AVOID!

AVOID! This company, i placed an order which had not arrived when promised, leaving me no option and having to order it from another company that was fantastic and had my order out to me the following day, as i had run out of dog food because of electrical world, communication with this company is shocking, they do not respond and when eventually the order did arrive i notified them that due to there appalling service that i would refuse the order, because another company had supplied me with what i had needed, it has now been over a month and i am still waiting for the returned order to be reimbursed, to myself which is £111.08. I have basically had my money stolen and no help and support from the company and out of pocket because of this company, i cannot urge future customers not to touch this company.

To clarify the situation:
Your order was dispatched on 22nd September, with full tracking details provided.
Unfortunately, the courier experienced unexpected delays in transit, which were beyond our control.
When you requested a refund, we advised that it could only be processed once the goods were returned to us.
We also advised not to refuse delivery, as accepting the parcel and then returning it would have allowed the refund to be processed more quickly.
The delivery was refused on 2nd October, meaning the parcel was automatically routed back through the courier network. Refused deliveries can take several weeks to return, which contributed to the delay.
The parcel has now been returned, and your refund has been processed. Please note that delivery charges have been excluded, as the goods were dispatched and subsequently refused at delivery.
We fully understand your disappointment and sincerely apologise that your experience did not meet expectations. Please rest assured that your refund has now been completed.

I do NOT recommend

I do NOT recommend! My delivery has not arrived. There is no phone number for this company, the supposedly “live” chat is just a bot, the email address and message centre sends out bot responses about my product being delayed whenever I contact them. I have read other reviews about this too (sadly only after I ordered from them). I have had to raise a dispute with PayPal .
Update: I have since writing this received a withheld number call from them. With a supercilious attitude I was told that I had sent too many emails to them and I had not paid for express delivery inferring that I did not have a case to be dissatisfied - despite the fact they had sent responses apologising for the delay of my item! They said they wanted to resolve the issue and “draw a line under it all” but offered no resolution at all. This has only worsened my experience sadly. The comments on their Facebook page, Google and on here allow me to believe it’s not just me that has had a bad experience with them!!

You first contacted us on Wednesday evening, opening four separate lines of communication before allowing us a reasonable opportunity to respond. Our team provided a tracking update at 12:47 PM on Friday, and additional messages from you were received at 12:51 PM, 12:57 PM, and 1:43 PM. Shortly after, a PayPal dispute was opened and two negative reviews were posted.

We also attempted to contact you directly to resolve the matter, firstly to apologise and to provide guidance on processes and timescales. Our team’s intention has always been to assist, not to frustrate, and we regret that your experience did not reflect that.

We remain committed to timely deliveries and clear communication and encourage customers to allow a fair opportunity to assist before escalating issues.

❌Order not received❌ This is a pattern - read ALL the reviews ❌

++Electrical World have no customer services telephone number ++

Order placed and confirmed online 29 September.
Nothing received by 6 October so follow up email sent. Followed by another eight emails all trying to find out why Evri (their choice of courier not mine) still hadn’t delivered the order.
Lots of ‘bear with us while we investigate’ ‘we are looking into this for you’ and two weeks passes and still no order received and Electrical World refusing to send a replacement order or refund ( I did give them the choice of either solution)

Today 14 October and still no delivery and stalling from Electrical World, I have email confirmation from their courier that the order has been ‘lost’ (not Electrical World’s fault) but they are still refusing to refund the £120 I paid them two weeks ago.

Have made a Section 75 claim through my bank to get my money back from this company.

Bought a 32-Amp 3 Pin Extension Cable

Bought a 32-Amp 3 Pin Extension Cable; however, the wire was only rated 20 Amp, an electrical hazard at best of times, despite numerous emails back and forth asking why, and was willing to settle for a swap and an explanation. Finally received an email to send the old cable back for a refund?

Order delayed.

Delay in fulfilling, despatch & delivering orders happened again.

These delays are integral to EW operations as their systems not only recognise these failures but also immediately refer Customers to missing items as being part of their T&C's that Customers have agreed to!

Knowingly selling out-of-stock items, delaying an entire order as a consequence and then telling the Customer 'you signed-up to this' - Really EW, Really?
