The spin function is useless. Most washes need 2 to 3 different programs to get clothes that are not dripping wet. Costing me a fortune in electricity and time. Don’t buy!

Rang customer help line to order and…

Rang customer help line to order and 7kg machine machine but i need a 2.5m water pipe and ebac only comes with a 1.5m pipe. they stated they do not supply a 2.5m pipe. i told them i would supply one myself but was told they would not install the machine in that case just deliver and leave it.
They were most unhelpful.

9kg 1600 spin wash machine

We have a 9kg, 1600 spin washing machine, bought in 1999. The machine is great and comes with a 7 year parts and labour warranty. This week we've had a problem with the machine leaking, sorted within two days. Great product, great service.

Bought a black 9 kg cold fill washer a…

Bought a black 9 kg cold fill washer a little over 3 months ago, delivery was delayed due to them awaiting stock of the coloured models.🙄
Soon found out that the machine enjoyed rolling your washing into a ball then bouncing itself around the kitchen when it attempted to spin!
If you dare put three bath sheets in to wash be prepared to hold the machine down when it attempts to spin!
A week after installation, the machine started to make a loud screeching noise when washing. ( who could blame it after bouncing around for so long🙄) This increased in intensity during the spin cycle.
Called Ebac who arranged for an engineer to attend.
Said engineer put problem down at first to a faulty motor bearing,…recorded the noise and sent to Ebac, who obviously concurred with his diagnosis.
He reassembled the machine and went away promising he would return with a new motor when Ebac sent him the part.
He would also replace the door mask which had a hole torn in it due to a failure at manufacture to fit a hose clip the correct way allowing it to stick into the mask during operation!
A couple of weeks later, the guy returned with new motor and door mask as promised.
Swapped out the motor in next to no time and activated the machine to test it.
Screeching was still there…!!! His next diagnosis was a drum bearing failure which would entail an almost complete rebuild of the machine!
At this point I opted to invoke my rights and rejected the machine in favour of a replacement. A week later and an email from “Judith” at Ebac apologising profusely and promising a replacement machine would be sent asap…with a caveat that they didn't have a 9kg black machine in stock so they suggested they would send a white model and when the black ones were once again in stock they would again swap the machine.
This I agreed to.
Fast forward a week later and another email from Judith, claiming an integral part of their PRODUCTION LINE had failed so the swap about would have to be put back for a while until it was fixed and they could send the machine to their couriers🤔🤦🏻‍♂️
So far my experience with Ebac had been exemplary UNTIL I strayed from buying dehumidifiers and opted to buy a washing machine from them!
Im still awaiting a replacement machine due delivery by the end of week commencing Monday 21/08/22 one hopes the replacement when it arrives wasn't built on a Friday at 4:30pm like Im sure my existing machine was!

We have bought 2 ebac dehumidifiers

We have bought 2 ebac dehumidifiers, the second one bought based on the performance of the first. WHEN they worked they were fine, but the first one died after 2 years and one month, and the second aged 2 years and 3 months. At £200 each this is pretty poor to say the least! My sister recommended ebac as she has a dehumidifier that was bought late 1990's and is still going strong. Customer services a waste of time as I was not prepared to pay for the engineers call out due to being out of guarantee, so both taken to the local tip. Now going to buy the cheapest one I can find and if it's made in china, tough. I wanted to support uk manufacturing but ebac need to work on the reliability of their goods.

Yet another fault with our washing…

Yet another fault with our washing machine. When products are unreliable you need a customer service team working weekends.
It’s so disappointing that a British product is so prone to failure. I dread to think how long it will take to repair.
4th or 5th failure & a replacement machine so far. Not good when you have a disabled adult in the house.

Ebac service and buying a washer from them

Thought I would try and buy British so ordered an ebac washer plus delivery plus installation,
First my initiall washer was not in stock so get phone call they will upgrade free of charge ( only costs £10 more but sounds good )
Wait in on delivery day by afternoon nothing here so go on live chat,spent 30 mins trying to sort out no delivery scheduled for me. Had another phone call from a lady looking into it, no paperwork generated for new washer , ebac hide behind terms and conditions and say delivery is not fixed when you tick the delivery day .Get offered free delivery £15 off .I am now told delivery will be Tuesday so agree to this ,delivery is by a 3rd party .FURDECO They arrive having rung about 30 mins away ,cannot understand what they say ,the pair of them unpack washer and leave in kitchen. What about installation? They mutter not there job,so I tell them to take the machine back in the meantime I have rung ebac customer services and delivery people wouldn’t even speak to them ,never seen anybody move so quick to be off not wanting to help Furdeco is the delivery company ,never have I dealt with anybody like this.Did not want to wait and sort problem out
Cancelled order and will deal with somebody who can deliver on time and has a decent deliver team, Ebac your delivery stinks ,suggest you use somebody else ,these people are letting you down, but you already know that don’t you !!!
Also left comments on Facebook and they seem to have been deleted ,so you do not like bad criticism,

If you are after a really good product

If you are after a really good product, with fantastic customer service than you will not get a much better company than this one, and if you buy a washing machine it comes with an all inclusive seven year warranty, my machine is so quiet and quick, i am really pleased with mine!

On the 20th July 2022 my E-bac washing…

On the 20th July 2022 my E-bac washing machine stopped working. I phoned E-Bac on the Thursday and a lovely lady listened to me and said a engineer would be in touch with in the next 48 hours. Within a couple of hours I received a txt asking if Friday morning would suit us. He duly turned up at 10am again he was very pleasant and helpful and sorted everything out He told me to contact him if anything went wrong and he would be straight back Everything was fine and I have no reservations about recommending E-Bac. Great company.

The washer was 5 and a half y.o

The washer was 5 and a half y.o. and we had no problems until now when the water pump packed in. Rang Customer Services who informed me that the m/c was still under warranty and after asking questions agreed that the pump appeared to be the problem. They got in touch with their approved service engineer who rang within minutes and arranged to call.
The call to Customer Services was at 09.30 and the service engineer left after replacing the pump and also checking there were no other problems by 11.15.
Hence rating Ebac Customer Services 100% and their service engineer 100%.
I could not believe the pleasant and efficient attention this call was given - still in shock!

Spinning frustration

British made washer. Brilliant I thought.
Frustrating is the reality. Very hit and miss regards spinning. I’ve been told the machine is “ protecting itself”.Apparently it is so clever and weighs the clothes. I wish it could be so clever and let me know there’s too little/too much before it starts. So much time and electric wasted.🤬 So the refesh wash is ok to use for a few items but if i just want to refesh a jumper, I’ll have to ring it out myself!!

Ebac 8kg coldfill

Bought from local stockist who delivered and installed with no issue, so can't comment on Ebac delivery or installation. Had a month now and no complaints, can tailor programmes to whatever load requires, washes better than my previous machine and so quiet! Happy to support a British company and hope they will be offering a full range of white goods in time.

Not a great experience ..

Not a great experience ... apart from the fact that the delivery guys dropped the machine on our drive way then on the second delivery they did the same, video evidence provided to ebac, the machine won't spin up to full speed leaving the clothes too wet to hang out or put in the Tumble dryer. Customer service said there was an imbalance in the drum. How do I avoid getting an imbalance in the drum so that it will spin to the full advertised speed? Wash items that are the same weight ! So now we are supposed to wash lighter clothes together, then in a separate load, wash the heavier clothes. So this AAA+ rated machine is going to be in use twice as long ! Utterly pointless!
To top that the machine is now marking clothes with grease marks.
After 30 mins on the PREMIUM RATE customer services number I got no joy or satisfaction. £90 call out fee if their own engineer decides there's no fault.
Might as well go and buy another at that price. I had good hopes for a British washing machine but my hopes have been dashed.

Customer service is very good, but this doesn't make the washer good!

Customer service is very good, after my first machines display blew not longer after installation they did bring me another machine very promptly.
However the spin is completely frustrating, if there's not enough in the machine it won't spin, but then if it's too full it won't wash properly or spin ARGH. I put my towels in to wash this morning, but they didn't spin, so selected spin setting which takes 20 minutes, still didn't spin. Separated the load and it span the first ones perfectly, but the 2nd half of the load is now on it's 4th spin cycle, it's now gone half 3 in the afternoon, so no chance of drying them today.
How this is economical is beyond me!

I spoke to a lovely lady about my issue a while back and apparently it's perfectly normal as the machine is protecting the bearings. Sounds like poor design to me, my previous washer never did this. I do so wish I hadn't bought it. Very expensive given the amount of frustration it causes. Do not buy would be my advice.

I was originally put off buying an Ebac, but now I think it's great.

I was originally put off buying an Ebac washer due to the negative Which review, and also Ebac say it's not stackable (in the end I ignored that and it's fine). I'm so cross with Which now that I've binned my subscription. Which say they use standard EU tests, which are largely drawn up to suit German manufacturers, who design 'to the test' to appear at the top of the tables (it seems). As Ebac say, the extra cleaning power of the German models is wasted for most washes, and if you do have a particularly dirty wash with the Ebac, you just use the Intensive cycle, maybe with a stain remover. People's experiences with the Ebac's performance are, like ours, good, so what's the point of Which's ratings? With a background in engineering, I like the design philosophy of the Ebac, which is aimed at durability, economy and sustainability; the machine is better for the environment because it uses less energy and water, and unlike its competitors, it's readily repairable and will last longer. And Ebac's customer service is, for this day and age, astonishing - somebody actually answers the phone more or less and helps! No hanging on for ages listening to silly music, your call is important to us...

Great customer service

Had a problem with our Ebac15 dehumidifier, which the lady in customer services identified straight away, told me to box it up ready for collection and that a replacement would be with me the next day. DPD delivered and collected at midday next day. How’s that for service 👍

Just purchased a new 3000 series…

Just purchased a new 3000 series dehumidifier which was on at a great promotional price and sent my old machine back for repair. Outstanding service, seamless operation. All three ladies I spoke to were really helpful and dealt with all my questions well. I am most impressed with this company and would recommend them to anyone. Regards Mary

9 Kg cold fill washing machine

I promised to review the washing machine after it was plumbed. To complete the outcome of my last review, I can confirm it was left to me in the end to extend the waste pipe. At least EBAC reimbursed my installation costs in a timely fashion, they also promised to feed back to design engineers my comment on the inadequate length of hose for connection to waste.

So to the machine itself.
The positives are that it seems robustly made, its reasonably quiet most of the time (though not exceptionally) & it washes pretty well at low temperatures.
The bad, well the spinning is odd. Firstly I find odd that a machine won't allow you to spin at maximum spin speed on the 'mixed' programme. Its default setting on selection is 800 rpm (useless), but you can change this to 1200, but not 1600rpm. In fact not many of the preset programmes allow a spin speed of 1600 rpm and the manual states the maximum load you should use for each programme and not many of them are set at 9Kg. We use the mixed programme quite a lot and it recommends something like a 6.5 Kg load. It seems somewhat arbitrary.
Then there is the actual count down timer on the machine. During the cycle the count down timer seems to comply with passing minutes exactly as every other clock in in the house, but when it reaches the spin part of the cycle, it sort of disappears into an alternative universe where time slows down. My stopwatch registered a little over 6 minutes for the machine clock to count down from 3 minutes to 2 minutes, the first time I ran the machine I thought it was stuck mid cycle. I'm used to it now but I am sure this is a little foible which some might find irritating. I haven't taken this up with EBAC. Finally I would say that the spinning leaves the clothes wetter than my old machine. I put clothes into a dryer for a fixed time and clothes used to come out pretty much bone dry with the hotpoint, but now they are slightly damp.
One last thing, I don't like the fact you have to move the dial manually to the upright position at the end of cycle for the light on the selector wheel to go out and the machine to switch off from the end programme status. I know this is picky but surely they could just add a power down timer to the programme a little after the end of cycle and door release has occurred.
