I bought travel insurance for my friend and made a stupid error with the name, I called to update the mistake on the same day and despite me having bought the policy which had my email as the contact the advisor wouldnt speak to me, it's not GDPR when I originated the policy ....... received the 'amended' policy and the first name is still the same it hasn't been updated

Clear quick & helpful

Everything with the co-op is recommended!.

Mistake by coop meant I had to call.

Call was answered quickly although the menu press 1 for, 2 for……. was not working. Call was soon picked up however and issue resolved for me.

Hahahaha I didn’t realise co-op was also into comedy as their quote is absolutely hilarious. £381 for the year when more than is £41. More than also not overcharging for add ons. I would strongly RECOMMEND EVERYONE LOOK ELSEWHERE if you’re attached to what you earn and don’t want to throw it foolishly away SHOP AROUND!!

Good price for ongoing illness

My vehicle was repaired following a claim through Co-op’s recommended garage, only for it to be returned with what appears to be £1,000s worth of additional damage that wasn’t there beforehand.

I emailed Co-op on 3rd August to raise a formal complaint and have since followed up three further times. I have received no response whatsoever - not even an acknowledgment that my complaint has been received.

Co-op, please respond to my complaint urgently before I have no choice but to take this further. Your own website states that you aim to respond within 3 working days — I’m asking for a response, not a resolution, and I’m still waiting.

My Dobermann was a healthy 4 year old when he was diagnosed with brain stem lesions caused by meningitis.
His treatment involved intensive chemo sessions, scans and steroids, and gave him an extra 11 months of a quality of life.
The Co Op were superb, paying out up to the limit of the policy. Come renewal time, the payments didn’t increase too much and he continued to be covered for the pre existing condition and treatments. Direct payments were made promptly, communication was first class and after sadly having to say goodbye to my boy, they advised me that due to his age, the cover included payment of his purchase price- a not inconsiderable amount.
If I get another dog, the Co Op will be my first option. They removed a concern from a very distressing experience.

Ease of use, clear information and cost effective

My mum died whilst I was on holiday in France over Easter. I flew back to Heathrow and caught a train home, to be with my brother and start making funeral arrangements. I have only claimed for my travel expenses, as I left the family in France with the car, and I haven’t claimed for any curtailment of the holiday. Still, as of August 11th, I haven’t received any payment. The last communication from Co-op was on 10th July, asking for a copy of the death certificate. It has usually taken about 4 weeks for any communication from me to get a response- long enough for the claim link to have expired. This has been going on since I started the claim in April and has just added a lot of additional work and worry to what is already a sad and stressful situation. Not there when you need them, in my experience. Awful.
