Purchased 6 ft weeping golden willow tree, on arrival it had been cut reducing the height to 5 ft. contacted the company to inform them / report dead branches. Company stated it was dieback.
This week I noticed another branch that has died and infection tracking back to main stem. On the 30/10/26 received email stating not to worry it’s again noted as dieback, observe the tree and it will be fine and healthy next year.
Potential buyers be aware, every tree that I have purchased has been trimmed at the top by direct plant to ensure the tree/ plants fit into their transport boxes, what they don’t realise is by cutting off the top of each branch spoils the formation of the tree when it matures.
I have sent plenty of pictures as evidence to plant direct to show tree supplied is infected .
I don’t recommend buying from plants direct but if you do your taking a gamble.
There are plenty of trustworthy company that supply non infected or non trimmed trees .

Having searched long and hard for larger, well established plants to design and build a new garden under fierce Hebridean weather I found the choice at Direct Plants far the best. Good communication and excellent assistance in getting a large order shipped safely over to the Isle of Colonsay. Highly recommended.

Couldn't ask for a more helpful seller. Had severe problems with courier who failed to deliver ornamental cherry tree on a number of occasions but the staff at Direct Plants went above and beyond to get the tree to me. Fingers crossed tree will flower next spring. Would definitely recommend Direct Plants.

I struggled with the postage as my order was split into multiple deliveries over two days and I do not work from home. I would pay additional fees for named delivery day.

Arrived promptly

Only ordered a shrub literally yesterday, and it was delivered before lunchtime today!! Expected it to be in the 3-5 day time frame, so delighted.
Super quick and efficient. The plant is exactly the same as I'd ordered, I see some people have their own grievances, but my experience has been positive.

Plants arrived boxed and healthy

Bought a Fatsia Japonica XL and a Fatsia Japonica 'Camouflage'. Both if them are beautiful specimens and were delivered promptly and were packaged with care. Will definitely be purchasing from Direct Plants again.

Great price on cherry laurel hedging plants. Delivery was very fast. Plants were as described and in perfect condition.

Great service - from placing my order to delivery took 3 working days, and the plants - Laurels & Pyracantha, were all in excellent conditions and all good size and shape. I contacted them prior to placing my order and they respond promptly with detailed reply.

Awful diseased plant.. it was an expensive golden gage plum tree..vovered in mould...I emailed them the images to ask for a refund and was told they couldn't open the files?!? So no resolution and no refund..this is no way to treat a customer.

My plants arrived safely and securely packaged. Extremely happy with the health and quality of all 12 trees and a bonus free shrub. Would highly recommend in fact I'm ordering more plants from them 😊
