I would give this service zero stars if that were an option.
My primary language is Telugu, and I specifically selected and paid for a Telugu package. Unfortunately, most of the content being shown to me is Hindi or completely irrelevant to what I subscribed for. I paid nearly $100 expecting a proper Telugu entertainment package, and so far it feels like a complete waste of money.
The subscription was also advertised with Live TV, but I cannot find any clear Live TV option in the app. There is very little transparency about what is actually included in the package, yet customers are charged a premium price.
The app and subscription options are confusing, the Telugu content selection is disappointing, and the overall experience has been extremely frustrating. I expected much better from ZEE5, especially considering the amount they charge.
I would not recommend this subscription based on my experience.

One of the shit business and OOT platform

I first subscribed to the Zee 5 platform to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. That was 10 minutes before the final match. But after subscribing, not only did I not get live streaming, but the option of an upgrade plan kept coming up. In the excitement of watching the game, I also subscribed to the upgrade plans. Still, I did not get the streaming of the first half of the game. I am not a regular user of the Zee 5 platform. I took the upgrade plan by mistake. I have not used anything on this platform since the final. The basic plan was Rs 399 and the upgrade plan was Rs 400. I had sent lot of mails regarding this information along with contact details. Only for some of them I received an email saying the issue was resolved. They were sending templated msgs everytime. For one mail they replied the issue has been resolved. But it did not mention how the issue was resolved. Customer care support is extremely bad. Don't subscribe this ##@##&£ platform

⭐ 1 Star | Extremely Misleading and Disappointing

I subscribed to ZEE5 today because the plan clearly advertised 4K/UHD quality. My laptop is 4K/UHD compatible, so I had every reason to believe I would be able to stream in the quality being advertised.

Imagine my surprise when I started watching and the quality was stuck around 546p/560p and sometimes as low as 240p. I contacted customer support, and that’s when I was told that this is apparently the maximum quality available when streaming on a laptop.

So why is this limitation not clearly disclosed before someone pays for the subscription?

If 4K/UHD is advertised but laptop users are actually restricted to around 546p, that is incredibly misleading. This is not some minor technical limitation. It completely changes the value of the subscription for someone who primarily watches on a laptop.

I also don’t have a TV, and I cannot comfortably watch on my phone due to eye issues, so the laptop is my only practical option. Had ZEE5 clearly stated before purchase that laptop streaming would be capped at 546p/560p, I would never have subscribed.

I requested a refund almost immediately after subscribing, having watched less than an hour of content, but was told that they cannot refund me.

Honestly, this entire experience feels like a case of hiding an important limitation in the fine print while prominently advertising 4K/UHD. Customers deserve to know exactly what quality they are actually getting before they hand over their money.

I had already seen quite a few negative reviews about ZEE5 and should have listened to them. Unfortunately, I now understand where those reviews are coming from.

Very disappointed. Would not recommend subscribing if you intend to watch primarily on a laptop. ⭐

Scammers. Paying way too much to see ads.

I had an annual subscription costing 49.99 until October 2026. All the live channels stopped working, stating technical problems at the end of August.

It seems that the subscription model has changed and users are being held to ransom to pay either for individual channels for the same price as above for a 3-month subscription or double that for an annual subscription. In the end, I had to cancel my old subscription, thus losing one month's worth, and renew another annual subscription for all the channels, even though I only needed one live channel.

Magically, all the live channels (that I had already paid for and had an active subscription for and had now paid for twice) started working immediately. There seems to be no option for either online help or chat.

Their customer service is horrible. Especially Deo . When ask to speak to supervisor he refused. Many times there aren’t English subtitles

The only reason of compulsory and mandatory three continuous ads of 20 second each every 5-7-10 minutes while you watch the movie or series at ZEE5 subscription

Aside if you push play back or forward mandatory ad again comes in thus leaving the viewer with no option to exit & come back again play forward and stay tunes exactly to the same scene which you would like to watch it again
lastly due to FIFAWC26 subscription for 3 months was of Rs.800/ which is too too high and unrealistic

Z5 has charged me twice for the FIFA 2026 World cup subscription. I have been following up since 9th of July for the refund and have made zero progress so far. I have had live chats twice with their agents and sent umpteen emails. All I get is an automated response to my email with irrelevant content.
If you really care for your customers, please action my refund without any further delay.

The worst subscription I ever had!!!!

The most irritating & infuriating platform. Even after paying for watching the FIFA World Cup 2026, there streaming was really inconsistent & breaking in the middle several times. Such a shame!! I even checkd my Wi-Fi several times & it was working all good. It was just this fraud up Zee5 having inconsistent streaming. Shameee!! Frauds! Looters

It’s a shitty app. Constant buffering and crashing. I know zee’s tech team is filled with absolutely incompetent people. This is exactly what I had expected for Fifa WC 2026

Subscribed to watch the World Cup 2026, always unexpectedly facing video lag during a live telecast that i never ever experienced on other streaming sites. To me, this streaming site is among the worst of all i have experienced. And i think it's not worth a subscription.

I want to give this app 0.00% review bloody good we pay yearly or month subscription money and on speical day fifa World Cup eah u want us to pay 400rs to watch that match which is gonna stream live at ur Chanel already we are playing for month subscription upar se apko Or paise chayie to see live foot ball she is such a pathetic management and the Owne Of this channel I consider him as a garib and becahra of the year bloody opportunist of the Year

Cheap chintzy business.
It's nearly 24 hours after the Bronze medal Worldcup match between France and England was played. The replay still isn't loaded. They want you to watch one of their highlights, quick highlights or something else so the load is cheaper (not cost effective, it's not an accurate enough word) on their servers. You've taken the money for the subscription, why be so chintzy?

If you allow your marketing honcho's provenance to come into your User Experience, you'd come up with cheap words like 'Watchega', that cheapness obviously has to have a cascading effect. Disgusting!

I purchased a 3-month ZEE5 subscription, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. The maximum streaming quality is only 1080p, yet even with a high-speed internet connection, the app frequently drops to low quality. The video quality is inconsistent and makes watching anything frustrating.

What’s even worse is that I encountered advertisements in the middle of a movie despite having a paid subscription. That’s completely unacceptable. I paid for an ad-free premium experience, not interruptions.

Overall, the app offers poor performance, an unsatisfactory user experience, and fails to deliver the benefits promised with a subscription. I regret purchasing it and would not recommend ZEE5 unless these issues are fixed.

Not Worth app I ever seen in my life , after paying subscription still every 5mins there is an interruption with ads …. It’s really worth app to install .. Very disappointing
