This trip was really a dream come through for me!! It took me some time to get time off from work, so I was just too late for the "normal" trip to Japan. Then Rich came up with this splendid idea: "why not join up in Japan, for the second part of the trip?" And then it all started...So, I joined them in Tokyo and off we were to Phantom-town Hyakuri!! Not only could we still see some phabulous Phantom from 301 and 501 Hikotai, but also some Phantoms from 302 Hikotai were still performing their phinal operational phlights!! On top of that, we had 5 minutes of (mild) snow and phinally, I was able to take a couple of pictures of a "Phantom in the snow". The big smile is still on my face !!

What is offered to you as an amateur aviation photographer in terms of photographic opportunities is amazing. Simply spoiled for choice, while some mighty be considered expensive, if you can afford it, why not? Looking forward to trying the more exotic air-to-air shoots when the current crisis is over.

I have been on three overseas COAP trips, Bulgaria, Poland and Japan. All were extremely well organised by Rich and Steve, both very talented photographers with a wealth of photographic and travel experience. In almost all cases they will have visited the destinations many times previously, so the best viewing arrangements will be in place and on-base visits are often set up. The atmosphere is always friendly and a large part of the enjoyment comes from sharing experiences with a group of like-minded enthusiasts--including techniques, information and beer! I recommend a COAP trip unreservedly.

If you are into your aircraft photography then these are the guys to get involved with. I've only been on two trips so far but both were meticulously organised with perfect photo opportunities all the time. A huge part of the trips are also the social scene in the evenings where successes and failures are discussed. The wealth of knowledge and experience everyone has is a huge bonus for a newbie such as myself. Give them a try, you won't regret it!

Having done a couple of UK events with COAP it has been a real pleasure learning from Rich and Steve. The friendly, helpful ethos, amazing access to aircraft and mentorship from the COAP team have been excellent. Through COAP I have met and shared tips and photoshoots with some of the most talented aviation photographers in the world and seen the standard of my own photography improve massively. I always look forward to future events with them, they are well organised, well managed and great fun and I would highly recommend them to any level of Photographer.

If you want to have the best aviation photography experiences then you really need to look no further. COAP have years of experience in running air-to-air photography shoots and trips to exotic locations for capturing the best aviation images possible. Rich and Steve are fantastic guys and are very happy to share their knowledge so that you end up capturing the best images from your trip!

An awesome team of photographers, Rich and Steve are knowledgeable, awesome to work with and always happy to lend a hand and a bit of advice to anyone asking.

Naturally their imagery speaks for itself, but past the images this is a group of people who’ll always make any trip a joy from beginning through to end.

I worked with them on the GR4’s farewell, and they were always happy to assist and advise and it made for my most memorable images to date.

For years ...there has been a Tutorials "tab" that has been empty with a note saying coming soon. Years..my suggestion is either fill it or get rid of it....it's misleading and untruthful....."coming soon" is a promise unfilled

COAP can be simply defined as a company which provides once in a lifetime experiences. I have travelled with COAP multiple times and each time has been an absolute blast, this is not just because of the items on the agenda, but because of the volume of passion and customer care you receive from the COAP staff during these trips, my second trip they tailored exactly to my needs as I was a novice in travelling abroad on my own. As well as the amazing hosts, are the groups of people that you meet and travel with during these trips. They all share the same passion and interests, the stories that have been shared whilst just at the table after a shoot or at breakfast are always mind blowing. The levels of photography vary in the group, which provides an experience like no other, you can learn so much from these fellow Avgeeks and also share your tricks with them. People say that COAP is pricey, but I truly believe in you get what you pay for, the hard work that goes into arranging any kind of on base/air2air assignment is beyond belief. I was a university student during all my COAP experiences and I managed to get on trips, I couldn't be more glad that I did. From all my trips with COAP, I met friends that I can now call friends for life, who I stay in close contact and attend airshows at home or abroad with, I wouldn't know any of them if it wasn't for COAP, which I am truly grateful for. I also call Rich a close friend due to his level of passion and knowledge he has shared with me since my first COAP trip. Even when he is mad busy, he still provides advice when needed to this date! In conclusion, COAP is a company built around solid values of true consumer service and to provide people with opportunities that may never come to hand ever again. I can truly call COAP a catalyst for why I have gained my experiences as an aviation photographer.

The events I have attended have been very enjoyable and in the main well organised.

A very professional setup, amazing trips, doing stuff you'd only dream of in fact making aviation dreams come true.

COAP is really the best in class in organisation of aviation trips. They are very proactive in communication.Everything is done to put the photographers in the best conditions.
If you want the best of the best, you absolutely must choose them.

Traveling with coap is a true joy. They make all the hard logistics easy, and it’s a true joy to sit down with them for a meal at the end of a brilliant day of photography. They amazingly work through all the contingencies of changing plans when weather or mechanical challenges get in the way. Worth every penny!
