Better photo has not worked in years
Better photo has not worked in years. It was down for ages, then it came up and all my pictures were missing, but I am still subscribed. I have tried to unsubscribe several times without success, and when I write in to ask for assistance, I get no reply. Yet every few months, I get a message from the owner to say that everything is fine and working now. I do feel sorry for the owner as he seems to be way out of his depth, but I think it’s just time for him to give up better photo altogether.

DO NOT use Better Photo!
This is an update to the review I wrote in June of 2025. At that time ALL my photos were gone. Now, as of Feb, 2026 the photos are back, but the entire site is ruined. I previously had important text pages that are gone. All my photos were carefully organized into separate galleries. Now, the site is nothing but a huge mismash of my photos plastered on one page. All my original text is gone, replaced by some typical marketing garbage that I never wrote. Photos that I had "deleted" in years past are now back up on that one "gallery" page. There is no order or sense to the photos. Also, most are extremely distorted on the site. I have downloaded some of the distorted photos and they do display normal after downloading, but no one is going to download a photo that looks ugly on the site. Any attempt at contact went unanswered except for one when all my photos were gone. I was told to use a new browser and clean my cache, which I did. All that did was display a few of my photos, then in another week or so, they were gone again. For all intents and purposes I had NO site in 2025. I see on my login page that an extra year has been added to my contract, but that is worthless, the site is RUINED, nothing at all like what I worked on for years to create. By the way, I WAS a member for over 20 years. To add insult to injury, they have raised their prices to a MUCH higher level. So, bottom line, they have RUINED my site and then expect me to pay a higher price for them to do that? I'm THROUGH with Better Photo. It did provide a very good service for a very long time, but I don't know what kind of lunacy invaded their mind thinking they were going to "improve" things. All they have done is cause LOTS of people a lot of trouble and destroyed sites that customers had worked hard to create.
My website is down
My website was down for nearly the entire year in 2025, and every inquiry I submitted went unanswered. I paid in full at the start of the year, yet no one had the courtesy to update me or explain what was happening. As of today, my website is still down. I’ve been a member since this platform’s inception, and it’s been disheartening to watch the quality and reliability deteriorate year after year.
No functionality for almost an year
I have been with BetterPhoto since 2008. My website with them is (sopposed to be) a representation of my photography portfolio, and it is really frustrating not to be able to use it. This continues since February 2025, and it is not acceptable. An extra year or two of free membership is not the way forward, and therefore I am already developing other online portfolio options.

It has been a year since I was able to access my gallery or website which I paid $389.00 for in January 2025. I was a supporter of Better Photo for over 20 years and now, even given promises of a FREE one year after the Company gets back up, its been too long. I have sent a request for a refund and will be happy when I get it. Until then I continue to be extremely disappointed and discouraged, and out of patience.

I have been a customer of their photofraphy website hosting service for more than 15 years. Went to a competitor due to lack of new technology offerings. Came back and paid for a year's subscription. Have not hand a single day of service all year. No responses to emails and calls. This has killed my business and my artistic pursuits. I am outraged and hurt.

I've been on BetterPhoto for 8 years and in recent years on a paid subscription. The website went down in about February 2025 and along the way Mr. Peak promised the subscribers that they would have a free year when up and running. The site is running but I got no notification of that and cannot get ito the new site unless I pay again. No answer to emails or the phone number listed.

It’s been a week after I paid to renew…
It’s been a week after I paid to renew my deluxe website and all I get when putting in the url is that I can’t connect to the server. Calls have not been answered nor have emails.

Impossible to get customer service .
I had an issue almost a year ago with missing an annual payment. I've maintained a website there since at least 2010. At first they tried to restore my site saying that i should be able to access it within a eeek. This was SPRING of 2024. I never regained access. Since then I have periodically reached out by email to one of the three or four customer service email addresses. I've had no reply at all in 10 months.
I'm desperate to restore my work. Just last week I paid a fee all over again hoping that someone would reach out to me. All I got was a short acknowledgement of my payment.
The customer service used to be so good and they were so reliable. I think they must have changed hands. I'm so extremely frustrated. I maintained that site for over 15 years just to have a record of work that I did when I was younger. It is the only place that that curated body of work existed.😢

Incredibly Frustrated
I have been a member of Betterphoto for 20 years. I have been unable to adequately use the site since January 2025 when they began their "upgrade" .
