Sevaral time i am asking to arrange the call because my book listing not done properly but alsways send ai garated mail, pathetic experience
False Promises
I had paid the registration money for the writing challenge 4 days before it started. Yet now it has been 13 days, I haven't received any link to submit my poems. I kept emailing their team, and the only response I got was "as soon as possible". All their promises were either false or delayed. Neither do they have an immediate action for refund. I do not recommend Bookleaf Publishing therefore.

This company is an absolute fraud
This company is an absolute fraud. My 14 Yr Daughter published a book through them. We paid in advance. Submission was online and no preview was given. We had to struggle with them for 2 months for publication as they took money and forgot about it.
There is no contact number or person you can speak with.
whole scam works on mail.
when finally it got published, we found all the titles of poems were interchanged. There were many printing errors and mistakes. When we raised a complaint they asked us for 2150/- more for editing. As we had no other option we agreed to pay. On which they revised the editing fee to 4300/-.
I am finally raising the issue to Consumer forum.
This company is an absolute fraud. Please do not fall for the scam.
They leech money off people
They are liars. This company is a scam. They lure people by saying they were on sharktank, so that people find them trustworthy. They leech off authors. Save yourself and your hard earned money. Don't go to this company.
I submitted my draft in may2025. My book hasn't been published till now. It's october. They took my money, don't reply for 4 days. Just give auto mod answers. No one answers truthfully. They will tell you they are updating the system, they are busy because they have lots of work, they can't publish because it is taking months. They say they take 1-2 months. Here, it's been 6 months. No response, no help. No published book.
Failure to deliver services and no human support
They took a huge amount and made fake promises which they failed to deliver. No human to address your concerns and only bots sending senseless responses. Nobody to support. You will be scammed and left frustrated.
Predators
I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with BookLeaf Publishers so others can make an informed decision.
At first, BookLeaf seemed credible. Their promotions mentioned Shark Tank and included photos with high-ranking government officials, which made them appear legitimate and well-connected. Based on this, I enrolled in their 21-Day Writing Challenge by paying ₹1,199.
Their promises sounded great:
A free author copy once the book was published
A free Book Marketing Guide valued at ₹3,500
Free nomination for the "21st Century Emily Dickinson Award" (worth ₹1,500)
Guaranteed publishing for all who completed the challenge
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the hype.
After completing the challenge and submitting my manuscript, I waited weeks without any updates. It took several follow-ups before they finally published my book as an eBook — and even then, I had to wait another three weeks for it to appear on Amazon.
Then came the disappointments:
The Award Nomination – Despite the initial claim that it was free, I was asked to pay for the Emily Dickinson Award. Asking for payment to be “nominated” is a major red flag and feels like a pay-to-win scheme rather than genuine recognition.
The Author Copy – Instead of sending me a physical copy as promised, they provided a coupon to order the book myself from Amazon. Although the book price was waived, I had to pay ₹120 for shipping — not acceptable when I already paid for a full package that was supposed to include everything.
In summary, BookLeaf Publishers did not deliver what they advertised. Their practices feel more like marketing gimmicks than genuine support for writers.
To fellow writers: please be cautious. Do your research and be wary of offers that seem too good to be true. In my view, BookLeaf operates in a way that exploits aspiring authors rather than empowering them.
Beware of BookLeaf Publishers predatory publishing services
My experience with BookLeaf Publishers has been highly disappointing, and I believe it's important to share it to caution others.
Initially, they appeared to be a legitimate and trustworthy company. Their marketing included claims of being featured on Shark Tank and showcased images of their founders with the Hon'ble Vice President of India. This gave the impression of credibility, which encouraged me to sign up for their 21-Day Writing Challenge (The Write Angle) by paying ₹1,199.
As part of the challenge, they promised the following:
A free author’s copy of the published book
Bonus #1: A Free Book Marketing Guide (claimed worth ₹3,500)
Bonus #2: Free nomination for the "21st Century Emily Dickinson Award" (claimed worth ₹1,500)
Guaranteed publishing for all participants who complete the challenge
However, the reality was far from these promises.
After completing and submitting my work, I heard nothing from them for almost two months. Only after several follow-ups did they publish my book as an eBook. I then had to wait another 21 days for it to become available on Amazon.
The real issues began after publication:
The Emily Dickinson Award – Despite earlier claims of a free nomination, I received emails asking for payment to be considered for the award. Why should anyone pay to be nominated for an award? That raises serious concerns about its legitimacy.
The Author Copy – Instead of sending a free author copy as promised, they gave me a coupon to order the book on Amazon. While the book itself was free due to the coupon, I had to pay ₹120 for shipping. This cost should have been included in the original package, and asking for additional payment feels misleading.
Based on my experience, I would categorize BookLeaf Publishers as a predatory publishing service that uses misleading marketing tactics to lure aspiring writers.
Writers, be cautious. Do thorough research before engaging with any publishing house. What looks professional on the surface can often be quite the opposite behind the scenes.
They are a scam. Extremely unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND
I am very disappointed with BookLeaf. My experience with them has not been good at all.
I published my book through them, but I never even received a copy of my own book. I contacted their team many times, and in May and June I asked them to delist my book. I followed up more than three times, they asked me to confirm the delsiting anf then never took any action. Even after six months, my book is still listed and they have even added it on amazon now.
The communication from their side has been very poor. They rarely reply, and when they do, they do not solve the issue. As an author, this has been extremely frustrating. I expected professionalism and basic respect for my requests, but I did not receive that.
Overall, I feel that their services are unreliable and unprofessional. I would not recommend BookLeaf to other writers. If you are looking to publish your book, I suggest finding a company that is more transparent, responsive, and trustworthy.
Extremely disappointing
My experience with this company has been so disappointing. I was excited to use their platform to self publish my first book of poetry, and they have pretty much scammed me. While the book is posted on Amazon, it has been unavailable for months and every time I reach out to them they just keep taking me around in circles with the same generic responses. They were also supposed to send me 2 author copies and told me once I had already paid that they could only ship in India. This has been so frustrating and heartbreaking and the company simply doesn't care.

Stay away
Its a scam!
Its a scam!
1) I published a book and paid extra for publishing support, so that book it available globally. It always says, book not available.
2) Paid for running ads, they never showed any proof of running the ads.
3) Paid for prime placement, never happened.
4) Paid for personal manager --> nothing really
5) says book will never go out of stock, amazon keeps showing unavailable
6) many friends and relatives bought my book it says 0 books sold.
Buyer Beware
Buyer Beware: Bookleaf Publishing runs ads on IG for a 30 day challenge - 30 poems for 30 days. For $50 they will publish your writing /poems into a book. I thought, ok - I can do that.
After the first day, they send you an advertisement that for an additional $300 they can publish your book & post it on all the major outlets, give you free advertising, do the book cover, the formatting, editing - all of it. They also will allow you to write additional pages outside the 30 poems. After careful thought - I agreed & paid $300.
That was in February & now it’s August. My new “book” is only on their website but not uploaded to KDP or anywhere else. I’ve reached out to them numerous times (requesting a refund) with no luck whatsoever except for an AI response every time.
I should have known better & I was just trying to save some money. I typically break even on my books.
Authors/writers - just be careful out there (don’t use Bookleaf Publishing & don’t pay them any money-it’s a scam). I’m going to be more careful as well
AVOID - CEO does not care enough about the Indie Authors he claims to support!
*To date, I have not received a response to my email sent over 2 weeks ago.*
Good Morning Musavir,
I understand you are the Co-Founder and CEO of BookLeaf Publishing and as such, I wish to bring your attention to the current difficulties I am experiencing with your publishing house.
I have published three titles with BookLeaf since April 2024:
Free to be Me,
Forever living without You
and my current title For every Season.
My publishing consultant – Farida Khan will confirm I signed off my manuscript for ‘For every Season’ on May 5. As per publishing scheduling, I was quoted 30 business days for live listing on Barnes & Noble and Amazon (in all countries). As you will see for yourself, it is now 62 business days since.
I have consulted with both Farida and the Whatsapp bots since the 30 days elapsed. To date, I have had no tangible explanation as to why there has been such a significant delay.
I have been constantly assured that all is well and in hand and have been respectfully asked to remain understanding and patient throughout.
As of July 18, I was informed my concerns would be escalated to Management, I have since heard nothing by way of a response.
On chasing futher this morning, I have been met with repeat template responses which make it clear that AI is responding on an automated reply tool.
Furthermore, I would like to raise my displeasure at the substandard service I have received throughout, due to being based in the UK.
Your website states that anyone can publish with BookLeaf from anywhere around the globe – however there is no mention of how being based in the UK impacts the benefits of purchasing the Bestseller Breakthrough Package.
To date, I have spent upwards of 1.1K GBP (127,368INR) since I entered the Write Angle challenge in February 2024.
For my first publication, Free to be Me, published April 2024, I was awarded the Emily Dickinson Trophy and did not receive it until December 2024 - after chasing constantly and being told that my patience was appreciated – again with no real explanation.
I was not told that I could purchase cost copies of my book.
I have also – to date - not received any royalties despite meeting the threshold for sales and providing my payment details.
For my second publication, Forever living without You, published October 2024, again I was not told that I could purchase cost copies of my book.
I have also – to date – not received any royalties despite meeting the ‘new’ publicised threshold for sales.
Now my current publication, For every Season, signed off May 5 and available live to purchase on Amazon India has been significantly delayed for purchase in the UK.
It has also only been during the last two weeks that I have been told I can purchase cost copies of For every Season and my previous two titles.
Could you please explain, why the Best Seller Breakthrough Package benefits that I have paid for are not wholly available to me here in the UK, and why this is not highlighted at the point of purchase?
At no stage during my publication of Free to be Me, was I informed that I would not receive a free copy of my book in the form of an Amazon voucher to redeem at checkout. I only discovered this upon enquiring. Surely, I could have been – at the very least – provided with an ’e gift card’?
I am sure, you can understand my frustration, at investing a large sum of money, to then be met with these inadequacies.
May I at this point, (despite the terrible lack of transparent information both on your website and within the template email responses from the helpdesk) express my thanks to the numerous consultants, editors and designers who have been both helpful and supportive during my publishing journey – namely: Ranjana, Arushi and Farida. They have all been professional and have tried their best to satisfy my frustrations.
I welcome an honest update on:
the live listing of For every Season
royalty payments for my first two publications
and a transparent list of costs and delivery timescales for cost copies of my publications.
As a new author and established writer, I have a substantial following of readers on my social platforms and I am sure you understand how delays such as these can have an impact on my credibility.
As yet, I am still to review my experience as a UK author with BookLeaf and this latest situation has done nothing but cause stress and frustration - I would like to be able to feedback my honest reflections rather than have to highlight my displeasure.
I look forward to receiving a timely response from you personally Musavir, with a mutually satisfactory outcome.
I thank you for your time and attention.
Don't fall for this SCAM
I’m utterly disappointed and frustrated with BookLeaf Publishing’s pathetic, unprofessional, and misleading post-sell service.
After paying for their so-called “premium” package, I was assigned a publishing consultant who never responded, despite multiple follow-ups. Every time I raised the issue, all I received were copy-paste bot replies, full of empty promises about reassigning a consultant—but NOTHING actually happened.
It’s clear they’re only focused on taking your money. Once payment is done, they simply vanish. The support is non-existent, communication is a joke, and there’s no accountability at all.
If you value your time, money, and mental peace—STAY AWAY from BookLeaf Publishing. There are far better and more ethical platforms out there for genuine authors. Don’t fall for the polished words and fake promises. This is a money-making trap, not a professional publishing service.
Waste of time and energy!
Highly Disappointed with Bookleaf publishing. Been more than a month I submitted my poems and my book has not been published yet. Fake promises and assurance that it is almost done and has been sent to Amazon for publishing have been shared with me only. When I follow up again, I am told its still pending review with their own team. No transparency and wrong updates are not what I expected from a publishing house! I paid for priority publishing and still no sign of my book. Nobody has contacted me with a status update and its only automated emails and WhatsApp messages being shared by their non existent customer support. I feel they are running a scam and publishing only a select few books while just extracting money from the rest. Do not fall for their sharktank promo. You will waste your time and energy with them.
#TheWriteAngle is not author friendly
The portal is not friendly, you can't download your draft book if you chose to directly write on the dashboard. There is no way to actually contact the publishing house, their whatsapp support seems highly inactive, no one responds there and you can't find any email or number to actually write to.
There is no option to the author to buy book on a discounted rate and has to buy from amazon only where they have added max 2 book at a time setting so author has to bear the delivery charges every time.
Book cost keeps varying in prices as per the publishing house, there is no option for author to control.
In case there are typing mistakes and if author wants to make revisions, they ask for additional charges to make that.
P.S. They only reply when I go and comment on their Instagram ad or post.
it was really a Great experience ..
it was really a Great experience ... one of the bestest platform to make your dream of wrighting a reality
Had a great experience with bookleaf
VERY DISAPPOINTING POST PUBLISHING SUPPORT AND VERY LOW QUALITY OF PRINTED BOOK
The publishing process itself was smooth, and I have no complaints there. HOWEVER, the post-publishing support has been absolutely non-existent. I have raised numerous tickets and support cases regarding multiple issues, yet not a single one has received any response.
The printing quality of the book from Amazon is shockingly poor, the cover page is misaligned and marred by random blotches of color. It seems Bookleaf chose the cheapest printing house possible, which is unacceptable. Whether we like it or not, the cover is the first thing a reader judges a book by, and having such glaring defects sends a terrible message about the professionalism of the publication.
To make matters worse, Bookleaf provided zero support or assistance with these problems and didn’t even have the courtesy to respond to over 20 of my emails. This level of neglect and disregard for authors especially first-time or newly published writers is utterly disappointing and unprofessional.
I expected far better post-publishing support, which is a critical aspect of the entire process. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disheartening. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Many thanks and best wishes to Bookleaf Publishing
I express my heartfelt gratitude to
Bookleaf Publishing for bringing my poetic voice to life. Their 21-day challenge was the catalyst that brought my poems to light in print. As someone who writes passionately for personal fulfillment, I am hesitant and selective about publishing my work, but this experience has reignited my passion to share my creative writing with the world. Congratulations and best wishes to Bookleaf Publishing for nurturing creativity and providing a platform for writers .
