As Technology advisor for many companies

As Technology advisor this is in honest words a vulture company, there services are lacking in every aspect.
phone lines for VoIP are expensive even though in operating cost is less for any company, there internet is the worst in the country of Greece with the services having half upload for 70% of their contracts even for companies/businesses.

Even their business gifts are shit now, and most of their work force are just ex-public workers leeches holding on for life while doing nothing, most of their phone lines are now also either AI or an external company.

If you are in Greece

If you are in Greece, and you're contemplating getting a service proivder, AVOID Cosmote at all costs.

They have zero customer service, deceiving tactics, such as promising services which you apply for and then never acting upon them (I have been waiting for the enabling of my new connection for the past 4 months now) and do not deserve your money. Literally try anything else, but heed - the servces in Greece are more akin a Mafia than real competetive companies.

Christmas "gift"

Their Christmas "gift" of unlimited data for 7 days only applies if you top up your phone and you get free data for the top up, so what's the point?? Always used this company but there are no incentives given for a user to keep using it. Also their mobile data connection is rubbish!!

Zero support and shady business

Zero support.
Moreover the app can take your money you have parked in there for auto renew purposes, with no warning, never to be claimed again.
Awful experience and Shady business.

Very bad experience

Worst provider with worst support at the time I write this 12/2025.
Their site does anything to prevent you from accessing support, very misleading. Dead links, third party advertisements.

COSMOTE ΣΥΝΔΕΣΗ ΟΠΤΙΚΗΣ ΙΝΑΣ

Τεχνικο Τμημα COSMOTE Νικαιας, Ό,ΤΙ ΧΕΙΡΟΤΕΡΟ. Ειμαστε 2 μηνες απο 19/10 χωρις ιντερνετ και τηλεφωνο μετα απο βλαβη. Ερχεται τεχνικος στις 21/10 και εντοπιζει το θεμα, αναφερει να μην γινει επιδιορθωση στο καλωδιο χαλκου, καθως δεν θα συνεχισει να το συντηρει η Cosmote και να παμε σε οπτικη ινα που εχει και ο διπλανος. Στις 20/11 με κλησεις μας καθημερινες στο 13888 μας ενημερωνουν οτι υπαρχει συστημικο θεμα στην αιτηση και δεν εχει προχωρησει, την βαζουν σε προτεραιοτητα λενε και ξαναστελνουν στο Τεχνικο Τμημα των Οπτικων Ινων να ενημερωσουν Συνεργειο Εργολαβων. Μας λενε κιολας οτι η συνδεση παιρνει 1 με 2 μηνες και ειναι εντος χρονικου οριου. Στις 10/12 μας καλουν οτι κανονισαν σε εργολαβο να ερθει να το δει. Ερχεται εργολαβος, φανερα αδιαφορος να δει το σπιτι με τα πολλα λεει οτι χρειαζεται να μπει ενα καλοδιο πλαστικο για να

Even one star is to much

Even one star is to much, if you try to end your contract you can call what you want. Nobody can help you and they promise to call you back but they never do!! I have €60,- of phone costs and stil waiting for the call.
A bunch of thieves that’s what they are!

5G internet

We had Cosmote internet through the landline and max speed was 9-10 mbs which was better than nothing and for many years we had nothing. Recently read about the Cosmote 5G offering and decided to give it a go. It took a while for their engineers to come and set it up, they spent a long time siting the receiver to get a good line of sight to the nearest mast. We have now gone from 10 mbs to 300+ mbs and it brilliant. I would strongly recommend OTE engineers to do the installation rather than DIY or others. Whilst OTE have their issues on this occassion from shop to installation I can't fault them. 10/10

I have been trying to cancel my…

I have been trying to cancel my subscription for 3 weeks. Still they do not give me that call back to do it as they always say over the phone. This is not acceptable and dont expect me to pay another month just because You refuse to give me my right to cancel the line. The worst service ever! I would have totally avoid it if I knew the scamming nightmare they are.

Mishandling data

10 years after the GDPR legislation and this 'leading' telecommunications company is sending contracts for online signatures, with no option to edit the contract, no option to upload any document BUT, at the same time, options to store and distribute your personal data to use for advertising purposes are opted in by DEFAULT. In a telecoms company there is no one aware that this is illegal? and requires affirmative acceptance?
Do you even have a data protection department and representatives?
Usual non-compliant processes from Greek companies.

Τραγική εξυπηρέτηση πελατών

Τραγική εξυπηρέτηση πελατών. Καλείς να πεις το πρόβλημα σου σε τηλεφωνητή, κ μετά στο κλείνουν λόγω μεγάλης αναμονής. Πρέπει να κάνεις τα ίδια βήματα 100 φορές κ να προσεύχεσαι να σταματήσουν να τα ξύνουν κ να σε βοηθήσουν. Το chat εξυπηρέτησης για πέταμα. Ο μόνος λόγος που θα ασχοληθούν μαζί σου κσι θα σε έχουν στα όπα όπα ειναι όταν θέλεις να κάνεις ανανέωση συμβολαίου η αναβάθμιση. Αφού πέσουν οι υπογραφές έχουν γίνει καπνό. Απαράδεκτοι.

Don't make the same mistake

When my wife told me to stay away from Cosmote and join Vodafone instead, I sadly didn't listen to her and was too lazy to walk 200 meters to the next Vodafone shop. So I signed a 2 year contract with Cosmote.
My reception/connection was horrible all the time, while she had 5G. I've tried it with different phones, always the same. It was the Cosmote network. Their APP is a huge joke - and it only got worse, since Deutsche Telekom put their fingers even deeper into it. Whenever I needed something from the Cosmote service team, I had to have several calls...rarely with the desired result. From a simple change of address (which these guys didn't manage to change since around 7 months now), to change of plan. Their hotline is always overwhelmed and don't know what to do, nor what they are talking about. Oh yeah their hotline.. their good old hotline.... "For English press 9" -hitting the 9. Listening to 2 sentences in English only to continue listening to Greek. And then after waiting and listening to their disturbing music, that changes the volume from "I can't hear anything" to "My ears blow off", a Greek speaker responds to the call that doesnt speak English... amazing customer service. I like their humour though.
However, 2 year passed now and I thought I am finally relieved of them. Plot twist... I am not.
You cannot cancel the contract via app, chat (which always magically drops), nor email. You have to call them. Then iiiif at some point someone responds that speaks a little bit of English, that person can only forward your request. But instead of working on it and freaking cancelling your contract, they insist on calling you back within 3 working days (which of course does not happen). Called them again. New call is "scheduled" now. Whatever theiiiir meaning of "scheduled" is...
I guess the call is there to try to retain me... what a joke. Their prepaid plans are way more attractive than their contracts. So why would I ever sign a contract with them again, commit for 2 years to horrible customer service and ridiculous reception for high prices with low value in return?

So to wrap it up:
It is the worst provider Ive ever worked with. I would never ever recommend to anyone to join Cosmote.

Lets see if Vodafone will do better.

I want to share my awful experience…

I want to share my awful experience with COSMOTE. I was a customer for about one year and then switched to Vodafone because I found a better offer. I had paid all my final bills before leaving.

Now, one year later, COSMOTE sent me a legal notice through a lawyer, claiming I owe a “fine” — without ever calling me, emailing me, or informing me in any way about any outstanding balance.

How is someone supposed to pay a debt they were never notified about?

They are now threatening to add court expenses on top of the amount, even though I had no previous communication from them. Not a single email, SMS, or phone call.

What makes it even worse is that a COSMOTE salesperson recently came to my door to offer new services, and I was actually considering returning to COSMOTE for the faster internet. After this experience, I would rather stay with slow internet than deal with a company that treats customers like this.

I emailed them and still received no reply. No phone call. No explanation.
For me, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

awful company, five times price increase for extra sim

awful company not to be trusted for any service, they do not care at all about customers, they see them as euros plain, price raises without logic, extra sim with 25 euros increase from 5 euros per month (5 x increase in a day), vpn apn service cannot be activated for retail customers so you cannot use cosmote for security camera and security alarm, the most expensive internet, I will switch immediately to starlink
