I have used this company for some time and have not had a bad experience. As cheap as the town shops without the hassle of carrying home with plenty of choice. I have often got an order back the day after I have made it, except when they changed delivery company for a short time.

Repeatedly refused to provide a return postage label to return their own brand suet blocks which are so hard that the birds can't get through them.

best place to get your mealworms from without a shadow of doubt. service is quick, delivery is quick, nice discounts, rewards, you name it it's here. what more can you want.?

We have a subscription for mealworms and is works very well. The worms arrive on time ,very well packed and delicious as always….the birds tell us that!

I have a 3 monthly subscription for sunflower seeds and suet pellets. I always get an email at least three days before I am charged and the delivery arrives very promptly after that. The birds love their food and nothing is wasted. It is excellent quality.

When I told them that my birds weren’t eating the suit blocks I bought from them, they weren’t helpful. I wanted to return them as not fit for purpose but they were unwilling to send a return label.

If I was returning them for a spurious reason I would be happy to pay for return postage but as my birds avoided them, that is down to the product itself.

I asked for a postage label, got no reply so sent this…..

You haven’t replied to this. I suppose these are made for wild birds who will eat anything in winter, however it tastes. I have zebra finches, Bengalese and African silverbills. Also a variety of canaries.

They all eat the other suit blocks I have, berry and fly, but they don’t seem to like yours.

That however isn’t the issue.

Your terse responses tell me that you have no intention to make a return easy, in fact you give the impression that you think if you ignore me, I will go away.

I judge a company by the way it responds to a problem. The more helpful, the more I spend. A dismissive attitude, like yours makes me find the feedback sites and post exactly how I feel about what has happened.

When I find one, I will post this message.

Ordered for my mum who is in pallative care in nursing home. Her last wish is to be able to feed the birds. Ordered 2nd order because first order was cancelled but after today's experience there will be no more orders. 2nd order was £47.65. 1 tub of sunflower hearts all over cardboard box . Asked them to replace it and they refused telling me to scoop up sunflower hearts from cardboard box . Tub was split , contents went all over box that they had been shipped in. This is not acceptable behaviour from this firm. Item should be replaced.

Been using them for years, can't fault their service at all, usually have my order the next day! Any problems are sorted quickly, I use their live chat as calling them is NOT free.

Ordered a bird feeder. When arrived the seed did not sit in the feeding area so I returned. They sent me a return label then refunded. The item cist 9.99 postage 3.75. They only refunded me £6.75 so they've charged me for the return!!!! And the item is faulty!!! And not fit fir purpose. I've asked for the full amount back. We will see but all I'll say us.. Don't buy the cream bird squirrel proof feeder as its bird proof too!!! And their customer service stinks! Will NEVER Ever use again and I spend a Lot on bird food etc. Disgraceful service

Sent me the wrong product then charged me £4.07 for the call to rectify their mistake! They are also now using fulfilment by Amazon.
They used to be a decent company, I will not be purchasing from them again.

Why does Chubby Mealworms charge an extortionate amount to contact them by phone.
They use 0845 561 1181. The caller is charged an Access charge and a Service Charge.
Will now cancel my subscription and use Amazon for my orders. Sneaky

I have used Chubby mealworms with no problem for 4 years, ordering at regular intervals. It seemed sensible to recently set up a subscription and I did for my sack of mealworms to be delivered every 2 months. The first delivery worked fine and I made a note on my calender when the next delivery was due. I received my mealworms. Three days later I received a text from Evri to say my parcel would arrive and i was confused as to what it could be. Another 5kg sack of mealworms arrived, which I was charged another £42.74 for! I really didnt want to spend over £80 in one month on mealworms.
I communicated through the typed box and was told I had altered my subscription and if I wanted to return the extra sack I would have to pay postage. I explained I certainly had not altered my subscription but to no avail.
I said i would cancel my subscription and this was done.
I felt this was very shoddy behaviour to a loyal customer.
I sent an email detailing my experience and received no reply.
I will go elsewher next time.
