Takes hours to input data that should take minutes. List of types of companies do not list the common ones. Trying to determine what fields are required takes forever.
I'm yet another user that is having difficulty with coupa. They do not answer emails, the live system help doesnt work. DO NOT USE COUPA!!!!!!!!!!!!
the user interface is terrible, and there is notorious expense rating system that gives random scores of a simple expense report. Every sane business should stay away from this product and the company... Ver más

Having been involved trying to implement a Coupa IT system, I have been appalled at the lack of experience they appear to have. Even basic functions such as initial high level specifications and gap analysis between the existing system and Coupa have been totally absent. It feels like what has been asked for by the vendor has never been attempted before. I will think twice next time I get involved with this cowboy outfit
Terrifying user experience…
One of the companies I did some work for use Coupa for registering external consultants. Its as if it was written in the 1980s and designed to make life generally very hard. I have no idea why companies use these kinds of programs but I would probably not take on a consulting job for a company that used Coupa.

Hard to fathom
Found this really frustrating and time consuming. It's written in some weird hybrid language, instructions are meaningless, form filling is repetitive and when you've finally completed everything you have no idea if anything has been registered or received by the client.

THis lot are money-grubbing shysters. I've never come across a system more willfully impenetrable. They must get bonused by their clients because so many suppliers just give up and go and shoot themselves. An absolute disgrace

Do I need to say more ? Read Coupa's own statement about their service below: It's a complete nightmare of US Corporate gobbledegook. I have told my customers that use Coupa that I just don't want their business anymore because it is such a nightmare to get paid.

Every single time I use Coupa to sign up for payment from a client it drives me insane. It is illogical, full of errors and glitches, throws in US phone numbers to mess you up and - in short - deserves to be on a bonfire of its own. Today's special was the online chat bot decided to just flash before disappearing before I could choose one of problem types. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Absolutely a nightmare to use
Absolutely a nightmare to use. Companies are using Coupa to make their vendors create their invoices for them so that they can save money on the bookkeeping side of all of this. It has literally taken me 6 Plus hours to set this account up. I still have not been able to make a invoice to my customer.
COUPA asks for non-existent Routing numbers
A client of mine is using them. They send you an email with a 48-hour time window to fill in their forms. The email comes from a donotreply address. The form requires you to fill in fields twice and when it comes to bank details they ask European bank holders for 9 character routing numbers, which some banks do not seem to have (they do have 8-11 character BIC numbers which you are expected to provide as well).
This is a terrible service. If you want to keep your service providers friendly, then do not expose them to Coupa. They are terrible.
Coupa needs a lot of help. Vendors are firing their clients.
A client of mine began using Coupa. Prior to, my client always paid on time. Services never needed any type of cancellation or interruption from our side. (Emergency service operations) Coupa issues: Poorly trained staff. I’m constantly calling their technical team to initiate trouble shooting with invoices. The only time I was able to reach someone they gave me the wrong instructions, which had caused all invoices to be voided. I send my client an invoice. It then gets uploaded to coupa which then needs approval from my client afterwards. Once approved I get resent the purchase order to re submit it again with an invoice number we already submitted through our own in house invoicing system. Why? I am the owner of a smaller business, therefore I do all the paper work and the actual work orders. I have had to hire accounting help to handle requests from invoices and account balancing that have not been paid in nearly a year. I’ve been thanked by the staff of my client for doing outstanding work. Which is why I believe this isn’t as much my clients billing issue as it is Coupas. However I have spoken to the client several times and although they remain responsive nothing transpired. I’ve spoken to other vendors with the same issues I’m having at the same site regarding the billing. I don’t have the time for double billing. From this point on, I will be charging an additional 30 minutes labor onto each invoice to accommodate said time.
It was time consuming and frustrating
It was time consuming and frustrating. There was an error in the bank account number and when I went back to change it, I couldn't! I asked for help, the answer I got was, I had to ask the customer to change it for me. Uhh, that didn't happen! Now I still have to wait for my auto pay to get rejected and then a check is mailed. Ugh!

Je comprends mieux pourquoi mon client ne s'est pas vanté de passer par eux.
On doit remplir des dizaines d'informations qui ne sont pas pré-remplies aux étapes d'après.

Even with the score disclaimer above, it’s hard to see how a clean sweep of 1 star reviews gives an average of 2.8.

One of our customers has transitioned over to using Coupa for all purchase orders. For a start their staff have had little or no training on this platform, very little help or guidance is available to the supplier so ultimately it's a fiasco. We leave a point of sale invoice after each job, worked for 30 odd years, now we have to use our time to log it onto their system in order to get paid. Adds unnecessary time,money and effort to each job we do. Ultimately making this customer far less attractive as a long term trading partner.
Inconvenient, slow and not user friendly
Inconvenient. Constantly freezing and slow. Chat is a waste of time. Write a chat comment, wait 2 minutes for a repsonse, write a comment, wait 2 minutes for a response..... Software to help customers, but not helpful at all to suppliers.
Difficult and unnecessary - I wish they didn't exist
Several clients are now asking my company to use Coupa, but it's a bureaucratic nightmare. Maybe clients find it useful, but as a supplier it's just another unnecessary middleman.
