The train ride was perfect, comfy seating and lovely views, all the staff were very polite and friendly, my food was perfect (chicken) but my partner had the roast beef which was very tough, we did tell the waitress and she said she would inform the chef, we also heard a couple of other people saying the beef was very tough

Absolutely fabulous time at the Churnet Valley Murder Mystery night. The steam train is stunning and the staff who served us the delicious 3 course meal were delightful.
I can’t praise the actors enough - they were so much fun and we really felt part of it. We would definitely do it again!

From start to finish, the whole experience was fantastic! Staff were very helpful, and the food service was great! Would definitely like to do this again, and have recommended it to other people to try.

Friendly welcome to station and carriage. Great table service and delicious breakfast. The train was gorgeous, so well maintained. The journey was smooth and the countryside views delightful. Thank you to all the volunteers for a wonderful morning.

What a great trip and company with strangers on our 4 table, we hit it off straight away and have swapped numbers. Strangers on trains, should be a film. Staff wonderful and attentive,
Food excellent although it could have been a bit hotter, didn’t spoil anything.

A fantastic experience and very nice pie super

We had a lovely morning on the breakfast train. It was very well organised by the Churnet Valley team and nothing was too much trouble for guests enjoying the experience.

Lovely steam locomotive ride grandson loved it despite the rain. Well run with friendly staff. Tasty jacket spuds. Highly recommend

Care, friendliness and professionalism by all members and volunteers met from the start of the experience to the end.

Superb, well organised evening. We went on the pie and mash train from Froghall on Friday and had a lovely evening, and the food was great too - just like last year when we did it the first time. Looking forward to trying out one of the other dining experiences in due course.

The lady in the Tea Room went above and beyond.

My wife and myself went on the Sunday dining train, a birthday present for ourselves, a special birthday treat.
Have travelled before on Bacon Butty train, thought we would try dining.
from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. Had a tea in cafe before travel.
Boarded train and wow, so nostalgic.
within minutes staff members were welcoming us on board and seeing if we needed anything.
Onto journey and food being served, military precision, by all members (volunteers).
Food amazing, Liz and I both had tomato red pepper soup really tasty. Beef dinner. Main course arrived "massive" portion, nice and hot. Puddings really tasty.
recommending to friends already. Be back soon

This was a gift from my work colleagues on my recent retirement and was an absolutely delightful experience!Lovely surroundings, staff brilliant and the food was wonderful! We had the Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it! Hopefully we will return and have no hesitation in recommending the experience.

Enjoyed the train ride, the scenery wasn't as great as we expected.
Itsnot just coffee and cake, we were offered bacon/sausage baps! How did we know! Staff were fine happy and helpful.
