Absolutely s**t service

Absolutely s**t service, was on hold for over an hour and a half, call dropped. Called again. For another hour and a half and called dropped. 3 hours in total wasted trying to cancel my insurance (because they are the most scammy “insurance brokers” ever). If you try calling regarding a claim etc. Their business partners answer straight away but anything else they do not answer. Please do not fall for the sweet honey trap of low prices. Pay a few more hundred pounds to get a better reliable insurance company who look out for you. Terrible service. I would like to rate it -10.

One star is still too high for Autosaint

It's ashamed I am not allowed to rate this frecking ridiculous broker with minus stars, other wise I would have done so.

I am not a person that is keen to give suggestions to others, but if you're considering buy your cover from Autosaint, please avoid. This is the wrost brooker I've ever seen in the entire universe!!!

The average responding times for their customer service is about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and the call may just be cut off while you're waiting with no call backs at all. They charge incredibly high amount of fees for cancellation. Their black box system is nothing but a annoying scam which is trying to take your money.

I've got 2 years of no claim bonus and they still intended to charge me over £2500 while I can insure my car for just under £800 from other brokers. Briefly speaking, Autosaint is a rogue company so please stay away from them!!!

*UPDATE: MONEY STILL TAKEN BY THEM AFTER POLICY HAS BEEN CANCELLED

This rubbish company still took my money 3 days after the policy has been cancelled. I have to contact my bank to claim the money back. I've contacted related authorities regarding to this.

I genuinely wish this freaking autosaint will be stopped from operating.

Not recommended

I purchased a new car and i called them for the policy update as i had to put the car on the road to go back home, no one picked up. They emailed me after 17 days to advise me that i actually need to call them as they require more info. Really ?
Worst option i've ever had.

These people are con-men

As of writing this I am 2 and a half hours being on hold. Not all bad as after 1 and a half hours I got an answer only for the call to be disconnected, no call back or anything so started the journey all over again. My insurance was cancelled because I was 1 below the speed score when I have been very careful to avoid speeding so I'm not sure how that is even happened but at this rate I wonder if I will ever know. As a young driver I'm scared and just want to talk to the company to figure out my options or to see what I can do but obviously money is more important than me in this situation. Sent an email five days ago, got nothing back, I do not recommend these people in the slightest. They may look cheap but trust me by the end you will wish you paid a bit extra for a better insurer.

My GF uses autosaint and has been out of work Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and has not been using her car except for one time last month! She went to get some shopping and it’s the only time she gets to go out.

On her trip to the shop a car jumps a red light and she is forced to break hard to prevent a collision (which we have on her dash cam).

A week later she received an email saying that she had dropped below her score on breaking and that it needed to improve, and despite having the footage of the incident they did not give it a second thought.

It’s been a month now and she’s only been using her car for very short essential journeys and has just received yet another email stating that her insurance is going to be cancelled, and that she needs to pay the outstanding amount, which is F***ing outrageous!

They don’t want the proof you can provide they only care about money! Look at all the other reviews and you’ll see 94% are bad ones!

AVOID!! LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!

AVOID!!! LISTEN TO EVERYONE ELSE!!! WORST INSURANCE!!! I’m so angry, I have no claims bonus of 2 years and I can’t even transfer it to my new insurance because they can’t be bothered to help or pick up the phone. I’ve been on the call for more than 3 hours hoping for an answer.... NO ANSWER FOR A WEEK! Really disgusting service I wish no gets offered by this service. Literally time wasters!! Another reason is I eventually got an answer after 2 hours and the women on the phone said she would email it to me. Waiting for an hour to a day. NOTHING!! That women lied to my face. They can’t even do their jobs. Honestly it’s worth the money paying somewhere else where they won’t first waste your time, second take ur no claim bonus and take your money.. the list goes on. My insurance will cancel today because they don’t want to answer the phone to give my no claims bonus!! This isn’t the first I had a problem with them. Please avoid, because people aren’t lying, they catch your eye with the price, just all lies!

Don't use autosaint!

i often ignore reviews and use a product/service for myself before judging but if you're reading this, trust me, don't use autosaint!
Firstly, everything with autosaint is a long, drawn out process. It takes ages to get through to someone and actually talk to a person - on from that, it then takes ages to get anything resolved.
They charge you the absolute earth. £2800 for my second years insurance with them... I was getting offered £1000 from competitors. Autosaint even quoted me as a new customer £2000!!! To change anything on your insurance also costs: £20 to change the plate on my policy.

The blackbox driving scores are also far from correct. You could be driving absolutely fine but still be reading an awful score for 'harsh breaking' or 'driving too fast' when you haven't even got close to the limit.

We used this so called insurance…

We used this so called insurance company for our 17 year old son.
It's hard to put into words how bad this company is. Quick enough to take your money but will not answer numerous phone calls or emails.
Please don't even consider using them.

One star too many

Was insured with Autosaint for my first 4 years of driving, was drawn in by their low premiums. Had no trouble the first 3 years apart from ridiculous hold times to get through to customer service (if you call their new business team they answer within seconds).. bit dodgy

Received my renewal invitation and the premium had tripled (still had a good driving score and no claims at all since passing test). In the past i have called and questioned the price and they just drop the premium which is in no way treating customers fairly, if they could offer that premium they should have done so to start with. Decided to look elsewhere and found insurance with no black box, a better policy and lower premium and they also had better online reviews but this is where my problems began. I called at least 10 times to get my NCB, looking at a 2hr wait time each call to get through where i was constantly being told that they have requested it. Also was told by one agent that she would email me something just to confirm the policy was expired and how many claim free years i had (NEVER received this). Sent at least 15 emails to the company also asking for an update over the period of one months and they all went unanswered. over 6 weeks after my insurance expired I finally received my no claims bonus, they did not care at all that my new insurers were threatening cancellation due to not receiving this either. 2 months after my insurance expired they finally issued a response to my complaint... the £25 compensation does not even compare to the stress that company cause by just existing

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I went with autosaint for my first years insurance which I fully regret, they take an hour to answer the phones then do nothing to help you instead they make up excuses and continue to put you on hold, my policy expired with them nearly a month ago and I am still waiting for my proof of no claims from them, which is putting me at risk of having my new policy cancelled.

They are an absolute joke and shouldn’t be in business

Dont go with this company

Impossible to get in touch with so can never discuss anything with them. Was on my final payment for the year and they decide to cancel my insurance while i was at work saying i broke their policy by going over 25mph however at the time they cancelled me my car was parked up in my works car park and like i said i couldnt discuss this with them cause u cant get in touch with them tried ringing the no answer left the call on for 3 hours plus and nothing. Dont ever go with this company if anything thwy are just a big scam wish i read reviews before getting insured with them they are that bad im glad theyve cancelled me so i can find a better company.

In line with everyone else's…

In line with everyone else's experience, their queue times are horrific. We gave up after holding for more than 1 hour on 3 separate occasions.
In the end called 01527 758 158 and someone immediately answered (new sales not customer service) and said I would get a call back today. We shall see.
Agree - avoid like the plague!

Terrible company

Terrible company, I am very surprised that trading standards has not shut them down.
My daughter took out car insurance with them, I paid for the full year. Then 3 months later they demand another grand because they say she has done too many miles!!
Checked through terms and conditions - nothing in there about max miles, phoned them again and they claim that we were told verbally - before today this was all done online only!
Avoid this company at all costs, they are a scam.

Would rate 0 if I could

Finally done with Autosaint. Around 15 hours on hold in total during my one year. Being told one thing by the customer service team and then being told another thing by the sales team. Today, when chasing my proof of no claims, I discovered that if you phone the SALES line, you get through instantly. They're using COVID as an excuse for ridiculous hold times now, but they were the exact same prior to COVID. Plus, the hold music is awful and will probably be stuck in my head for the rest of my life. Don't go with Autosaint if you're ever planning on spending a night or two away from home because they'll try and charge you £300 to add a second address. I seriously wouldn't take out a policy with Autosaint if it was free of charge. Their black boxes spurt out useless information and they were never able to tell me why my driving scores kept going down. One young sounding guy suggested that I go on a drive and avoid driving around areas with lots of pot holes to increase my driving scores. Why should I have to do that???? I'm not a moaner, but their customer service is a NIGHTMARE. Avoid at all costs!!!! Look through every other review of this company, I'm not the only one.

Please please please always read the reviews before going with any insurance company.
Been with them for 2 years, I received an email saying they have noticed my car is parked at an address that's not been registered to them.
I've recently moved address. I got told it would cost me £65 to change it.
I couldn't get through on the phone so I emailed them asking for a price, someone got back to me in 20 minutes asking my new address and when I moved in. (Surely they should know if they've been checking my location)
I sent them my new address and when I moved in but nobody got back to me until 2 weeks later they sent me a email with a PDF attached saying I owe them £138 and if I don't pay in 7 days they'll cancel my policy. So I called them and I was on hold for 4 hours!! I then wrote them a lovely email saying I will be cancelling my policy myself. And not to expect that £138 from me. It has since been 2 weeks and I've still had nothing. Luckily I found a new insurance for £400 cheaper, so thanks autosaint for making me finally see the light xx

Like most people on here I would mark…

Like most people on here I would mark this company a 0 if possible
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and only wish we had read the reviews before hand
My daughter took an insurance policy with them which has been cancelled due to speeding -although we are still waiting for proof of this.
She also was threatened with cancellation when staying at her partners during lockdown as her dad was shielding and was charged extra or cancellation.
She has no had her policy cancelled 2 months before end of policy and when no payments are required because it's a 10 month payment plan .... funny this has happened to a few people!!!!
Also like many her dashboard password suddenly didn't work - so not able to check scores requested a number of times log on details eventually sent but did not work .... again similar to others
Also called and has spent £70 trying to get through over the last two weeks spending 6.5hrs on hold in total.
Now she can't get insured as she has a cancelled policy for anything under £4500
I have decided to go to the Ombudsman with this young drivers are being bullied and scammed which has a long term effect
She added me to speak to them and have requested i receive all black box logs all call recordings and all emails sent ---- Lets see
I will fight for all these young people who are just trying to get along and companies like these are taking advantage - Shame on you !!!

Joke of a company sat on hold for 2 hours no answer and they text me asking me to call them or my insurance will get cancelled joke gives me one days notice they didn’t install my black box when the date came avoid at all cost
