Extremely rude Australian man...

Extremely rude Australian man working the checkout called me an alcoholic for buying alcohol at around midday for a bbq I was planning later in the day. Every time I go in to aldi this same cashier gives me such a bad attitude it borders on aggressive toward me and makes me very uncomfortable. I only shop in aldi now when all other options are unavailable.

I visited the Aldi store in Kildare…

I visited the Aldi store in Kildare town this afternoon. After picking up the items I needed I proceeded to the checkout. At the checkout I ask the guy scanning my items if he could push the items further towards me when scanned instead of me have to stretch out under the protective screen, a simple request which if he thought about it, he would have realised not only would it make things easier on me but it would have speeded up things for him clearing all my items into my trolley much quicker. Anytime I have ever asked a member of staff to do this its not a problem but the guy today was of the opinion I was telling him how to do his job and proceeded to throw what can only be described as a tantrum. I told him if he wanted me to go elsewhere for my shopping I would to which the reply came 'Go elsewhere if you want I don't care '.At this stage he had come out from behind the till counter and was standing in front of me raising his voice. He clearly went on a ' Basil Faulty ' customer care course. At this stage whilst he was standing in front of me he attempted to mouth off about something and I told him I wished to speak to a manager and at that stage he started shouting to a co-worker to get a manager. When the manager arrived a co-worked of the ' Basil Faulty Customer Care Graduate' pointed me out to the manager. When I started to explain the situation to the manager the 'Basil Faulty Customer Care Graduate ' started shouting for the manager to go over to him. Yes, this is an Aldi store on a Friday afternoon, you could not make it up, and Im not, as the whole thing would have been caught by the CCTV camera at the checkout. The manager proceed to get my shopping from the checkout where the ' Graduate ' was working and moved it to another checkout where a female member of staff scanned everything through her checkout. I would like to point out that the manager of the store, in my opinion, handled the situation in a professional courteous manner. I have been shopping at the Aldi store Kildare for several years and have always found the staff to be very helpful, courteous, and pleasant, and I have never had any reason to complain. The attitude of this Aldi employee today was an absolute disgrace, and in my opinion he should not be in a customer facing role as he clearly has neither the temperament, self control, or personality to deal with the public. From what I seen today this guy is a liability and needs close monitoring by senior management. I rang Aldi customer service but their response was what is called ' Standard Company P.R Speak 'but I did suggest to them that senior management take a look at the stores cctv recording to see the incident for themselves. Several people witnessed this incident and I spoke to 2 of them outside the store and one said she could not believe what she was seeing.

DISAPPOINTED 😞

Very disappointed....with the rheinbacher 6pk bottles. I always buy them along with alot more shoppin. But when bought today it was like a gas explosion all over the kitchen with all 12 bottles.

Mouldy Wraps!!!

Bought a pack of wraps recently, they were at least a month within their best before date but inside they were riddled with mould. Contacted Aldi, got a response almost a month later to say they were sorry, but that I should have brought them back to the store! Unbelievable. Won’t be rushing back. Had a similar issue with Lidl before and they couldn’t do enough for me and were killed apologizing. Lidl 1 Aldi Nil.

Blessington Aldi 2 days ago. Staff there is lovely 5 🌟 now is 1c out side and in the store feels like freezer, this is crossing with humans rights and is unacceptable!!!! This lovely people there are in the health risk worst then Covid-19, l reported this problem to Aldi customer service and l told them that this is issue there min 3 weeks but is more. I was in the store 30 min and lm not feeling well, this peoples are there 8-12 hours per day.lm not going to stop on this if needed l will put you on TV! ALDI shame on YOU!!! So much money you earned and you saving on your staff !!!! Staff should take a pic every day of temp. In the store and sude Aldi!!

Aldi is one of the best shops in Ireland in my opinion, from the groceries to the middle aisle special buys, it's all so affordable for families, that's my opinion anyway.

I went to the Castleisland store in…

I went to the Castleisland store in Kerry today. The reminders of social distancing are gone, replaced by the Xmas music.
To my surprise I was urged to travel to the front of the checkout, no doubt to maximise the use of the belt and serve more customers "faster".
After leaving the store, I had to return for a forgotten item. At a different checkout I was again urged to "move up". The queue at this checkout had more in common with a conga than a sales point.

There is a new very virulent form of covid going around, the health service is going to be pushed as it is, without shops adopting practices that seem to put profits before anything else.

I wonder if the genius behind this idea of getting the punters through quicker has given a thought for the misery and deaths covid has already caused.

This is just blatant greed, with no regard for customers or the health service.

Sligo staff rude, obnoxious and publicly shamed my partner. Laughed at her expense when she left the till area. Customer service complaints section is useless don’t waste your time.

Aldi too big to care about customer satisfaction

Recently bought a childs bedding set from aldi. Didn't open it immediately. But when I opened it, got an immediate smell of gasoline. I dismissed it and decided to wash it. What a mistake. The smell got worse and even contaminated the next wash. Tried washing again and leaving it out to dry but no better. Wrote to customer services to complain and requested a refund. Best they could offer was a 15 euro voucher for what was obviously a defective product from the get go. Quite disappointing for such a big company to treat customers that way. I've had much better experiences with smaller companies when things go wrong. Aldi obviously too big to care!

Very happy to get my special buy offer, i would give 5 stars, if my local store had item, l wanted but they did not get it in, but they did check with store a 15 minutes, away and they had it.
