Ran out of gas friday night with guests coming for dinner Sunday. This was the only place on a saturday to get a 47kg cylinder locally. The guys were very kind with unloading/loading and kindly changed the tails for me as struggling with my wrist. Also ordered a 2nd cylinder for delivery. Brilliant service. Thanks guys!
AE Prentice Fuel Merchants are such a helpful local firm. They are very prompt when you need an urgent delivery of propane cylinders and are more than happy to change over the cylinders for the customer.
These guys had the presence of mind to do a leaflet drop last year and I am so glad they did. From my first contact with them I have found them to be friendly, reliable and above all excellent value. It is so refreshing in current times to be dealing with a proper old school family business who value customer service. We could not speak highly enough of them and long may it continue.

19kg propane delivered and connected less than 55 minutes after I ordered it.
Driver was already in my area and had a spare bottle on his vehicle otherwise it would have been next day.

Coke is terrible, burns to quick and creates clinker in large quantities. Found out that this had been reviewed by BABA (whom I’m a member of) and they had said it was not good and had spoken to the company about this, but was told by company said to me that two local blacksmiths had said it was good (no names). Feel very let down as to the response (when I phoned I overheard somebody shouting in the background that he bagged it himself and it was what it was, not impressed) and only given £100 refund as a gesture of good will. This will not last half the time a normal tonne does and is way too small for forges and as a long time customer this customer I feel that this has been dumped on me so they can clear their ‘bad’ stock of coke. I have reviewed and put this to BABA as my opinion on this product as bad to terrible and not to be used.
I will not be using the company until they source a proper fuel and then I will be cautious about spending my money with them. 1/10

Hello,
Before you placed an order for a tonne of forge coke, you were informed that it wasn’t from the same supplier. When you rang to complain you told us that you hadn’t read the description (which clearly indicates the smaller size of this product) but you had just assumed it was the same size as before. At this point we offered to have the whole pallet returned to us, with a full refund for yourself, or we offered you £100, as a good will gesture – you choose to take the £100 (which you have received). This was your choice, as we were more than happy to have the pallet returned to us, but you decided to keep it. We do have the names of two local blacksmiths who have tried and since bought the product, but you didn’t ask for their names. This forge coke was sold to us by LCC from Northern Ireland a large importer of coal and coke, and they are not aware of any trade company testing this product.
