Unbelievably Hot inside !!!

Ongoing appalling service from Wickes: Mis-sold kitchen design, zero communication, and a hazardous home
We bought a kitchen through Wickes in March 2026 (Account #0452278091), and the entire experience has been an absolute nightmare. The professional design and customer service from Wickes have been completely unacceptable from start to finish.
Our designer, Shaysta (Tottenham store), sold us a completely unfeasible plan filled with severe measurement and design errors. The pull-out corner storage system doesn't have the required physical clearance to open, a massive dead wall gap was left behind our cabinetry, the induction hob cannot safely share clearance space over the undercounter oven, and two sets of drawers that don't fit beside oven (150mm too large) and in a large cabinet (not enough clearance). The layout was so botched we were forced to abandon many aspects, including our integrated appliances for an exposed fridge and still don't have a resolution to many of the issues. The installers themselves formally confirmed these massive design flaws to us in writing.
Wickes promised a full refund and pickup of the incorrect items if we ordered replacements. We did exactly that, but they have since completely abandoned us. We have sent 12 detailed emails and made numerous phone calls to representatives like Douglas, Ashleigh, and Calum King over the last several weeks, which have been zero follow up.
To make matters worse, our sitting room is still filled with piles of incorrectly measured cabinets, creating a trip hazard and making it different to properly clean the dust and spilled tile adhesive created during installation (especially problematic as I'm pregnant). Our entrance has also had a heavily overflowing project skip since 5th July. We have made many attempts to find solutions to these issues but have been ignored. We have now given Wickes a final 7-day deadline before taking formal legal action through the Small Claims Court and escalating to the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman and our finance provider, Novuna.
Avoid Wickes at all costs if you expect basic competence, safety or customer care.
