1 star – Incorrect assessment of water damage

Very disappointed with Console Doctor. My son’s controller was sent to them for repair through my Domestic & General insurance after it suffered water damage. As you would expect, the water had caused corrosion inside the controller and the buttons had become very stiff.

Console Doctor then claimed that the controller appeared to have been glued, which was simply not true. Nobody had glued it, my children do not have access to glue, and as an adult I certainly wouldn’t put glue inside a games controller. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Their assessment resulted in Domestic & General initially rejecting the claim, so I then had to challenge the decision and explain what had actually happened.

I’m giving Console Doctor one star because I’m extremely disappointed that genuine water damage/corrosion could be incorrectly assessed as someone deliberately putting glue into the controller.

PS5 repaired under insurance was hassle free. Console picked up by courier on time. Good communication from Console Doctor throughout and very helpful too with the whole process. Once repaired and tested the console was returned by courier. Excellent service throughout and I would highly recommend Console Doctor.

Kept well informed about each stage of the repair

We recently used console Doctor as part of our insurance on my step sons oculus and it was picked up, repaired and delivered back with us in 4 days. Very fast, kept up to date and couldn't recommend enough.

Fast repair and fast delivery, kept in touch throughout

I had Argos care and they used the console doctor as the person for repair, I sent the controller off and received updates directly from the console doctor themselves every step of the way. When the controller was repaired they sent it via DPD who hadn't actually delivered my controller yet, it was taking some time so I reached out to the console doctor to see if they could get in touch on there end with DPD. I got a quick reply saying they would then found out DPD lost my controller somehow and without issue console doctor sent a replacement controller out on express delywhich I received a couple days later. Honestly can't fault the console doctor as they handled everything as fast as possible and without issue. Considering it was a dual sense edge aswell I was delighted to say the least that it got sorted and really appreciate that I didn't need to do a back and fourth, the only fault I can give is to DPD cos how do U just loose a parcel, but console doctor themselves where great on there end and would happily use them in the future for any other repairs.

Always quick service and items returned safely

This is my second time using console doctor and once again an amazing service. Very quick repair and got my parcel sent back to me very quickly too. Unfortunately when it arrived my controller was missing but they have been amazing in dealing with the issue and have dealt with DPD so I don't have too and when DPD started taking too long they sent me a new controller instead
