I found this company through a Google search after doing the unthinkable—losing not one, but two phones in the Istanbul airport. I emailed 17 different couriers, and Fatih was the first to respond. It was immediately clear he was the right person for the job.

I had a ton of questions and concerns, and Fatih answered every one of them quickly and clearly. The process for retrieving items from the airport’s Lost and Found is incredibly tedious, confusing, and slow, but Fatih guided me through every step and made it as simple as possible. At one point there was even an unexpected issue with the office that required an extra trip, and they handled it right away.

I had the great opportunity to work with Fatih from the Lost and Found Shipping Service, and I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough.

Here’s the background. I accidentally left my phone on a Turkish Airlines flight during a layover in Istanbul on my way from New York to Saudi Arabia. The phone was located by Lost and Found, but retrieving it turned out to be far more complicated than I expected. Despite having my credit cards, driver’s license with photo ID, and even photos of the phone with its very distinctive case, I was told I needed a notarized power of attorney to authorize pickup.

Thankfully, I found the Lost and Found shipping service online, which had excellent reviews. I reached out and was connected with Fatih, who spoke perfect English (a huge help, since most other couriers we contacted did not). He guided me through the entire process with incredible patience and professionalism — countless calls and text messages back and forth to make sure every document was done correctly.

It was not a simple process. I had to visit the Turkish consulate in Saudi Arabia to get the power of attorney notarized, and Fatih stayed in touch every step of the way to ensure all the details were right. Once everything was approved, his team picked up the phone the same day, sent photos for confirmation, and shipped it promptly.

After leaving my smart watch at Istanbul airport, I located it in the airport lost and found using their inquiry form. They told me I would need to arrange a courier. The Contact Us page of the Istanbul website of Antalya lost and found has a phone number. I sent a WhatsApp message there to ask if they could help return my watch to me in Australia. Fatih replied on WhatsApp, providing a price on the first contact. I decided that price was worth paying and went ahead. Fatih guided me step by step through the activities needed. It all worked, I have my watch. Fatih proved reliable and trustworthy, as well as being thoughtful and helpful throughout the process.

Our little girl lost her tablet at Antalya airport. It was found but I still had to go pick it up and for me it is impossible with two children. Mr. Fatih helped me enormously with everything that was necessary, and my little girl received the tablet in 3 days by courier, directly to the door.
