Just following up from my previous…

Just following up from my previous review. My brother has now arranged a course date and will be starting from August, it’s been great so far with someone always on hand to help and answer questions and there are some great deals on the website. My brother is very excited and can’t wait to start and I will certainly be recommending this to my friends and family.

Absolute shambles full of lies

Absolute shambles full of lies, very poor communication and do not deliver what they say. Please do not book with these jokers! You will save a huge amount of money time and stress finding a good instructor and doing weekly lessons. This company have not delivered an intensive course at all and even their instructor advised my daughter not to use them!!! I have Multiple emails where i can evidence no-one responded to my daughters emails about organising lessons and they lie and state they have. When i have raised this they have also stated they would consider a partial reimbursement as they did not deliver what was expected and i have an email to show this is that they said they they changed their mind! Sure they will dispute what i am saying but genuinely a really awful waste of money and time for a service they do not deliver. Nearly a year for an intensive course. Embarrassing. Avoid at all costs

We’re sorry to read that you feel this way, but we do need to correct a number of factual inaccuracies in your review so that readers have a clear and fair picture.

Your daughter did complete the intensive course, with the remaining hours clearly explained as being conditional on reaching test standard, which unfortunately was not achieved at that stage. This was discussed openly during the course and is standard practice across intensive training.

Following the course, we made multiple attempts to arrange the remaining lessons, including contacting two separate instructors, both of whom confirmed their availability. We have email records showing these efforts. Unfortunately, we did not receive the engagement required to progress the bookings.

We must also clarify that no instructor advised your daughter not to use our company. This statement is untrue and unsupported.

While we understand frustration when expectations don’t align, threats of escalation or demands for a full refund for services that have already been delivered are not something we can agree to. Refunds are issued strictly in line with our published terms, which were accepted at the time of booking.

We remain open to resolving matters constructively and have always aimed to do so professionally and transparently.

I have started my ADI part 1 training…

I have started my ADI part 1 training with the view to join Bristol and Bath intensives when I have qualified. From start to finish the process has been fantastic and both the office teams and trainers have been amazing. From the off when I have booked there has been clear and quick communication, easy access to all resources and information I need and always someone on hand to help out if needed. I would definitely recommend, quality training for a great price.

Instructor training

Bristolandbathintensiveas sponsored me to do my PDI training. I found their training to be thorough and flexible to fit around my workload.
I enjoyed teaching the intensive courses. I found 20 or 28 hours a week with one pupil enabled us to nake lots of progress and build confidence quicker.
The company were very supportive and have a nice team of local instructors in Bristol, Bath and Weston super Mare. Great company to be a part of.

I have now really started pushing…

I have now really started pushing forward with my theory learning. I am going through all of the online stuff and finding it really good to watch all all the training videos.

I feel well prepared now for the theory test and cant wait for it.

Support is really good for me as I don’t always pick things up that quickly so I’m grateful that my trainer is supportive.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I booked an intensive course for my partner in Jan 25 with the expectation, as clearly advertised on their website, that they would secure a “fast-track” driving test. Unfortunately, this did not happen, and we were told to book the test ourselves and try for cancellation spots. This meant the test was booked 6+ months after the “intensive” course ended.

As a result, we had to pay for additional driving lessons to maintain test readiness. I emailed a couple times in the 6 months, asking for help to secure a test sooner but communication was poor and vague / generic (as other reviews have stated).

I formally complained in June and asked for a refund of half the course fee (to cover the cost of the additional lessons we HAD to pay for and due to the inconvenience and disruption caused to my self-employed partner who took a week off work for the so called “intensive” course). I also asked for an apology and asked for the false advertisement of a “fast track” test be removed from their website.

The company acknowledged this and agreed to cover a couple blocks worth of driving lessons. However, after months of chasing, broken promises, and repeated delays, they later revised their offer to only pay half of what they originally agreed.

This issue has been ongoing since since the summer, and despite being described as a “priority,” we have seen no resolution. The lack of communication and professionalism has been incredibly disappointing.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with this company. In our experience, the service did not deliver what was advertised, and the aftercare has been extremely poor.

I have reported this issue to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice, and I would encourage anyone else who has had similar experiences to consider doing the same

One of the Worst Customer Experiences I Have Ever Had

This company has shown me levels of disorganisation and disregard for customers that I did not think were possible in a professional service.

My 7-day intensive course was cancelled at the last minute, rescheduled, and then completely abandoned. Despite calling and emailing repeatedly, I received no communication whatsoever from the instructor before the course. On the confirmed start date, the instructor simply did not show up. No explanation. No apology. Nothing.

I rearranged my entire work schedule twice for this course, losing valuable time and income, only to be met with silence and excuses. Even basic information such as start times had to be chased daily, and every promise of “someone will call you” amounted to absolutely nothing.

Getting a refund required persistent pressure, escalation and weeks of chasing, which should never be the case when a company fails to provide the service paid for. The lack of accountability and professional care is astonishing.

The refund does not erase the wasted time, stress or complete absence of reliability. This experience has made it clear that customer welfare and communication are simply not priorities for this company.

I would not recommend them to anyone.

Amazing instructor however terrible customer service

There was lost of problem with communication. On the week before my course they told me that they are struggling for instructor and might have to move some things around. It got until the day of my course and still hear nothing. During this time I was in contact with a " manager " who was full of promises and did not follow through. In the end my course got rescheduled to the following Monday. I did not find this out until 8pm the Sunday before. Due to all this messing about I was promised compensation but of course got nothing.

Once I got on the course my instructor Paul was incredible. He got me up to test standard so quickly and honestly recommend him as instructor. I passed my test today with not a single driving fault.

Overall I would say that the company themselves are not worth wasting your time over. However once you get on the course the instructor make up for it

paul paul paul… what a fantastic…

paul paul paul… what a fantastic instructor he is. Patient and kind and i’m so glad i had him as my instructor. I COULD NOT recommend him enough. I’m waiting for the intensive course to sort me out a test at the moment so hopefully it won’t be too long and hopefully 🤞 i pass first time. The experience is amazing. Thank you so much Paul! Thank you to the intensive course for hopefully sorting me out and helping me get my test booked for soon. Just relying on the company now for a test. Rylee

Paul the instructor was excellent

Paul the instructor was excellent - unfortunately the company he works for you receive loads of stress with lack of communication a really messed up booking he is autistic and we had intensive lessons for a reason but two days before found it was not going to happen and willy nilly lessons began which does not suit his style of learning - I threatened the company with action and we were scheduled to start with Paul - my word what an amazing guy he taught my son everything and my boy really liked him and today he passed first time with only one minor

I’m also really sorry to hear how stressful the lead-up to the course felt for you. We completely understand how important structure and predictability can be, especially when supporting an autistic learner who benefits from a clear, intensive format. It is never our intention for any customer to experience uncertainty or last-minute adjustments.

To give some context around what happened: we had originally allocated an instructor for the intensive format you booked, but due to unexpected changes in instructor availability we were unable to keep the original plan in place. Our team then worked through alternative options to avoid cancelling altogether, which is why lesson times began to shift while we tried to secure someone suitable. However, we fully appreciate that this was not ideal for your son’s preferred learning style, and we apologise for the disruption it caused.

Once the situation was escalated, we prioritised finding an instructor who could provide consistent lessons in a way that supported your son’s needs — which led to him being placed with Paul. We are very glad that the structured approach Paul delivered worked so well and helped your son pass confidently.

Although the outcome was positive, I am sorry for the stress the earlier part of the booking caused. We are actively reviewing this case internally to improve how we communicate changes and how we accommodate learners who require a specific teaching structure from the outset.

Tim was a FANTASTIC driving instructor

Tim was a FANTASTIC driving instructor. This was my third time trying to learn to drive and from our very first session he made me feel comfortable and capable of driving. He was so friendly and supportive and never let me doubt my own abilities. With his help i passed first time after years of being scared. I will forever be grateful i was given Tim to learn with and would highly recommend him. This review and rating is specifically for Tim the instructor and not a representation of how i feel about the company as i ran into many issues with them throughout the process. Tim however was a star. :)

Avoid if you expect customer service and getting what you paid for.

Avoid if you want professionalism and reliability. If you want communication and commitment to deliver what you have paid for without "hiccups" proceed with caution! If there was a grading lower than one star I would select it.

I usually enjoy putting reviews on and calling out exceptional service and rarely feel the need to have to write a review such as below, and believe me when I say this is an abridged version of the nightmare experience.

I booked and paid in full for a 5 day intensive course in August for my daughter to start in October. She apparently should have been almost test ready at the end of this. Her first experience of driving should have been a really exciting milestone. Instead, even up to the planned start day we were chasing for confirmation and updates.

On the day we waited and waited, and...no show! I contacted the company who didn't/wouldn't answer the phone after over an hour of trying, but communicated largely over text or email. They committed to a call from the Manager early afternoon as they were out teaching pupils in the morning. After constant chasing and threats of contacting the bank for fraud or police, ( I genuinely believed this was a scam company), I eventually got a call with the MD - 2 days later - when he deigned to call me. He committed to call me back the following day after investigating the issue, however after a further 2 days and me chasing seemed to want to brush it under the carpet as the lessons had started. He seemed to not appreciate this is not a one-off but a repeating trend through all the reviews. Im not optimistic that this will be addressed and processes reviewed, along with an understanding of how to deliver at the very least an average service to customers, who - afterall - are in the end paying the salaries of the limited number of personnel who work there.

The first lesson took place. After never sitting in a driving seat of a car on a public road, she drove to Bristol and back to Weston. Straight roads, not many junctions or roundabouts. She did have 4 of the 5 lessons and at the end still didn't understand basics such as clutch control, gear changes, junctions, roundabouts or reversing, etc. She, in essence had 16 hours of largely straight roads. Her confidence behind the wheel was non existent.

Now a new turn when trying to schedule the 5th lesson which was missed from day one. The 5th lesson was now unable to be rescheduled as the instructor had suddenly developed a health issue. The company have apparently less than a handful of their own employed instructors, and subcontract a lot to other businesses/instructors. I was offered one of those to complete the course, but with now no intention of any further engagement with them I had a verbal commitment to get 20% back from the MD. I then had to continually chase for that, and from a written confirmation days after my call wIth the MD who had advised it would be finalised by the end of the next working day, I finally got this refund, again after chasing relentlessly today, 3 weeks later.

In fairness the MD offered me some free lessons if the 5th were taken with them and I declined, advising him I would rather pay another company than go through any more hollow promises or failure to deliver at the very least an instructor on the scheduled day and/or on time, even if free of charge, with theirs.

After 16 hours of driving with this Company, I booked her with BSM in Weston-super-Mare. This experience is like night and day!!!

The instructor advised she had not even had the basics explained to her but now after just 10 hours with a different company she has progressed both in confidence and ability.

A waste of £800 for 16 hours of driving tuition apparently, with a lot of disruption and emotional stress for my 17 year old daughter thrown in free of charge.

No-one I had experience with in this Company from the MD down gave me any confidence to do what they said they would within the committed timeframe. It was like the tail wagging the dog throughout this unfortunate experience.

My summary is that if there is a worse example of customer service or client centricity I have experienced in my adult life I cannot recall one. Please do your research thoroughly and read and believe the reviews. People generally only call out the very good or the very poor for a reason.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have never moaned on any platform before but I have to worn other people.
I purchased a 7 day crash course on 16th July 2024!! 5 days out of the 7 had been used and I had been waiting for a driving test since February 2025 and emails were going back on forth saying that they couldn't get a test. After multiple emails and getting nowhere I had enough and asked for my money back as of MAY 2025. Multiple emails again saying the payment is on its way and nothing ever came through, I have tried to request it back through the bank and got nowhere, I am still trying now. I have been lied to the whole time, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY !

I paid for lessons in April of 2025. By July I was ready for my test. There is a currently a back log which I appreciate however it is now mid November and the school are yet to book my test. On top of this, it is impossible to get hold of anyone in the office and all I get is an email about once a month to say they are working on it. At this stage I will need to pay for extra lessons as it’s been so long since my last one. I understand that there is a high demand for tests at the moment but unfortunately the lack of contact from the office has forced me to write this review. Having the test booked by the school was part of the package I paid for so I would at expect least a bit more effort from the team in the office. It’s not good enough and I strongly advise people to book lessons elsewhere

Avoid. Unprofessional & Dishonest.

Absolutely terrible customer service by all members of staff.

I had booked my intensive driving course months in advance, and this company have contacted me a week or so prior to my scheduled dates to tell me the instructor was unavailable.

Understandably, this was upsetting as I had already booked a week off of work but, of course, these things do happen.
The member of staff, that I spoke with via text message had offered a refund of £200 from my original course cost as an apology for the inconvenience of having to reschedule. At the time, this felt both kind and fair, and I was happy with this resolution which was offered me on the 16th of September.

Following this I have had my lessons as organised by this company- I say “organised,” as that is effectively how this company works. They assist in connecting you with local driving instructors and effectively act as a middle man.

I have, since September, been chasing up the refund that I was offered both by email and by text to no avail. I have been referred back and forth between multiple members of staff- on one occasion speaking to the manager, who although reasonably pleasant, was completely unhelpful in resolving the issue at hand.

At every turn I’ve been passed back and forth between different members of staff, and told that someone should call me, or that things are being reviewed, or discussed. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to issue a refund that’s been outstanding for over 2 months. Nor does it take a genius to uphold some level of respect for their customers.

The team seem unable to keep their word, nor do they operate in a manner that I would deem to be either trustworthy, fair, or honest.

Further to this, the manager had also claimed that help with booking driving tests is also included in the price paid to the company, however I’ve not received any help with this, and have had to also pay for this out of pocket.

I recommend staying away- they have some great instructors, but you’re better off searching for them on your own terms and avoiding this company altogether.

Amazing

Amazing services, struggled finding a good instructor for a while then Tim reached out and helped me so much. He did everything he could to help me get ready for my test and worked around my schedule. I may of not passed first time but he never gave up on me. Will always be grateful!
