Avoid – my experience was extremely concerning

I wish I had checked independent reviews before ordering from Clara London.

The garment I received was of extremely poor quality and bore no Clara London branding whatsoever — no Clara London label, no branded tag and no branded packaging. It arrived in a generic plastic bag and, in my opinion, was nothing like the quality or branded retail product presented by the website.

When I requested a full refund, I was initially offered 25% to keep the item. After I refused, the offer increased to 50%, and then to 60%.

If I wanted a 100% refund, I was told that I had to pay for tracked international postage myself and return the garment to an address in Yiwu, Zhejiang, China.

I found this particularly concerning given the “London” branding and the fact that the garment itself contained no Clara London branding.

I have retained the garment, packaging, photographs, screenshots and all of the correspondence documenting the successive 25%, 50% and 60% refund offers and the Chinese return address.

After this happened, I discovered that other customers have reported very similar experiences, and Which? has also investigated Clara London as part of an article about “bogus boutiques”.

Based on my own experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing from this website research independent reviews first and understand where returns may actually have to be sent.

Awful experience. Very poor quality clothing and not from expected location. Awful customer service who don’t even uphold their own returns policy for ‘defective’ items. Nightmare. Do not purchase goods from here!

Total scam website . The dress came today and is nothing like the picture on the website . I have asked for a refund but now there saying it takes about 3-4 weeks for that and i have to pay for the return . Very upsetting indeed . DO NOT buy from this website you will be very disappointed with anything you order . Scammers !!!!

Ordered a xxl men’s gilet, there is no way this item would fit, total waste of money, arrived in a small packet which gave away how small it was, I would give it a minus score if possible!
Only good side is that my wife can use it for walking the dog.

Avoid do not order! I ordered trousers advertised as a 28‑inch waist, but the pair I received measured 34 inches and looked different from the photos. The quality was awful.

When I contacted Clara London, they repeatedly tried to offer partial refunds instead of resolving the issue properly. The offers started low and eventually went up to 50%, but only if I kept the item, even though it was unusable.

They also insisted I pay international return shipping, despite branding themselves as “London”. This made the return process feel deliberately difficult.After seeing similar complaints online about incorrect sizing, poor quality, and overseas returns, I decided to go through my bank and use a chargeback instead.

Overall, the experience was misleading and frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend ordering from Clara ‘London’.

Do not shop at Clara London. The description on there website is not the true reflection of the clothing. The clothing is cheap poor quality.
I’ve messaged them for a refund and they don’t reply. They want you to ship overseas. To prevent you returning, as those fees are expensive. Avoid buying from Clara London. It’s not a bargain it’s poor quality and poor customer service.

Firstly the name Clara London is misleading they are international and delivery took 14 days.

Secondly the dress I ordered is not the same and the quality is shein quality. It is incorrect.

Thirdly they are being extremely difficult with returning it. I have requested their return instructions several times and they keep offering a percentage cash back instead.

Raise a dispute with your bank if you are having the same issues with a refund/return. Their own return policy states they will provide a label to return if the item is incorrect. They absolutely will not do this and they won’t explain why either, just a generic response about paying yourself.

I bought 2 Men’s XXL Vintage Zip Jackets from 'Clara London', and the day after I decided to do a search for reviews on this 'shop' where I read how other people had experienced the exact scam that I was about to suffer, but it was unfortunately too late to cancel the order.
The items took about 2 weeks to arrive and when they did they were made of extremely poor quality material and completed to a very poor standard, and would be lucky if they were a medium size, and the only indication that they were supposedly XXL was that they had literally simply had an 'XXL' label sewn in that was so badly done that it looked like a 10 year had done the sewing (which unfortunately might have been the case for all I know!).
I requested a full refund but instead was offered the choice of either accepting a 25% refund and 'keep' the jackets or return the jackets to their main overseas warehouse (i.e. China no doubt) and that I would be responsible for paying the international return shipping fee and was 'warned' how items might get delayed or 'damaged during transit' and how 'international returns can be costly', all of which is part of the 'scripted scam to force you to accept the 25%.
Clara London is just a total scam and needs closed down. If you don't believe me look at the other 1 star reviews (i.e. the real reviews from other people like me). The 5 star reviews are total BS and obviously written by their associates and can be ignored. Anyone that has bought anything from this scam outfit are going to have been disappointed! Also, Google 'Which review bogus boutiques Clara London scam' to see for yourself what a bunch of crooks they really are!
I am just going to have to take this as an expensive life lesson which is to 'look at reviews before you buy'. I hope this has been helpful!

Paid for my purchase and have never received it. Asked for a refund, but not received this either.

Goods purchased on 28th August not received for a bee design laundry basket...do not buy its a scam, it won't let me enter the date purchased on here so I have put it into my review.Just adding to this as its all complete bullshit...now we have a failed delivery attempt despite a ring doorbell and clear sign on our door saying where to leave parcels.Don't let yourself be conned by this company, rules made up as they go along, all they want is your money never any intention to give any goods.Stay well clear.

I bought orthopaedic sandals online advertised as made of leather, reduced from £90 to £45. The photo looked good, but what arrived 10 days later were cheap and lightweight,
made from poor quality synthetic materials. When I asked to return them, I was told to send them back to China at my expense. Clara London is committing fraud. Beware!

I bought 2 pairs of sandals, which were very poor quality. The velcro on the straps was a white, meaning if you didn't do the sandals up at their tightest fit, white showed prominently against the sandal colour. I requested a return for refund, knowing I would have to pay the postage, but was only then told they had to be returned to China. I went for a 25% refund without returning. I have worn one pair of sandals for only a matter of days, and some of the trim is already coming off.

These reviews and names are obviously fake - Why do you allow this Trustpilot ??
