Not my first time using Austin Guitars or even my first review but honestly still the best place to go for guitar stuff I actually bought one this time instead of just string changes or set up an made up with it no rubbish sell or anything just genuine good honest lads who guide you right direction an to the right gear for you. Don't hesitate to go just go or even from a far am sure Reg an Paul could sort you out I certainly wouldn't go anywhere else.

Reg opened the shop at short notice for me as I had a small window of opportunity to come and view a used Baby Taylor. What a great guy and what a fantastic little shop he has here. Spent a very enjoyable hour trying the guitar and just chatting. Will be recommending Austin to anyone I hear is after a guitar. Reg has got it spot on here without a doubt.

I have recently purchased a preowned Martin Guitar from Reg at Austin Guitars. I would highly recommend this hidden gem of a shop and encourage anyone to pop in when you can. I will definitely be back!

What I great guitar shop family run both dad son couldn't do enough I fully recommend this place my daughter is so happy with her guitar even helped set everything up plus recommend someone for lessons plus I ordered late 3 days before my daughters birthday an they still managed to get my guitar before her birthday top place hidden little gem thanks Austin guitars.

I stumbled on Austin Guitars, looking online for a cheap Tanglewood acoustic to play around with alternate tunings. The guitar arrived in a couple of days, very well packed and unmarked. I was a bit unsure when I pulled it out of the box, the build and look wasn't quite what I was expecting, but that's buying online for you. Then I started to play it and just haven't been able to put it down. I really like the tone and the action's actually the easiest of the three Tanglewoods I've got. Goes to the truth that acoustic guitars find you.

I emailed Reg to thank him and got a really kind reply. I'd definitely buy from Austin Guitars again

Called into this wonderful little shop, stocked with an abundance of lovely instruments.
I was  greeted by two amazing and most helpful guys, Reg and Paul.
Despite being in my senior years and somewhat a beginner they made me feel most welcome and comfortable.
There were no issues with trying out as many guitars as I wanted.
I did in fact purchase a lovely guitar, however after getting it home and practicing, I decided,  sadly, it was not for me, totally MY misjudgment.
I spoke to Reg and Paul, they were most understanding and sympathetic allowing me to return the guitar with no issues.
I cant express how genuine, understanding and passionate about their business and customer's these two guys are.
I hope I am able to return and purchase the instrument that is right for me.

I have spent a great deal of time among musicians, all of them much more talented than me. I just did a bit of singing.

I have had a fascination and love of guitars for years and it is only now in later life I have become an "enthusiastic beginner". I want to be as good as my youngest son!

Having experienced (or just been dragged along to) many guitar shops over many years it was a real breath of fresh air to meet a family of passionate and hugely knowledgeable gutar experts who are driven by customer service.

Paul from Austin remarked that 'acoustic gutars choose you rather than you choosing them' and I agree. However, when making a decision on what could be a life changing purchase (regardless of age or ability) you are going to need someone to give you unbiased options. Options that are not based on margins or names but you the player themselves.
It's a bit like buying a bespoke suit I guess. You want a perfect fit. Making a purchase from a soulless and faceless on line seller would be a mistake....I know I have done it.

What is really impressive is that a total novice like me can walk into their shop, not be judged on ability and be accepted. You will be listened to soley because you want to have a go and they understand because they have made the same journey.

I kind of wandered in to the shop after a quick email exchange with Reg and made a used purchase which has been just brilliant. It was a joy to return for some technical advice and a little work on a guitar I already owned.

Those that popped in while I was there were a mix of returning returning customers or those that had travelled. All had implicit trust in the staff. No questions were left unanswered and nothing was too much trouble. Some other so called local 'specialists' or 'music shops' could learn how it should be done! I left deeply impressed.

This family run business is a hidden gem, slightly hidden away but the word needs to spread because their charismatic enthusiasm is deeply infectious.

Should you wish to upgrade you guitar or purchase your first, select the correct amp or get expert and skilled repairs/set up, you really should consider dropping in to this welcoming and friendly shop. Great people and all done because they just love guitars and happy customers.

took my guitar to austin guitars as i had a slight problem with the set up and the tremelo bar. they had a look and asked me to leave it with them. 2 hours later they phoned me to say it was ready. excellent service. would highly recommend them.

A hidden gem of a store!

After speaking to them over the phone I paid them a visit and purchased a pre-owned mint condition Boss GT-10 guitar multi-effect pedal board at a great price, pretty much the lowest price anywhere!

Great knowledgeable people providing a down to earth, personal and friendly service.
Well stocked with some beautiful gear. Easy to get to and find with free parking on site

Excellent service, cannot fault

Met the guys at a guitar conventions at Aintree racecourse. My 14yr old was looking for an electric guitar. They gave us loads of feedback and we visited the shop in Kirkby. The service and help was 2nd to none. My son played loads of guitars until he decided on one. He’s thrilled with it. This shop is a hidden gem and the service is superb. Will be back soon no doubt

Bought a bass from Austin Guitars, having seen it on their web-site. Took a gamble, as Liverpool is a long way from me, but Reg was great to deal with - all e-mails answered promptly and my questions answered honestly. Bass arrived today in super condition. Well-pleased with whole transaction and would recommend these guys.

Had my bass fixed by Paul both Paul and reg were very helpful and insightful it’s good to just be surrounded by people who love music and know a lot about it.
