All credit goes to Dean who only joined two days ago and still learning the products. He took me to an experienced member of staff (female Eastern European) who said she could not understand what I wanted. Dean took me to the section and worked out exactly what I needed, even measured so I could buy the right amount. He will be an asset to this branch whereas the experienced staff needs training on customer care

Thomas communicated everything clearly, was quick and efficient and very polite. Measured up, and made a follow appointment all in good time.

Some Reasonably priced laminate was bought that was finished off with friendly service at the checkout from Tamia. She stood out by being helpful to me and every customer prior to us. Noticeable.

I have a home project I am working on and I needed advice before purchasing products. I have to give big shout out to Paul, the store manager at Waltham Cross. He was busy when I approached him, but he took the time to listen, ask me relevant questions to help me understand, what I needed and why it benefitted me in terms of quality of outcome and cost. I will recommend anyone to come to his store for quality of service and advice. To top it off he even had a smile on his face, especially for a Saturday morning. Thank you Paul!!

I would like to make a formal complaint about a store in Waltham Cross. Very arrogant service by Anna

I called the store because I was looking for a floor product that is unfortunately no longer in production. The website indicated that they had 11 packages in stock. To confirm this, I called the store, and the representative assured me that the items were available for pickup. Since I couldn’t buy or reserve them online, I decided to go to the store the evening before closing, only to discover that they had been out of stock for a long time.

Anna, who works in the warehouse, informed another Wickes employee that the last delivery had occurred in November 2025 and that there was nothing currently in stock. When she eventually acknowledged my presence, she simply stated that the item was out of stock. I attempted to explain that I had called to confirm availability and was told that the flooring was ready for pickup, but all she could say was, "I'm sorry." When I mentioned that I had called around 10:00 AM, she smiled and remarked that it was already evening and that the panels had been sold during the day. She conveniently overlooked the fact that she had just told her colleague that the items had been out of stock since November. It felt as though she was placing the blame on me for making a 15-mile trip for nothing. To add insult to injury, she rolled her eyes as I was leaving. Is this really how customer service should operate?

In my everyday work, I deal with companies that come to pick up large metal panels. If I were to tell them that an item was ready for collection and it turns out it wasn't, my manager would investigate why I made that mistake and ensure I was held accountable. A mere apology is not sufficient.

I’m not complaining solely because I was unable to purchase this floor; I’m more upset because no one bothered to check if it was in stock, showing a clear lack of concern for my visit. Anna's attitude was unprofessional.

On a positive note, today I called other Wickes stores and successfully found the product I was looking for. Before I went to collect it, the staff checked the stock and reserved it for me. The teams at Dunstable, Luton, Hampstead, and Letchworth demonstrated professionalism and concern that were sorely lacking at the Waltham Cross store.

Vanesa has been an excellent designer, patient with my ideas and design. She has gone out of her way to be helpful and explained everything clearly if I didn’t understand anything.

Had a lovely experience in Waltham cross today very helpful staff especially the manager at till Hanifah went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed.

I visited the store and was amazed by the friendly and helpful staff (Tamia) she helped me above and beyond with flooring which I purchased. Thank you so much with all the help she gave

I called store as I was of the opinion that a refund that was due to me was taking too long for HO to process, especially as I needed refund so that I could finish my Christmas shopping! I called store and was introduced to Hilmi; almost immediately he stepped in and resolved my complaint straight away. That’s what I believe to be 5 Star customer service. Thank you Hilmi!

We recently purchased our kitchen from Wickes Waltham Cross designed by Vanesa, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very beginning, Vanesa was incredibly helpful, patient, and supportive, guiding us through every stage of the process.

Our kitchen project came with several unexpected building challenges (none related to Wickes), yet Vanesa remained understanding, proactive, and reassuring throughout. She went above and beyond to help us find solutions, never once showing frustration or hesitation. I visited the Wickes Waltham Cross store with my wife to by a new kitchen for our flat. The service from Tom was nothing short of outstanding, right from the visit to our flat to plan the kitchen to advising on the design and also in the best pricing option when we then visited the store. After installation, Tom was happy to help with refunds on our unused items.
Tom has a friendly demeanour and likeable approach which made dealing with him a pleasure. I would be happy to recommend him to anyone looking to buy a kitchen.
