My honest review of the Steam Therapy Pro

My honest review of the Steam Therapy Pro after 2 days of use.I will update the review at the end of 21 days. First the shipping is terrible.It took 18 days to receive the mask.Second, customer service is also bad.You can only e-mail them and you will be lucky if they respond.Thirdly, the mask design is not good.It is very uncomfortable.I have a sore, red mark on the bridge of my nose after 10 minutes.Also, if you run it on continuous flow at temperature setting 2, it will run out of water before the 10 minutes is up.After 2 days of use,I do not feel any improvement of my dry eye.I will continue using it for 21 days as recommended.

On the water running out: at continuous flow, the reservoir empties faster by design, so the intermittent setting is more likely to last the full ten minutes — but we're glad to walk you through the settings so you get the most from each session.

I love the simplicity and the way it makes my eyes feel. I don’t like the confusing buttons to select mist and select heat setting. Still trying to figure out that part. The instructions are a bit obscure. But it has helped my dry eyes!!

My eyes seem to be improving slowly

My eyes seem to be improving slowly. Most important thing is to use Beminda consistently. The one complaint I have is the fit. It has taken time to find a level of comfort while using the Beminda product.

The Beminda Steam Therapy has really helped my dry eye situation a lot! I had cataract surgery in August and since then, my eyes had become so dry and scratchy. Very uncomfortable. Since using the steam my eyes feel incredibly better, without any added dry drops through the day.

battery life is short

The device is horrible

The device is horrible. Leaks into my eye. Doesn't fit my face. Wanted a refund and the company is giving me a hard time. Stated since I put a claim into PayPal they are waiting for PayPal. In the meantime, PayPal stated to me they can give me a refund. Terrible company. Would not recommend them. Still waiting for my refund.

I cannot find the instructions to how…

I cannot find the instructions to how to use this device correctly. I would like to use it to the hottest setting, 42C, but there’s no way I can tell since there’s no indicator. It seems like warm, and not sure if this is doing anything for me. It’s been about a week.

On the temperature itself: the device doesn't have an on-screen readout, so it can genuinely be hard to judge the exact warmth by feel — and at its warmest it's designed to be a gentle, soothing heat rather than anything hot, so "warm" may well be just right. That said, if it ever seems like it isn't heating as it should, we'd like to take a look, so do mention it in your email and we'll check your unit or arrange a replacement.

Beminda steam mask has relieved my dry gritty red eyes…

I havebeenusing my Beminda steam mask for nearly a month. I have noticed my eyes are not so gritty nor red, Neither do I need eye drops so regularly. Beminda has been good at keeping in touch and helping me with any questions. I would recommend Beminda if you have dry gritty eyes that drops don't offer significant help.

I’m actually only on day 12 because I…

I’m actually only on day 12 because I waited to start after finishing some travel. My experience is mixed so far. When I’m home in the house my eyes feel good and I’m not using eye drops. However when I played golf this week the cool air made my right eye water constantly. I’ve been using the mask in the morning and at night as directed in Phase 1 and massaging my eye for 2 minutes. I’ll continue on with phase 2.
Question: why do I keep my eyes closed when using the eye hydration complex? How does it help my eyes if they are closed?

To answer your question: you keep your eyes gently closed for two reasons. First, it's simply the safe and comfortable way to use it — warm steam and the solution are never meant to go directly into an open eye. And second, the warmth and moisture are designed to work on and around your closed eyelids, soothing the delicate eye area much like a warm compress, rather than being applied to the surface of the eye itself. So closed eyes are exactly right.

As for the watering during golf — cool air and wind can make eyes water for lots of us, so that one's likely the weather rather than the mask!

The 2 months before my order and the 3…

The 2 months before my order and the 3 wks, before order arrived, I had eyedrops and gels in 4 areas of the house and a pot of water for compresses on stovetop. My eyes were painful and irritated. Yesterday, I missed the treatment with no regress in the amazing improvement in my eye comfort. In the last week, I've used eye drops once. There is no other product that I am happier to write a review for because it's better than advertised. My eyes feel better than they have in years. Thank you, Beminda team!

Mask is made for people with flat faces and noses without cartilage.

The only thing that is adjustable about the mask is the strap on the back.

I’ve emailed to request a return four times and haven’t received a response at all.

One star because I had to

I love the idea of this and I wanted to love the device. It’s a waste of money. There’s absolutely no way that it heats to 42 C degrees and it doesn’t fit flush on your face so all the “steam” pours out and the cool air gets in. I ordered a bottle of solution to use with it and I received a bottle with no labels and no safety seal. Is that legal? Oh and you can’t use water in it, so, order at your own risk.

Chronic dry eyes no more

Confused and concerned

Instructions were very confusing. Some instructions said that I must use tap water. Others said I had to use the liquid that the company provided. I am also concerned about the cleanliness of the product. How do I keep it from molding inside?

Low quality but prompt customer service

The unit quit working properly after ten uses. It eventually stopped working entirely after 15 uses. When contacting company about a return during the guarantee period they responded promptly and offered a free at no cost replacement. I have not received new unit yet. Jury is still out. June 27 I received the new unit. The fit is slightly better. It does feel as though the right side of mask puts out more steam and heat than left side still as did previous mask. I too also have drips of condensation from the mask during use which no adjustment resolves. The mask is quite wide for a female face and rigid so does not conform to face well, /spacers were provided to help accommodate better fit, these help but do not fully address poor fit on a small face. The steam does make my eyes feel better and I believe I have reduced the number of times I have had to use eye drops during the day however I still wake up with terribly dry eyes in the morning. The steam provides good relief to this dryness when used first thing in the morning.
