stress due to the accidental fall. I tried to call Reception twice between midnight and 1.00am but no one answered. There was no option to leave a message and all I could hear was music on the phone line.
I reported this to the duty manager in the morning. His response was that I should have had an answer as there was someone working. When I reported that I had suffered diarrhoea and vomiting, he said he would ensure that housekeeping staff were aware and would give our room an extra clean before other guests arrived as we were departing that day. He did not apologise or show compassion or sympathy.
It was an expensive holiday and a horrible experience due to poor customer service displayed by some members of staff.
Warning before you book your Warner…
Warning before you book your Warner holiday. You cannot book your meal times until you have paid your deposit on your holiday. We booked at the last moment and the only breakfast sitting time was 09:00 am well I am diabetic and I need something to eat before 09:00 am. If we had known this before booking we would have not booked. Have tried to change breakfast time but unfortunately fell on someone who doesn’t care. It will be my last trip to warners.
Everything was great except for 1 thing
Everything was great except for 1 thing. The bathroom. The toilet seat was loose and so too the toilet roll holder. Petty, you may think, but they were told to the cleaning staff on arrival, but nothing was done. Petty, yes but I didn't want to pick the toilet paper roll off the floor every time I used it. That was assuming i didn't fall off the loose seat and land on the floor with the toilet paper
Bembridge - Isle of wight
This was the worst experience of Warner's I've ever had (and I've been to a few), generally all good. I had upgraded as a special treat to my husband.
The cleanliness and housekeeping was absolutely disgusting. The maintenance of the room was terrible. I initially contacted customer care by phone who didn't seem interested. I then was cut off and unfortunately was unable to call back even though the phone continuously rang. There was no return call even though they had repeated my contact number to me. I emailed through again as I discussed with my husband and after a few days received a phone call. Apologising for the condition of our room and that things I had listed and the photos I had attached were, which they felt were unacceptable. I was immediately offered a £60 voucher off my next visit to any Warner's hotel. (This was already an option offered to everyone had we booked another break before we left this one) So in my opinion this was not a good will gesture.
Without listing numerous attempts to request an escalation of my complaint as there were many details not looked at - I had a return email saying it had been escalated and there was nothing more to be done and they would have no more correspondence with me. There was no further correspondence re any one else I could approach, there has also been no written apology as they said they would like to do or even a voucher (which I would not use on principle)
I have never been someone to complain but feel so incensed by this treatment and I do not want anyone else to suffer the same treatment which totally spoilt a birthday break.
Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed, we were really looking forward to our visit to Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales. However very little lived up to expectations, our accommodation was in a garden room which is about five minutes walk away from the main building. Whilst the room was comfortable it was far from being clean and the daily room service amounted to very little and did not include the first day of visit. By the way if you are expecting the fountains in the central pond you will be disappointed as these aren’t working and according to one of the gardeners not likely to be any time soon !!
The food leaves a lot to be desired, the waiters serve your starter and dessert but you are required to serve yourself for your main course from the hot plates and dishes similar to a motorway service station. The food on offer is not good quality and if you are not someone who likes to eat early you will be left with limited choice. We had booked to dine at 7.30pm. This doesn’t happen as everything is being cleared away by then and you are encouraged to dine early. The idea you are allocated a table for the duration of your stay is just another example of something which doesn’t happen, we had three table during our stay.
The hotel was very overcrowded and does not serve lunch in the dining room there is only one cafe on site which serves lunch and queues are a daily accurace
Overall we feel it was a very expensive mistake which goes without saying we will not be repeating.
Management take notice as reviews such as this won’t go unnoticed for long !!
Recent stay at Nidd Hall
Recently stayed at Nidd Hall.
We stayed for two nights in a Royale Room. Room was cleaner than on our last visit.
No milk in the fridge on this stay was a disappointment plus no room service on the first morning which now seems to be the new cut back of services!!!!! Not what you expect in a hotel of this standard!!
Trying to contact the hotel by phone to check availability of a particular room is now impossible as the number just rings out, so we ended up speaking to the main booking hub that basically know nothing about the hotel, its layout or specific room availability. Due to this we nearly didn’t bother booking with Warner!
Market Kitchen restaurant is now all self service with fewer staff clearing tables, OK for the fit and able but not so good for the elderly guests of which there are many!
Entertainment was much better than during our last stay with less ballroom dancing!!
Hotel main areas have had new carpeting fitted so it looks a lot fresher.
Grounds & gardens are always well kept at Nidd Hall and the leisure club is good.
A nice new addition was the lunchtime BBQ with live singer on the outside terrace, weather permitting.
Hotel location near Harrogate is the main reason we chose it but the standards have definitely lowered over the past 6 years.
Come on Warner up your game or else you will definitely lose your many repeat guests!
Bodelwyddan Castle & customer service
We stayed at Bodelwyddan Castle for 4 nights as part of the Costa Folk Festival. We had never stayed at a Warner Hotel before but have friends who have. Upon arrival all looked good. Impressive and interesting property with good facilities. After check-in we went to our room to find that the room had some issues. One of the radiators had been removed from the wall and was left on the floor. The wall where it was removed from was damaged and full of holes where the radiator was attached to. The door to the room was in poor repair and did not close properly. It was also last painted when the castle was built. I then discovered that despite the Warner WiFi promise we had no signal in our room. We then experienced the Warner customer service approach. We reported the issues of which no WiFi was the most important. We were assured that the “man” who could help would be on duty tomorrow. Tomorrow came but no “man” appeared. Went back to reception who seemed bemused that I expected WiFi in an old building. I explained that the lack of remedial action and poor customer service were unacceptable. I asked to speak to the manager - none appeared. Resigned to having no WiFi or help at the location I contacted “Customer Care”. This online service is designed to placate guests without actually doing anything. It did nothing other than confirming that Warner Hotels don’t give a stuff about guest complaints. I have now written to the CEO and await a response. Update: the ping pong on e-mail continues. No acknowledgement or apology for the issues and management avoiding any involvement. No response from the CEO.
Case now closed as Warner Hotels admit no liability even though management and staff have communicated that the service received was not the same as advertised. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 covers this issue however unless I engage with a legal process they will not budge. Customer service and management at all levels are disappointing.
A message from the General Manager -We…
Heythrop Park. A message from the General Manager -We do hope you have a relaxing and well deserved break! Well it certainly was relaxing as there was very few activities available now unless you paid an exorbitant fee.
The only activities we discovered was out side table tennis quite useless with the wind. Croquet. Bowling Green, or to be more precise a field of daisies, the surface was very bumpy, the bowls were out on the grass on Wednesday 17/6 and still out there on Monday 22/6.
I contacted Reception and asked for the grass to be cut and rolled as it was impossible to have a proper game of bowls, Needless to say it was still the same on Monday 22/6.
Checking on the internet it stated that there is a pool table, On enquiring at reception I was informed there was only a billiard table!
Market Kitchen Dining. The tables are placed the whole of 6 inches from the next table. Just ridiculous to be sat so close to someone while having a meal conversation goes out the window!
No weekly activities/events in the room. You now have to go down to Reception area to find an information screen to find what's on! My mobile phone would not pick up the app.
There are now no tissues in the bathroom! No little extras if you had a deluxe room. No Pitch and Put or Crazy Golf as at other Warners!
The Theatre on Thursday 18th. Two female singers on one after the other. The second one we had to come out and we were not alone as the volume was ridiculous! The same with the Sting act! No dance teams now! No Ballroom or Sequence Dancing!
On Friday evening we had to call Reception to turn off the air conditioning. My wife was on the phone 15 minutes before they answered and gave her the incorrect information, so had to call again this time no answer after 30 minutes so had to go down to Reception to complain The person said she had been busy on the desk. The Duty Manager came to turn it off!
She should have made a priority of the phone call and asked the people at the desk to wait!!
It could of been an emergency call for someone seriously ill. The lack of outdoor activities meant that most of our time was spent reading newspapers and sitting and walking around. It was more akin to care home than an holiday hotel!
Never again!
Early check in not available although we had paid.
We went to Sinah Warren and was told the night before we could not have early check in (which we had paid for) as the previous guests had late check out.
We were informed we would receive £30 back as the service would not be provided. I have contacted them on many occasions and were told the refund was in the pipeline. Nearly into week three and we still have not received the £30.
We recently turned up a the Corten site…
We recently turned up a the Corten site to what we were told was a luxury lodge with a sea view in reality was a very very poor run down butlins room from the seventies with a stained ripped mattress a 2 seater settee that had collapsed and full of stains the carpet was full of stains a dirty shower tray and the smell was unbearable. Paint flaking off every pice of wood and mould on the skirting
You would not have left your dog there it was absolutely disgusting and we could not believe they had the gall to even give us the keys to such a dump we had travelled nearly 3 hrs and was no way we could sleep in that flea pit so had to drive all the way home again, both of us having had a day off work as it was a Friday 2 night stay
Customer service isn’t available there isn’t any so if you have a problem be prepared to be very dissapointed
We have stayed at Heythrop which was a fantastic stay some years ago but now hearing of all the cost cutting the new company is doing everyone is saying everywhere has done dramatically down hill!
So if you are reading this thinking of staying at warners then think again go somewhere else !! You have been warned
Very limited disabled facilaties
This was our second stay at sinah warren so our review is based on.comparing tge two visits.
Food standards have dropped. The room was clean and spacious and the housekeeping staff are to be commended. There was a distinct lack of day time activities I counted 20 blue badge parking spaces and with a,substantial amount of mobility scooter users there was a disfunction jack of resource for disabled guests.
All the Front line staff went out of their way to make us welcome the administration staff did Not. We shall Not return for a third expierence
Denny & Dave.
The stay was good and food better than…
The stay was good and food better than expected.
However, a badly placed servers station spoiled our evening entertainment. And that of many others.
I have an image of offending screen
Easily rectified.
Hope its better than what we have experienced so far.
Haven't even been on the Warner break yet, but so far it has not been a good experience. The marketing campaign of £50 OFF if its a" first booking" is misleading and not true. It is actually proportionate to the amount of time booked. When I complained, I was told that it is in the Terms & Conditions. Who goes to check the t&cs if it specifically states that there is £50 off. No mention of "up to".
The app is also the worse myself and my friend have ever tried to use. It is so " user unfriendly" we have been working on the reservation element for dining for hours and still not sorted. Six of us have booked to celebrate our Golden Wedding, but its been so stressful, let's hope the actual break is better than what we have had to muddle our way through so far.
Superior room..very poor. Food ...very poor.
We stayed at Cricket St Thomas. It costs £650 to stay from 15.00 Friday to 10.00 Sunday. No room servicing. Bathroom - toilet seat did not fit and moved. Shower curtain across the bath actually dangerous to use. Windows rotting wood, broken hinge. Food extremely poor. This was our 6th Warner holiday Inc other resorts ..we will not be going back.
Disappointing Break
My partner and I recently enjoyed a bank holiday weekend break at Warner’s Runnymede to see Genesis Connected. The hotel is set in a beautiful location and is ideally situated for visiting Windsor, with a reasonably priced shuttle bus service available.
The hotel itself has a modern décor and still feels fresh and well maintained. However, we did notice that many of the chairs throughout the venue were quite low, and several guests appeared to struggle getting in and out of them.
While the Live Lounge Bar and Late Lounge were comfortably air conditioned, the restaurant areas were extremely warm. We particularly felt for the waiting staff, who appeared to be struggling in the heat throughout service.
Unfortunately, the main issue during our stay was with the air conditioning in our room. Despite reporting the problem several times, the issue remained unresolved for most of the weekend. Although it was repaired temporarily at one stage, it then caused the electrics in the room to fail. Once the electrics were restored, the air conditioning stopped working again. This made the room very uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep during the warm weather.
Overall, this experience has unfortunately left us reluctant to book another Warner break, particularly given the cost of the weekend and the fact that we are Platinum members. While we appreciated the gesture of a £50 voucher as an apology, we did not feel this adequately reflected the level of disruption to our stay.
Well done warners, how to lose friends…
Well done warners, how to lose friends and not influence, your policy of using qr code instead of printed entertainment guide is a slap in the face for your loyal older customers who do not want to embrace this gimmick I and my party of six will never again visit warners after 25 loyal years,I hop it comes to bite you on the bum sack the nerd who dreamt it up
Unfair, ludicrous Spa Membership…
I would like to know why one person purchasing Studley Castle Spa membership has to pay more than what each person pays if they are a couple?!
Two people would use double the towels etc, but they get the cheaper membership!!! Ludicrous!
