I have had my tricycle now for two years and still delighted with it and the continual support from Alpine, Steve goes out of his way to provide excellent customer service.

From start to finish very easy and pleasant purchase. Trike was delivered to my door fully assembled and everything explained to me by a very helpful young man. I so love my trike.

Steve was very patient when helping me to get used to the trike. It is a high spec trike and the description on the website is accurate.
It does take a while to adjust to riding with 3 wheels instead of 2. I’m still getting used to it .

Fantastic. Went over to Leicester, where we welcomed and shown a range of electric tricycles. Had a test ride around park area along paths as well as grass, plus slopes etc. Tried different styles but was impressed by the Commando. Was told all about charging, maintenance etc. The one we tried was brand new and was delivered that afternoon to our house in Staffordshire. Also got 14 days free insurance. Bought a high security lock at the same time from Alpine. We were also told we could phone any time if we had problems.Can not fault the service. Thank you dso much for the outstanding service.

As usual prompt service in response to my latest request. Every interaction I have had with staff at Alpine Electric Bikes is always positive. I really enjoy using my tricycle; if you have an interest in E bikes consider Alpine.

I still don't have received the purchase. Way too long.
Also, a tracking number needs to be provided as soon as it is issued by the carrier.

Alpine Electric Bikes provided a fantastic service throughout. With excellent communication, helpful guidance, and knowledgeable support, they ensured we felt confident in our purchase. The personal delivery and setup were greatly appreciated. My husband, at 83, absolutely loves his bike. Minor adjustments were needed, but overall, a great experience. Highly recommend!

Steve brought three trikes for me to try and spent a lot of time explaining the features of each of them .I tried all three and decided that the Commando was the one I liked best , he gave further instruction on that so that I could give it another try .I phoned him after about a week and ordered a Commandowhich he brought over at exactly the day and time I had requested .Altogether a very satisfactory experience .

It was good to have the trike delivered assembled by Steve even though expensive

Steve was excellent in explaining about the trike and giving me a trial to make sure it was what I wanted.
There was no pressure to buy, just good advice.

Alpine Trikes are the best - had mine 2 years and it is totally reliable and so much fun to ride. I feel safe on this sturdy trike. Can’t recommend the company and it’s product enough- Alpine Rocks!!!! And service! Delivered a battery to me personally! Love you- Alpine, keep on keepin’ on and so will I.

I feel it is necessary to advise about the important issue with the tilt trike, particularly as there is next to zero after-sales service from the company. I actually love the trike and have done many miles on it. However, the time came when I had to do the servicing. So, I was shocked to find out that despite what their website states, the trike IS NOT EAPC compliant, and it would not be serviced by any of the high street outlets, as the throttle does more than 4 miles per hour, which is against UK regulations. Considering its specifications, the trike would have to be adequately registered with the government (not just the mere theft-focused registration), receive a registration plate and be classed as light motorcycle in order to be serviced. It turns out that the insurance you'd buy for the e-trike would prove invalid should you ever be in a situation to have to use it. I'm just stunned that the company keeps getting away with selling something which falls into a big grey area in terms of UK compliance, without advising the customer. No wonder they are so hard to get in touch with after the sale has been completed.

UPDATE: After posting this review, the company flagged it for alleged defamatory content. Trustpilot assessed their request, subsequently confirming that my review is not defamatory, and my experience is valid and worth sharing. Unfortunately, with regards to the trike, my situation isn't great - one of the brakes has been non-functional for a while, and due to the compliance issue, I still cannot get the trike serviced anywhere. This means I now have no choice but to replace it entirely. Buyers should be aware of this before making a purchase.

UPDATE 2: I appreciate your response. However, your website states the bike is EAPC compliant, yet the throttle does not function in a way that meets compliance standards. For a throttle to be compliant, it must be limited to 4mph, but on this trike, it either engages at a higher speed or not at all. This distinction was not made clear to me at the time of purchase, nor is it clearly explained on your website. Given that the trike weighs 37.5 kg , a throttle is almost necessary for ease of starting, yet a compliant setup is not an option on this model.

You state that the throttle should only be used on private land, implying that it can be easily disconnected. However, I was never provided with any instructions on how to do it myself, nor is it clear whether a user can disable it without professional help. If it requires a technician, that's yet another barrier to compliance that was not disclosed at the time of purchase..

As for servicing, you say "most cycle shops will be able to do it", but my direct experience contradicts this. Kwik Fit, Cycle King or Halford have all refused to service it due to its non-compliant status. If you are aware of specific shops willing to take it on, I would appreciate a list. Additionally, even if this trike were only used on private land, how are owners in that situation supposed to get it serviced? If high street shops refuse, what servicing options do you provide? And again, what about their insurance - their trike would still be the same as mine, right?

Regarding contact, I have reviewed emails from both your company and Trustpilot. There was no request for more information after my initial review, nor have I ever received support from you despite multiple attempts to reach out after my purchase. Claiming that I have not provided my details is misleading - especially given that my first name is not common, and my purchase should be easy to verify.
Ultimately, my concern remains unresolved: I own a trike which I cannot use in a compliant way as intended, cannot get serviced, and now have to replace. Future buyers deserve full transparency before making their decision.

the product arrived on time and was just what i wanted.

I brought a second hand Alpine Electric Trike, built about 2018. I was enjoying riding it until 2 months later the axle sheared off, and I lost 3 of the 4 cogs. I arranged to have it taken to a repair shop and both Rich and I have tried phoning and emailing but we can’t get a response to the question, do they have a spare axle for this model?

I visited Leicester to have a trial ride on the Explorer - Steve was great, really patient and informative and gave me the confidence I needed to get to know the trike. There was no pressure to commit to a purchase, just concern that I had enough time to know if this was right for me.
Once I made the decision, Steve quickly brought the Explorer to my home for me to try again, but also the Commando which I was interested in due to the different pedal assist.
The choice was so easy and I’ve been riding the Commando now for the last month with Steve easily contactable for any queries.
It really is the best, and I’m enjoying every minute on the trike, whether it’s a day out on the canal path, a trip to the local shops, or to my volunteer work.
I can’t thank Steve enough for the difference this has made to my life - I recently lost my driving licence due to health reasons and this has given me back my independence.

I was impressed with Steve's excellent website for Alpine Trikes. When contacted he willingly agreed to bring 3 different models for me to try - I happily paid £130 towards the cost of this (refundable on purchase).
These impressive bikes were more solidly built than I had imagined. However, due to my balance problems and mobility issues I decided not to go ahead with the purchase. Steve was very reassuring and put no pressure on me. I was sorry not to be able to go ahead and do a deal with a straightforward, honest guy, and sad I could not cope with one of these great machines.
