Always been very happy with my purchases, however my last batch of suet to go insect balls fell way below the usual standard. The balls were flat and stuck together in clumps making it impossible to fit them in the the feeder. Will think twice before ordering again.

I really don't know what to say to be honest. I've been using chubbys for a year or two now, I tend to place large orders periodically. Delivery has always been super prompt and I've had no issues until my last order, where one of the bird feeders arrived broken I sent photos they sent me a pre paid returns label and even gave me the address of the nearest returns location to me and they shipped me a new feeder straight away even though I couldn't return the original one for a few days. The second feeder arrived broken aswell so I asked if I could return it for a refund as although a beautiful feeder I just don't think they travel well, they said that's no problem sent me a new returns label stated they would issue a refund as soon as they can see it's on its way back and this is where I've hit a problem with them as it's now the 23rd January I took the parcel to the yodel drop off on the 14th the tracking states it was collected by Yodel on the 15th and they've been in possession of the item since the 18th and yet I still don't have a refund or any communication about my refund. I really hope it's just a case of they are busy and it's a genuine mistake but seeing as this is the first time I've had any real dealings with customer service at CM I'm unsure if this is routine behaviour or not. It is a shame because I do really like using them and their products and would hate to have to find someone new for all my wildlife feeding needs.

I will come back and update once I eventually hear back or not from them as I want to give them a fair chance as up until now I couldn't have faulted them.

Edited to add as I forgot at the time. As soon as I placed this review I suddenly had contact from them about the refund, even though I had emailed them already directly days before placing this original review. No real explanation as to why the radio silence but I did eventually get my money back.

Excellent service and competitive prices. Delivered very promptly the next day via a tracked service. Will definitely use again if their prices remain competitive.

'Next Day' delivery they say, so I waited in all day, I paid £5.99 for this service and NOTHING happened. They email me to say how great I am (yuk) but their service is (carp!) I email them the next day and they tell me that they've processed the order and that the 'next day' service applies to THEM! So that's all right then?? I've always been suspicious of websites who gush over their 'patients' and yet again I've been proven right; AVOID unless threatened with physical violence.

I ordered a tub of mealworms and soon after received a confirmation email to say that they had been shipped, this also contained a Royal Mail Tracking number. When the goods had failed to arrive I checked the Royal Mail tracking which stated that it would only be updated when they had attempted delivery. I tried the company phone numbers provided but they were either unanswered or the wrong number. I therefore sent an email enquiry. Initially I was told that the goods had not actually been shipped on the date stated and not until 5 days later. When I asked why the initial despatch date had been wrongly advised I was told that I must have been referring to an order confirmation. I sent them a copy of the email and they then accepted that the goods had actually been despatched on the date originallystated and ‘Hopefully they might arrive tomorrow'. After much communication I am no further forward as to what’s happened to the package and have given up with them. I’ve now opened a grievance with Paypal on the assumption that the package is lost in the post. I will certainly not be using this company again in the future

Really happy. Ordered duck food and some suet cakes for birds. All arrived quickly (as they said, it was dispatched the next working day and here the next!) Impressed that I didn't have to pay extra for the fast delivery. Great prices.

Products came quickly, in perfect condition and exactly what I wanted. Birds will be very happy! I would recommend and order again.

I have been using chubby mealworms for a while now and they don't disappoint.

I ordered mealworms and ‘Chubby’s Won’t Grow’ wild bird food. Delivery prompt. Mealworms loved by the birds. The wild bird food is advertised as not growing when falling to the ground from bird feeders. Not true! The ground is now overgrown with sprouting bird food, nothing like they claim. The larger food items (about the size of a cornflake) are not eaten by any visiting bird. Definitely not as advertised. I sent an honest review to their own website which they didn’t bother to publish, probably because it was a negative review. Why are all their website published reviews only positive? Decide for yourself. My advice avoid this product.

Ordered, dispatched and delivered within 24hrs. A wide selection of insect-based products at a good price. I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend for anyone who feeds their local wildlife - my resident seagull, sparrows and starlings are certainly appreciating the mealworms, and the ones I bought for human consumption weren't too bad either!

They ( the mealworms ) are imported from China. Why do we import. Because they are cheap !!!
