I rented an SUV from BeRent for three weeks and honestly, it was phenomenal. The whole process was super easy and stress-free, right from booking to handing the car back.
The SUV itself was spotless, really comfortable, and perfect for what I needed. It felt great to drive and I never had to worry about a thing during the entire trip.
What impressed me most though was the service. The team were genuinely friendly, helpful, and always quick to answer any questions. You can tell they really care about their customers, which makes a huge difference.
After three weeks on the road, I can honestly say this was the best rental experience I’ve had. I’ll definitely be going back to BeRent next time I need a car.

Top service, straightforward transfer from airport, car in excellent condition, service was very professional throughout. The rent a car location is very clean, very bright.
Also no pressure sales, if you do not need zero limit damage waiver, they do not insist. The car was filled with petrol.
I had my car for the weekend for an unbelievable price.
The first transfer was safe, just that it could have been a bit smoother.. The transfer back to airport after the rental was safe and very relaxed.

I arrived to pick up my reserved car, but BeRent refused to release it because I didn’t have a credit card - even though the booking was fully paid through the platform. I offered alternative forms of guarantee for the security deposit, but the staff showed no flexibility or willingness to help. While I understand the need for policies, the rigid attitude and lack of customer support left a very poor impression.

Don’t get scammed, use another rental service.
Note this is this location near the Lisbon airport.
When we picked up the car they did a damage walk through. There were dozens of scratches and small dents on the car. I have never rented a car before with so many dents but I assumed it was normal for cheaper rental.
Upon returning the car, the employee asked if I had taken any pictures the day I picked it up. I said no. He then pointed out a small scratch (about 4 cm long and thin over the front drivers side wheel). He then informed us it would be 190 euro, which is the minimum they will charge for a scratch.
I asked if he had photos with a timestamp to prove that this one scratch, out of the dozens of them, had been caused by us. He had one blurry picture that proved nothing. I am quite sure we did not cause the scratch but regardless, 190 is rediculous. It looks like it could be buffed out with a cloth.
When he brought the manager, he was extremely rude and patronizing. Wasn’t wearing a name tag of course. He got us very worked up and made it seem like we were crazy. It was an awful experience that left us feeling bad.
It’s pretty clear from the way the manager spoke to us as well as other reviews here that this is how this company operates. I suggest paying a bit more to use another rental service, where the cars aren’t so banged up that the employees can’t even keep track.

Beware hidden charges.
I was given the option of cleaning the exterior and interior of the car myself before returning it or paying €10.95 for Berent to do it.
I have never had to pay a cleaning fee in all my years renting cars
The fuel gauge showed 86% full on collection.
Within 7kms, the gauge had dropped one 'click.'
The 'activation fee' for the toll fob was c.€10.50.
Another excuse to rip off the renter!
They also block a whopping €2,000 on the credit card if, as I did, have my own insurance.
This is by far, the most my card has ever been blocked.
The Berent office is a good distance from the airport.
I will not be renting from them again.
There are many more car rental companies on site at the airport who do not hit renters with 'artificial' charges.

De l’arnaque pure… si la réservation en ligne se passe bien, à l’arrivée c’est autre chose. Nous avons été obligés de prendre une autre assurance car celle souscrite via American express n’était soit-disant pas valable . 500€ à débourser en plus.
Nous avons dû ramener notre véhicule 1 jour avant la date prévue : 73€ factures en plus… et je passe le fait qu’après une trentaine de KM effectués, le voyant de la révision s’est allumé…
Bref tout est fait pour racketter le touriste

I have been scammed. Fuel was not full on collection (no reimbursement when i returned call full), when car was returned full, i got a fuel charge. I have lost money in both directions and Be Rent are unwilling to sort this out. Italian scammers, not a nice way to treat the Irish tourists

Retenir 50 euros pour la voie verte alors qu’elle n’a pas été empruntée et que tous les péages ont été payés avec une carte de crédit personnelle, cela s’apparente à du vol.
Surtout quand rien n’est écrit dans le contrat.

A FUIRRRR ! Pas du tout professionnels. La navette n'est jamais venue nous récupérer à l'aéroport. Notre vol est arrivé avec 1h de retard , ils ont fermés l'agence sans nous attendre et surtout sans prévenir. Aussi Ils sont injoignables par téléphone. En résumé j'ai payé une location en ligne avec l'assurance max et je n'ai pas pu récupérer la voiture donc j'ai perdu mon argent et j'ai du effectuer une nouvelle location.

very poor service. booked through AutoEurope, had to move the booking pick up date by a day, contacted their email reservation changes on the website. No reply, on arrival booking completely cancelled, and No refund. I was still paying for all the days originally booked but they cancelled everything and kept my money, BEWARE NOT PROFESSIONAL>

DODGY BEWARE.
Charged me for a damage that did not exist. When I returned the car the salesperson told me there was a scratch 'under" the bumper bar, I thought he was jokinh as I couldn't see it and asked for his manager to come and confirm there was actually a damage. The manager could not even find the scratch but they insisted and charged me 240 eur. The manager admitted to me that because the rental charges are low they make there money from damages and are encouraged to find anything they can to charge for. I have my own insurance so it wont cost me anything but it is just not right and they are ripping customers off daily.
AVOID Berent Lisbon and use the large reputable companies.

After 13 days of renting, I talked to the company by WHATSAPP asking to return the car earlier and they said okay. To my surprise at the moment of return, they did not give me the credit for the pre-paid used days. They said that it was necessary to send them an email for this process.
After 10 days of waiting for a response, they just answered that NO REFUND because it was my problem to return the car earlier.

Honteux! Une bande d'arnaqueur. Nous avons réservé un véhicule pour 7 jours, avec l'assurance la plus haute "platinium" au nom de mon père, le conducteur. Nous avons payé avec leur carte de crédit (carte du compte commun !) au nom de ma mère.
Ils ont forcé mes parents à prendre une assurance de plus à 25euros par jour (175euros en tout !) car le nom sur la carte ne correspond pas au conducteur. Alors même que la carte ne sert pas d'assurance, l'assurance ayant été prise chez eux au départ. La carte étant juste utilisée pour le paiement. Ils nous ont menacé de ne pas nous louer la voiture car ils savaient que nous étions bloqué sans voiture.
C'est écrit absolument nulle part qu'il faut que le nom soit le même.
Bref ils cherchent juste un moyen de forcer les gens à prendre cette assurance ! UNE ARNAQUE !! FUYEZ CETTE ENTREPRISE !!!!!!

Terrible.
The service excels in inefficiency at every step of the process, it is a truly dreadful customer experience. If there was an olympics for poor customer service Be Rent would have gold. Struggling to find anything positive, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

BeRent a gâché notre budget de vacances, nous avons dû payer 293e supplémentaire pour ne pas repartir à pied ! soit-disant que notre MasterCard Débit n'était pas compatible pour le dépôt de la caution. Pourtant avec cette MasterCard Débit il a réalisé une empreinte de 350 € de caution et nous avons payé avec cette même carte cette somme supplémentaire ainsi que les péages au retour du véhicule ! Une pratique bien organisé (voir les autres avis) Dommage que Google n'a pas accepté les photos, sur demande je peux le prouver si vous me contacté sur Facebook. A la prise du véhicule aucun contrôle de son état (prenez des photos ou filmé si besoin). Le carburant est au trois quarts de plein ce qui rend difficile un rendu du véhicule avec les 3 quarts de plein. Compté 1h pour pouvoir prendre le véhicule. Nous avons déposé une réclamation sur le site de réservation Discovercars.

ATENÇÃO: BeRent estragou nosso orçamento de férias, tivemos que pagar mais 293 para não sair a pé! supostamente nosso Debit MasterCard não era compatível para depositar o depósito. Porém, com este Débito MasterCard ele fez um depósito de 350€ e pagamos esse valor adicional com este mesmo cartão bem como as portagens na devolução do veículo! Uma prática bem organizada (veja os outros comentários) Pena que o Google não aceitou as fotos, a pedido posso provar se você entrar em contato comigo no Facebook. No momento do levantamento do veículo não é feita qualquer verificação do seu estado (tirar fotos se necessário). O combustível está três quartos cheio, o que torna difícil devolver o veículo com três quartos cheio. Permitido 1 hora para poder retirar o veículo. Registramos uma reclamação no site de reservas Discovercars.
