Changed a bit

Changed it since I went last, about 15 years ago... they took away the mini coronation street chocolate street! It's stupidly overpriced for what you get, the cafe food and you also have to pay extra for the photos taken, 12 for 1 photo...there's also queueing throughout the whole walk through tour...its a whole lot of queuing and expenses. The kids had a good time, besides the queues, and the demonstrations and mini movies make it more interesting for the kids to learn about the history and production of chocolate, it's pretty engaging for them. And they do give you about 3 chocolate bars each as you walk in.
They do have water stations which are handy throughout, inside and out, so just bring a bottle.

I personally would love if Cadbury started to sell chocolate in the old original style packaging, just for the novelty, and maybe even possibly early recipes of the drinking chocolate from when it first came to England etc or the first solid bar recipes... just little tasters...as chocolate has come along way, but I'd love to try the way it was first introduced.

Not worth the money. Go to ASDA instead!

Not worth the money! You spend most of the day queuing for for experiences that last five minutes at most, writing with chocolate, getting a photo taken a small little car ride then trying a small cup of melted chocolate. You’ll be better off walking round the ASDA researching the chocolate making process on google.

Absolute waste of money

Absolute waste of money. Really boring tour. 40 minute wait to go on the one ride. Outside park closed cause it was raining should still be open as its in ticket price. Rushed through activities. Shop was rubbish and food hall not big enough for everyone on a rainy day. Couldn't do 4D experience as the wait was too long and we had to get coach home.Cost me £120 for 3 people as it was a coach trip . Save your money and go get chocolate from supermarket..

Costly

We went with a teenagers. The place just felt tired. Staff didn't seem to be happy working there as they didn't interact with us! When you think of the cost against what we saw it wasn't worth the money.
It's a shame more hasn't been done inside to blow your mind with attractions seeing as it's Cadburys world.
We won't be going again!

Went today for the first time

Went today for the first time, we live in Plymouth so took us 3.15 hours to get there, we looked on YouTube first and looked ok, but when we got there was very disappointed! We took our 4 children ranging in ages from 2-15. Our 2 year old has a milk allergy but was assured before we got there that they would replace the normal chocolate with a substitute for her, so we thought great, got there and got told they didn't have any but the shop should, waited in the shop only to be told they didn't have any! When they were handing out a free Choc sample at the counter there was a sign saying ' if you have an allergy then please tell us and we will substitute it. We did this and the woman was clueless and said 'no we don't have anything else' hardly anything to do for the kids either, one ride and in the tour you arnt guided round you walk round it yourself but have to to que, im also heavily pregnant and was hardly any seating available anywhere. Also when collecting your 'free' samples on the way in you have to buy the bag, £1 or £2 option... very cheeky... There is a play area outside but that's about the only thing there is for little ones to do! Extremely dissatisfied and will certainly not be returning!

What an absolute waste of time

What an absolute waste of time, went with the whole family, cost over £100, for 6 of us, went when the kids were young, 26yrs ago, and was ok. As someone said largest Cadbury shop in the world, really, nothing that you couldn’t have bought in the supermarket, and for about the same price, to be honest a really boring day out.

Don’t waste your time and money

I visited cadburys world 25 years ago and it was great, re visited it again yesterday with my daughter and grandchildren and was very disappointed, everything about it was tacky, everyone thinks they get free chocolate but it’s covered in the price which was very expensive to get in and not worth it at all. My advice to anyone would be don’t waste your time and money.

As I had never been to Cadbury world…

As I had never been to Cadbury world before I was really looking forward to it and excited about going. I thought it we would have been shown the factory and everything, instead we were met by queues after queues, we ended up in a queue for about 50 minutes just to go on a car ride that to me didn't have much to do with Cadbury chocolate. The 4d cinema was average and I have been in much better ones, the very few demonstrations around the tour seemed very rushed, the best thing for me on the tour was seeing the gorilla with the drums. Definitely not worth the price Cadbury world charge to get in.

I visited Cadbury world quite recently…

I visited Cadbury world quite recently . Most of it was very good. However I feel that there was too many extras to buy as the day out was already expensive. After going on one of rides there were photos to buy. I was quite abruptly told by one of your members of staff that I couldn’t take a photo of the screen. Howver I had my phone out to use my credit card. I also feel that there should have been a sign up saying we couldn’t use our mobile phones ! I was left feeling quite embarrassed by this attitude from this member of staff. Perhaps he would be better off in the actually chocolate factory.

Disappointing

We visited Cadburys World last week, it was so hot outside at the park however there were no places to get a drink, the kiosks were all closed, the ice cream van was closed, both vending machines were out of order it made the trip very uncomfortable! The experience was average at most, the staff we encountered appeared to be very unhappy at work, not one spoke to us in a friendly manor, while tempering the chocolate the staff there literally looked like they were being forced to work! Considering the day coat us more than £150 I would have expected a little smile from staff! Sadly I probably would not recommend this day out.

A good day out for the kids .

We took the kids to Cadbury World. Disney land it ain't. Our grand kids enjoyed themselves and that's all that matters . Lots of free chocolate. They slept well that night . Either exhaustion or over did the chocolates? A nice experience. Unlike Coventry building society who used a forged mortgage to steal an OAPs home. The court case caused him to stop eating and taking his medication. He died a scared broken old man. Coventry building society does it really take 10 years to show him the unsigned mortgage he never signed?

Will never go again

Will never go again. I visited on easter Sunday with my 2 children and partner. How disappointing it was. The worlds biggest cadburys shop wasn't that big and i was so disgusted at how empty the shop was, what was there you can just buy anyway from a supermarket, it wasn't what i expected, i thought they would sell products you can't get any where else. My local b&m store sell all different flavours of cadburys products so it would have been better just going there!
The staff were friendly and helpful but the whole experience was just boring and a waste of a day. The pictures you see online to the actual experience are completely different. The playground area was just a normal park, the food wasn't that good, so you would be better off taking your own food. The 45 minute tour was not interesting at all. The part where you can write your name in chocolate on a worktop wasn't fun, especially when we had to share a table with another family there just wasn't enough room , so we exited that room. Queuing up to have a picture taken felt uncomfortable, fair enough the covid rules are relaxed but other people were just basically too close and breathing in my ear, it felt dirty and so uncomfortable. The toilets were dirty and smelly.
Considering it was easter Sunday i saw no easter eggs at all! It was a waste of money! But at least i have experienced it and know not to return again.

Overall - not worth the money

Took my granddaughter today. Tickets are overpriced (probably reflected by the fact it was not busy), much meaner than they used to be with free samples and very limited range of chocolate to buy in shop compared with the range they produce.

A nice family day out

After reading a lot of bad reviews about Cadbury world I felt I wanted to give a more positive review! I went today with 4 of my children, aged from 9 up to 16 and we had an amazing time! We loved the 4D cinema experience and the children were very excited about the free chocolate!! My elder daughter appreciated the chocolate writing especially as she is a budding cook. I thought the staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. I felt very safe, lots of hand sanitiser and everything was lovely and clean. For what I paid, I thought it was good value for money. We stayed about 4 1/2 hours because we weren't able to use the play park due to the weather. To be honest had it not been so cold and wet we would have stayed a lot longer but we were rushing about. I admit I wouldn't go again in a hurry because I don't think everyone would enjoy it as much the second time round but I genuinely think there was something for everyone. The only thing I do think lets it down are the prices in the cafe. We took a picnic (which we ate in the car like true brits thanks to the downpours!!) but if I'm honest they're probably on a parr with other attraction.

Refund for non attendance due to covid.

Beware of getting a refund if you couldnt make it, even for having covid.
I booked four tickets but only three went as the fourth had contracted covid so had to self isolate. Mentioned to the booking line in advance and was told it would be fine a refund will be made. After visiting I queried the refund to be told all four tickets had been redeemed and therefore no refund due. This was not the case so i escalated it to a complaint to be told they had made an error and a refund was due despite them checking twice??. Waited two weeks for the refund and still no call back. I contacted them again to be told the lady who i was emailing is on annual leave for a further two weeks. The email address i was emailing was the main one, not personal, so surely was being monitored. Eventually i called and got through and got the refund.
Moral of the complaint is get the refund before you go or whilst you are there or you would be fobbed off.
