I'm a 70 year old guitar player and I've been playing for over 50 years. I recently received a ZAD 80 CE. This instrument is beautifully crafted and sounds great. It sounds and plays better than my Martin. The on-board Fishman Electronics are superior to anything I have used. This guitar is truly an easy play which is important to me and I believe other's will say the same.

I am editing my previous review, which was not good, as I didn't understand the process of buying a guitar from Zager. I am updating my review, to say that the staff at Zager have been good about responding to my concerns, and although I have not yet received my guitar, I look forward to getting it, and am confident that I will love it!

First, I was unsure of which exact model I wanted - so I vacillated and dithered after receiving my ZAD900CE. The Zager folks repeatedly wrote that they would gladly exchange my model for another with no shipping or reasoning aside from not liking my original choice. They also sold me my guitar at 0% interest, and when I mistakenly thought my pre amp was bad they immediately sent a new one & agreed to pay for its installation. So impressive an operation that, after 3 years, I intend to buy a ZAD900CEOM as soon as another is in stock! The ZAD900CE truly is compatible to my Martin HD 28! I have no complaints whatsoever about Zager products or service!

The Zager team was very helpful keeping me informed of the status of my guitar. Since it was back ordered it took take a while to get it. Once the guitar showed up it was it was as advertised and i am happy with the guitar. I currently play a Taylor and have for a few years. The Zager sounds as good or better and is a beautiful guitar, fit and finish is great.

I bought a used Zager 900 from the brother of the original owner. I knew nothing about Zager other than what I researched online after seeing the ad on Craigslist. I perform locally and was looking for a guitar with this feature set, and was impressed with it's construction quality, components and, most of all, playability. I immediately liked the neck in my hand, the easy action, and the evenness of its acoustic response. The Fishman aura system proved itself at my first gig with the guitar this last weekend. The house was full of musicians, many of whom commented on how good the Zager sounded thru the PA. The questions I posed to Zager via email were answered immediately, and their customer service was, frankly, amazing to me. I think this guitar offers a huge value for it's price.....I don't think acoustically it is the match for real high end guitars, but then this is a solid wood guitar that appears to have not been played since it was built in 2018, and it has very light strings (.11s) so maybe a lot of time playing it, and heavier strings will open it up even further. It still sound wonderful the way it is. Again, a fabulous guitar for the money.

I have been playing electric guitars since I was a teenager, and I am now 71. I love the sound of an acoustic guitar, but I could never find one that felt comfortable for me to play. I have owned three high end Taylors but traded them in on electrics because I just couldn't play the things that I wanted on them. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to buy another acoustic. The shop I went to had Taylor, Gibson, and Martin acoustics which all looked great and were very expensive. I was convinced that I would finally find an acoustic that would be a keeper. After looking at and playing a number of them, I came home with a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top. None of those acoustic guitars I tried had the feel and sound I was looking for. I had given up on having a nice acoustic when a year ago, my wife mentioned she had read about Zager guitars. I was skeptical about buying a guitar that I could not play first but the Zager guarantee stated that the guitar could be returned if it didn't meet expiations. My wife said if I wanted, I could get a Zager for Christmas last year. We picked the ZAD80CE Aura and I was amazed when it arrived. It was everything I had been looking for in an acoustic all those years. The looks, sound, and payability are amazing. I love the truss rod that easily allows setting the string action without filing the nut or bridge. I was so impressed that we added a beautiful ZAD900CE as well. Per the Zager staff recommendation I purchased a Fishman Performer acoustic amp which pairs perfectly with their guitars. Both Zagers are keepers and will stay in my family when I can no longer play them.

Denny and Dennis Zager are absolutely the greatest people to work with! When I decided to order my guitar, Dennis kept in touch with me throughout the process! I had a few questions and Dennis was very quick to answer my questions and then followed up after I received my guitar to ensure customer satisfaction! ABSOLUTE BEST Customer Service I've ever encountered! My Guitar is an amazing piece of craftsmanship! Absolutely beautiful. I've shopped Martin, Taylor, Fender and Gibson as well as other high-end brands and I have not found any of them that put in the attention to materials and detail until you get into double and triple the price point. I have played my 1973 D25 Guild for over 30 years, and I have found the Zager to be my new go to even though I'll never stop playing my Guild. Any Negative review about customer service is very difficult to believe because Dennis Zager ISTHE representative. Denny Zager inspects and signs every single guitar. He is meticulous.

I received my new Zager ZAD 80CEA about a week ago (on time) and cannot put it down. I had been playing a 25 year old BlueRidge and the difference in playability was amazing. The tones are rich and deep (exactly what I was looking for) and I understand will get even better with age. I can't wait! The service I received was second to none. I thoroughly checked the guitar for flaws and found none. Denny and his crew did an amazing job. The quality of their work is superb! I recommend this companty and their guitars to anyone looking for quality and playability at an affordable price!

At first I was curious but unsure . I decided to give them a chance . They quickly won me over . You get a high quality acoustic guitar and the company can be trusted .

I have 4 Taylor guitars. 914ce, 614ce, 512e, T5. I like the easy play of the Taylor. I had heard of Zagar guitars but NEVER had a chance to play one. I did not know how easy it was to return one if I didn’t like it. My bad. Anyhow, I recently visited a guitar center in Daytona Beach. I happen to see a Zager Parlor guitar. I could not believe how easy it was to play. My wife is 5 foot tall short arms and small fingers. She likes to play the 512e, but has trouble making barre chords and most caged chords. I brought he back to the store the next day. She tried the Parlor guitar and started smiling. She could make chords easily. The action was so low that she did not have to press so hard to make the chord sound correctly. The tone of the Parlor is very nice rich and full of body. I am sorry I did not try one of your guitars before now.. I bought the Parlor for my wife. Little did I know it also came with a hard case, unlike your typical hard case. This case is made for travel and it has a built in hydrometer. For me the case is worth over a couple of hundred dollars. I really got a great deal on this guitar. Thank you for making such a fine guitar.

I have owned a Zager easy play guitar for over a year. It has been a life changer. Before I purchased the Zager, the diabetic neuropathy was so bad in my hands I quit playing.
I know play an hour a day and play in church (not that good, but the guitar gives me great pleasure.

I have been texting you guys the last few days regarding a Zager 900N that is up for auction in this area.
The only reason I checked out your website is because the Zager 900N was nestled in between 5 Martin guitars in the same auction. I wondered why a Zager (which I never heard of before...) was up for bid among the Martins?
I soon found out. Zager boasts of paralleling if not exceeding top brand guitars in sound, beauty, and playability. Denny is not wrong.
I have a couple of top name dreadnaughts which I am very fond of. I like them all. As I grow older I have more problems with mechanics and length of playing. Zager has solved both of those problems for me...ease of play and because of that length of play.
I was fortuante enough to win the 900N at the auction.On Zager's website they mentioned all of the above features and added that "....if you ever come across one (Zager) get it."
Now I understand why the owner of the auction had the Zager 900N amongst the Martins. It deserves a place along side the high end guitars. I didn't say above or below but along side.
This is truly a well made guitar with impeccable attention to detail, craftsmanship, and playability.
You will have your "only Martin" or "only Gibson" or Breedlove or Taylor people...That's fine, however, to have a Zager guitar amongst the others you will find yourself going to the Zager often.
I know I will be getting a lot of 'Oooos and Ahhhhs' from this fine instrument.
Incidently, I was prepared to buy the same model guitar online at Zager's site had I not won the auction. I was already sold.

THE BEST GUITAR EVER!!!! I purchased a ZED900CE years ago and it took a short time to get used to the neck but now I can't believe the difference it made in my playing. I have owned Taylors, Gibsons, and Martins but nothing plays easier than my Zager. Clean, with pure tone is all I ask for. I LOVE THIS GUITAR.

Zager probably doesn't want this review, but I think it will help others who are not "guitar smart" and keep someone else from making a mistake that I almost did. I "almost" gave this beauty up. The company quickly responded and in addition to providing suggestions to fix my complaints, ones that scared me, they coupled that with "we can certainly give you a refund if that is what you choose."

Note: When the company tells you the guitar "will get better over time", it does. It does "play easier" too. Read your instructions. Make the adjustment on the string height if needed, as many times as required, then literally listen day by day how much better it gets.

First of all, my playing style is finger picking and is a light touch. After worrying about a few problems I considered serious, first was the "playability" being harder than I had expected , then a buzzing of a string or two (which was the result of me eventually OVER-adjusting the string height just a tad to fix the first problem) I had a guitar that really was sounding good. Then a week and then 2 went by. I stopped at a local music store to buy a string winder and saw their top model Martin guitar (not Martin's best, but a very good one that sells for more than my Zager ZAD 900CE 50the Anniversary Edition Sunburst model) and had to request permission to play it. Once I did I put it back after about 3 minutes and went back home to play my Zager. Wow. What difference in sound and ease of play on my Zager. Then another 2-3 weeks went by, with me playing it daily as much as my schedule would allow. I could almost hear it improving daily.

Please do read the instructions and don't freak out if there is an issue initially. The Zager staff, Dennis Jr, Betty, Norman the Luthier (and Dennis Sr at the Las Vegas branch doing setup) have answers and can give you videos and instructions if needed.

And to top it off, the day I received the guitar at my door Zager started a BOGO offer with a second, smaller base model free guitar. I queried the staff on this and was met with "No problem." They said "of course they would honor the promo since it was that close to my purchase."

What a class company.

I hope when I get this one paid off you can bring back your small travel guitar for me to take on trips, as I was afraid to bring this guitar with me for a week in a hotel in TN visiting relatives as I couldn't bear to have had it stolen from a hotel room, but man did I miss playing it. (The BOGO base model will probably go to my grandson who is young and learning)

I am aware not every part is made in America, but I know all the best materials and parts are used (I saw the list and see it in the guitar now) and it is assembled and finished with American Craftsmanship.

Keep up the great work and thank you for making an affordable (I didn't say "cheap") guitar that an "Average Joe" can still buy!

Friendly, yet professional service. I have played a guitar for 68 years, many of those years on stage, professionally, and this Zager 900 pro series is the best guitar I have played in all those years.

My guitar suffered a small scratch and blemish or cracking of the finish. I emailed Zager Guitars along with a picture. They got back to me directly actually one of there Luther's and gave me very thorough directions and instructions on how to touch up my guitar to make it good as new. He had assured me it was just cosmetic and it wont affect the sound or performance of my nice Zager guitar. I truly appreciate the whole process and companies responses on any and all concerns with my Zager
Guitar which I love and appreciate. My many thanks to a company that cares.

This review is about the great customer service I have received from Zager. I ran into a problem with the Aura system on my ZAD900CE. Zager immediately shipped out a new 900CE and I received it even before the return was picked up at my house by FedEx. The guitar is great and everything I hoped for in an acoustic/electric, and the easy contact and resolution to my problem was above and beyond any customer service I expected or have received from other companies in the past. I HIGHLY recommend Zager for instruments and customer service!

I recently purchased a ZAG 900CE and love it! I haven’t played for quite a while and was worried that my old fingers wouldn’t be able to make cords. The narrow neck and low string height make it easier for me to make clean cords. I’m so happy with my Zager, I’m considering another one to throw in the car when I'm traveling..

I have never seen or played a Zager guitar before, but after visiting the website, reading the reviews and listening to Denny and Denny Jr. explain their building process and history, I felt this was the guitar I should have. I chose the ZAD900 and from the time I placed the order to the time I played the first chord, I was not disappointed. Not only does this guitar play and sound like no other, it is a beautiful instrument. The craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail is incredible! Thank you, Denny and family for a great purchase and ownership experience!
